Nina is a great colorist. I had major roots and discoloration from my last stylist. She worked her magic and my hair turned out a beautiful blonde again. On top of that, I had extensions she was able to work around. It wasn't easy. The only issue was that she originally told me a price and then when I went to pay it ended up being $80 or $90 dollars more. I am fine with paying more for her beautiful work and she took time and effort into my hair but I do wish I was informed before she started the process what she was charging more for because I wasn't expecting a different price and a little taken back. Again, I recommend her I just want to know what's going on. read more

I've been looking for a hairstylist for years and been jumping around trying to get the haircuts that I'd like. My cousin referred me to ERRINE. She told me that her salon was in Sherman oaks and so I thought that it would be expensive. When I found out the price, it wasn't that bad so I decided to try her out. I called, set an appointment, and was eager to check out the salon. As soon as I got there, the vibe was relaxed and the place was very contemporary. Everyone greeted me with a warm "welcome". I sat on the chair and explained to Errine what I wanted and she exactly knew what to do. First cut was great and I knew that she was a keeper. A few cuts later, I decided to change my style and gave her free reign of what she thought I should get. Being creative as she is, she got my input and also put in hers. I absolutely love my hair! I had gone to two different stylists prior to coming here and both times ended up in disappointment. So after doing some research I came across this salon. I reached out to Andi and within 24 hours I had an appointment scheduled. She cut and colored my hair. The results were AMAZING!!!! I would recommend Andi as she has great energy and does amazing hair. The salon is very nice and everyone is friendly. They have tea and coffee available for their customers. I was nervous since I don't normally trust my hair to just anyone, but my friend has beautiful hair so I thought I was safe. Right from the beginning, not only did I feel like I had made a new friend but he knew exactly what I was looking for. Raul is fun and friendly and just the sweetest hair dresses I have ever been to. The prices are reasonable, availability and flexibility are on point and perfect for my busy work schedule. Location is perfect if in the beautiful Sherman Oaks area where you can grab some coffee at Starbucks before your appointment and a nice dinner afterwards. The decor is amazing and so is the owner. If you want a beautiful ombre without any brassy, orange shades, then ONLY go to Raul. I saw his brilliant work on a co-worker, and decided to go to him. For the past 3 years I've been trying to achieve a gorgeous ombre color with different colorists, but only was disappointed. Raul looked at my hair and said he'd known exactly what I wanted, and went to do some magical color mixing. I only wanted one thing...no more orange in my hair.. Well...he made my hair look amazing! It had some very mild silvery tone, and was IT! Perfectly blended shade. It looked soooo good, but I was hesitant to admit it, as it usually always looks pretty after the hairdresser applies a toner and styles it. A few weeks passed by. I am writing this review pretty late. I got my ombre done and a hair cut by Errine about 6 or 7 months back and it's taken me a while to write the review. First off I'll say Errine did an amazing job on my hair. She was super nice and I have gotten nothing but complements on the ombre. The only reason this isn't a five star review is because I walked out feeling pretty upset. I had called when I made the appointment and asked prices. I was told the hair cut would be around 70 and the ombre would be about 275 or so. I planned on this and went in for my appointment. When I arrived Errine was working on another client and came to tell me that she was behind. She asked if I wouldn't mind getting a Starbucks and coming back in an hour. I said sure and honestly I totally understood and appreciated her giving me the heads up. However, when I came back for my appointment I felt like she was rushing. Then she had to go before I was done and another girl finished up for her. I was pretty annoyed then because I had been considerate in coming back but she still rushed through my appointment. Then the girl that finished my hair gave me my total. ... $675... I was in shock and I asked her about it and mentioned I was told to plan on about 350. She seemed bored and told me the toner and blow dry were charged separately. I have never in my life been to a salon that had a separate charge for these things when I'm already getting a cut and color. In my mind that is like charging to wash out the hair dye. .. So after tip I walked out paying 700.00 pretty much double what I expected. So like I said I was very happy with my hair but I don't plan on going back. read more

