I'm not too sure what the disappointed customer was expecting from her facial but if she was that dissatisfied and unhappy with her visit she should find another salon. The employee who provides the facials is Melanie not Melody. I moved to the Gardnerville/Minden area 3 years ago and I was referred to this salon. I have never regretted it. I personally go to the Studio 6 Salon at least twice a month and I have always been very satisfied with their customer service. Before I retired, I was a business owner myself. Occasionally, and it was rare, I would have a disappointed customer. They arrive as enthusiastic new clients and then complain about absolutely everything in order to get a discount or refund. Trust me they are out there. Meanwhile, this is a very relaxing salon and leaves its clients with a very calming feeling. read more

Melanie is beyond amazing, I she always goes above and beyond what I went in expecting. She is very knowledgeable about how to approach any skin concern I've had and recommended what is going to be most effective. After working with Melanie I would never going anywhere else for my skincare and waxing needs. Even though that means I have to drive over an hour one way to appointments with her. Her friendly and highly skilled opinion is well worth any drive. read more

Studio 6 Hair Design - Hair done by Tagan - Hair Salons Near Me - Gardnerville, Nevada

Courtney cuts and colors my hair. She has been doing a great job for two years. She listens and then uses her talent to give me what I want.

Not very happy with melody who did my facial with glycomic peel. I paid $135 plus tip which I now regret. She did not seem interested at all about my skin concerns except when she tried to sell me an expensive cream. It was supposed to be 90 minutes but I was in my car after 75 minutes. I came home and my face looked like nothing was done and she did only a few extractions. The owner said she could not refund any money and she booked me another appointment. Later, melody called and said she felt uncomfortable about doing another one on me. She asked what I was unsatisfied with and I told her. This girl cannot take constructive criticism at all, I even started out by saying she was very nice, etc. She was defensive and told me she would send me a check for 1/2 of the money back, she ended up sending me $33 !! What a joke. read more

I can highly recommend Val. She has been my stylist for over 10 years! She is an amazing artist with color and she is the only person that has helped me change my hair styles from long to short to long again without me wanting to pull my hair out! Every cut and style has been unique and "sassy" (which is the way I like it) along the way! Schedule an appointment with Val today! You will truly be glad you did! read more

It was a last minute decision but had the very best experience! At first, I was skeptical because it was my first time getting a cut within the area. I had Courtney as my hair stylist and I would highly recommend her to anybody any day! She's the sweetest and made my first visit a really great time. My hair is still full of volume and still super soft. Will most definitely come back the next time I need another cut. read more

Michelle started doing my hair almost 15 years ago and she's awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable, I don't think there's much she doesn't know. She makes sure you're happy with whatever you're getting done. Unfortunately I don't still see Michelle much since moving but my mom still goes there and loves her! Trust me, you won't be disappointed by anything Michelle does for you! read more

This salon truly is a gem! Treat yourself to a lavish hair service with these professional and friendly ladies. As I checked in for my appointment, the owner greeted me with a big smile. Everyone here was smiling and friendly---including my very talented stylist Courtney who transformed my boring blonde hair into gorgeous fresh highlights and soft ash lowlights. She seriously weaved my color to perfection! As I'm writing this review, my hair is still soft and shiny days later from Courtney's magic and the top notch quality of Aveda products. Ontop of the amazing service, the decor here is modern and nice. I booked my appointment o their website, which was very easy. I Iive two hours away but coming here is well worth the travel. I will be returning as soon as I need a touch up :) read more

Tagan is the bomb! I was a total last minute walk in for a shampoo blow-dry on my day off. Chris(owner) made me feel right at home when I came in and Tagan took great care of me and my thick hair! Service and atmosphere was so relaxing, can't wait to come back in. read more

Courtney is wonderful and never disappoints! It's scary to find a new stylist when new to a town, but I got lucky!

Chris has been doing my hair for 17 years and has never disappointed me. She always keeps up with the frequent changes of style and color that I request. Love the new expansion of the Aveda salon. I recommend the salon highly. read more

A small business that is not worth supporting. There are so many great shops on Main Street run by great people and this is not one of them. The owner is extremely unprofessional and be careful what you tell her cause nothing is confidential. She's very catty, negative, and unprofessional. When I was getting my hair done she said something nice to one of her employees then turned to me and made an awful remark about them. I feel so bad for those poor girls and all the clients who don't realize what an awful place this is. read more

This is a wonderful salon. Courtney is such a talented stylist. I love my cut and color every time. My husband loves my hair and comments after each visit! Cameo does a terrific job on my brows and her facials are so calming. read more

I just moved to Gardnerville from Southern California and was nervous that I wouldn't find a salon/hairstylist that I liked as much as the one back home. Based on such positive Yelp reviews I decided to give Studio 6 a try today and just like everyone says it was a wonderful experience. The salon is beautiful, everyone is so nice and Courtney did an awesome job on my hair. I wanted a touch up to my blonde highlights and it looks awesome! She also gave me a beautiful blowout and I couldn't be happier. This will definitely be where I go whenever I need any beauty treatment. read more

This salon is AMAZING! I have tried many high end salons in the area and this one by far beats them all! If you looking for a good color and cut Courtney is your girl! I can't even begin to explain how amazing my blonde looks! I have had a hard time finding someone who can get it perfect but Courtney nails it every time and I have never had a complaint! read more

Courtney did my hair for my wedding day and it was gorgeous! I have short, fine hair that doesn't hold curls (which I really wanted) and a flower crown that I was going to wear. After her initial consultation she knew exactly what she wanted to do and how she was going to do it. She is a true professional! The day of my wedding was the windiest day of the year and my hair did not move! It help up perfectly! This is fantastic salon and well worth the money! And Courtney is awesome and extremely friendly! read more

First, I want to be clear that Tagan is as talented and delightful as all the other reviews say she is. Courtney and Melodie are also highly talented. Today, however, I had a remarkably unpleasant and unprofessional experience at the Studio, and I think I need to post a warning for the unwary. I had an appointment with Tagan today to do my nails, but she went home ill, so I took a chance with a new girl, Natalie. It was a disaster. She was unable to even remove the existing polish (applied at the Studio 4 weeks ago). First, she failed at the chemical process, so she tried chipping it off, and when she failed at that, she tried filing it off, leaving my nails ragged and rough and totally compromising the nail bed. Even then, she hadn't succeeded in removing all of the old polish, so when she began applying new polish, I was concerned. When, after 2 coats, the scattered remnants of the old polish were still visible through the new, I asked her if she thought that was good enough, and when she said, "yes," I figured it was time for me to leave. I thought about complaining to Christine, the owner, but she was with a client, and I didn't want to embarrass Natalie in front of her boss and that client, so I told Natalie I was leaving, and I did. I didn't pay --would you? When I arrived home, I exchanged phone calls with Christine. Do you remember what I said earlier about unpleasant and unprofessional? I won't be going back. As I said, Tagan, Melodie, and Courtney are first rate, but my warning to you is to be careful if Christine tries to pawn you off on somebody else. Her turnover rate is high, so there's a good chance that she'll try it on you soon. read more
