Let me say my masseuse was not one of the ones mentioned. She was not very friendly. Didn't ask what brought me in or if I had any areas of focus. Just looked at the paper I filled out said ok and that was that. She was so rough even after I told her it was hurting very badly. She said it was my fault I have knots so it's going to hurt but didn't let up on the pressure or get out of that area. I have RA and Lupus and severe joint and muscle pain which I did advise of. I was writhing when she touched certain spots and it seemed she pressed harder. I asked for my lower back to get some attention but that didn't happen either she stayed up top. I usually get a good nap and feel great after a good massage but that did not happen this time. I couldn't relax. I went home and have been so sore (not in a good way either). I can't move my shoulders, arms or bend down. My neck is stiff and I've had a migraine since I left. I may try again with someone else but I'm on the fence. Just an update: it's a week after my terrible experience. No one from the spa has reached out. No one has acknowledged my experience. I am still in terrible pain that was caused by the masseuse. I'm now having pain, shocks running down my mid back and legs from the excessive pressure the masseuse used after I told her it was too much, after I told her it was hurting, after she told me it was my fault because of my knots.

The receptionists are beyond friendly and they always make reminder calls to keep the business moving efficiently. At first, I was a little taken aback by the open floor plan with chairs, sinks, and hair dryers side by side. But, it makes the whole atmosphere feel friendly and cozy. I love the eggshell blue walls and chandeliers above each chair. The whole room feels rather fancy and I leave feeling just as spiffy. My hairdresser, Kristin, has been cutting my hair for years and I haven't found another with such an amazing talent for shape and color. But in looking around, it seems that the other stylists are just as talented. I mean, you can't have a packed waiting room with poor performance, right? While waiting during a color or foil, I've been offered coffee and water... A nice touch! Overall, bravo... I've been super impressed with the team at Pure Salon!

The Spa is cute and not far from my home, and includes a row of very busy hair stylists, and also an area for Manicures and Pedicures. The massage room was quiet, peaceful and comfy. The Massage Conversation was just right, thank God it didn't start with the dreaded "So do you have a boyfriend? What does he do? What do you do?" while I'm laying there trying to forget that I have a life outside my pampering day. I'm really looking forward to coming back, and making this more of a regular pampering place!

Trouble started when I tried to book a spa package. At first, no one would answer the phone. I…read moretried multiple times during the day when they website said they were open. So, I left a message. No one called me back. Someone finally answered after the third day of trying. I would have given up, but I had purchased a Groupon. The Groupon they had advertised was for a three hour spa package. Mani, pedi, hot stone massage and hot stone facial. They pushed me out the door after two hours exactly. I handed the owner my Groupon while my nails were drying. Gave her a generous tip to share with the massage "therapist". They both then proceeded to walk out the back door. Didn't say thank you, or good bye, or hope you enjoyed your visit, or I'm sorry we're an hour short today, etc. One of the hair dressers politely said for me to have a nice day. I was the first client of the day. They got there and opened up at exactly 10:01. The rugs and floors were dirty. The nail area needed a good scrub and sanitizing. It was kind of like a one room school house. To the right are the hair stations (2 or 3) and to the left is the small nail area. Straight back behind the receptionist "pedestal" is the hair washing station and to the right is the "massage room". I can't imagine what the massage room would have sounded like if someone was getting their hair washed. The massage room is sectioned off by sheet rock ONLY. You can hear everything that was in the salon. While my masque was drying, the lady felt the need to eat chips....in the room. I have never had that happen in my life. Oh, and I was super curious as to what a hot stone facial was, but I'll never know. It was just a regular facial that I could have done at home. Didn't feel refreshed and I actually felt dirty. Poor job of washing the masque off. I went out for lunch afterwards and my entire nose was still full of masque goop. I recommend a business owner refresher course, a good deep cleaning, and removing the word "SPA" from the business name.

Went two weeks ago to get a full acrylic set. I'm not sure what they used but it was painful-the…read morenail tech even said to pull my hand out of the light for each nail when it got too painful & then put them back in the light. Those nails only lasted 5 days before one of them (painfully) came off. I went back to get it glued back down. Five days later another nail came off & then a day or two later the first nail that came off came back off, and very painfully cracked my nail. They also had grown out way more than normal in two weeks. Since they looked crazy & I had an event tonight I had to go back and get them fixed. The nail tech today seemed to be in a rush & didn't ask my anything about how I wanted my nails other than color. There is paint around my cuitles and there is essentially no shape to the nails-just kind of blobs. They don't look good but I was charged for a brand new set. So in two weeks I spent $120 (plus the tips) for bad nails, twice.