The worst experience ever! never ever come to this helll, it's nasty , unwelcomed place with rudest people ever! I made an appt with Vivienne for an ombré and she didn't asked about my hair type or color, nothing, I was so exiting finally to do an ombré for my birthday, I spent almost 2 hours to get there, and when I came to the salon I was so disappointed, at first This place looks like cheapest barbershop from '90, and they can't do an ombré on black hair! ok,I got it, but Vivienne was just crying like crazy : "YOUR HAIR IS BLACK!WHY DO YOU CAME HERE?YOUR HAIR IS FINE, SO DAMAGED!!I CANT DO THIS!! FIND SOMEONE WHO WILL DO IT FOR YOU!!! And she was repeating it all over again and again, so annoying. I said : "ok I don't blame you or something, just calm down, it's ok" then I realized how much time I spent and I decided to do just a haircut, guess what Vivienne said: "I DONT WANNA DO A HAIRCUT! , I was just like Whaaat!?are you kidding me? I was so confused and I mentioned that I will leave review on yelp, and a guy (I don't know his name, he is a hairdresser also) yelled at me : "FUCK OFF BITCH,FUCK YOU AND YELP! GET OUT OF HERE!", and all there stuff was starting li laugh!! I wanted to make a video of him but I was just afraid he will threw his scissors into me! this place is crazy mess, stuff is full of psychos!! read more

So unprofessional! I would give it no stars if I could. The first time I called to make my appointment I get set up with Errine who I believe is also the owner. So when i get there at the scheduled time she is not there. First of all when I got there I just didn't feel welcomed and second i had a busy day that day so i couldn't really afford to waste my time. But anyway Errine gets there like 40 minutes after my appt time and apologizes and says that she got mixed up because one of her appointments had cancelled and she thought it was me so whatever I let it go. She did a good job with my hair trim and was it nice chatting with her, I liked her. Then before I leave I set up another appointment for 2 months later for another trim and tells me that they will call me one week before just to confirm. Fine ok. A couple weeks before my 2nd appt I make another appt to get my hair done for my cousins wedding. The day before my appt I asked her if she could take me in any earlier than my 9:00am appt and she says she can't because she was booked at 8am to do a blow-out at a clients house so I said fine but I let her know that I was super tight on time that morning. So she was aware. Anyway I get to the salon right at 9am and it is CLOSED!!! No one is there!!! So I call her and let her know I am there and she asks for my name like she didn't even know who I was and forgot about the appt! So unprofessional! She tells me she's on her way and will be there ASAP. She gets there like 15-20 minutes later and gets dropped off by some guy and when she gets out of the car I swear she looks like she had just woken up and like she had been partying all night. She doesn't even look at me when she goes to open the door and then asks "so what are we doing today?"!!!! Are you f****** kidding me lady??!!! Then again forgets my name. I mean she definitely did not look good she looked hungover. After she finished my hair it was nice but it looked like I could've done it myself. Before I leave I remind her that I have another appt set up in about 3 weeks for another trim and she says ok yes we will definitely give you a call a week before just to confirm and I said ok gave her a nice tip and left rushing to get dressed. I was so upset and not happy that she was late AGAIN! So for the 3rd appt I waited to see if she would call to confirm and nope of course she didn't, she probably forgot AGAIN! I didn't even bother calling myself. I gave up on Studio212. read more

Ada is AMAZING. I literally just joined Yelp so that I can tell you all how fabulous she is at extensions. When I came in for my very first consult she sat with me and explained all the different extensions and how they are applied. She even applied a few different kinds in my hair so I could feel what they felt like when attached. After that, she literally drove with me to the hair store to make sure I bought the right kind and let me use her hairdresser discount. She took her time doing my hair and was very gentle. Got a fantastic cut for $25! I was on a budget, the stylist was very personable and attentive to the details of what I needed. She was fast and accurate and I would recommend her to anyone (unfortunately I forgot her name). I normally get my hair cut by a friend at a very nice salon in Beverly Hills, but I'm on a budget and after a bad experience at Aveda (I walked out), I came to this place and was not disappointed. I'm so glad I found the amazing stylist at Studio212!! I walked in with a scary bright yellow, bleach blonde hair dye job gone wrong from another "stylist" elsewhere.. & left Studio212 with beautiful blonde hair with great lowlights to make the color and style match my skin tone. Errine, Ada and Vivian did an AMAZING job turning my hair into the fun blonde color I've been dying to try!! Ada also recommended a hair treatment to lock in the color and help repair my hair from previous processing which left my hair damaged. This was the best hair treatment I've ever had. My hair was so soft, hydrated and felt silky smooth. Ada also did a blowout which too was great. I love Studio212 and cannot believe I haven't started coming here sooner. This is my fav place. Raul is an amazinggggggggggggggggg hair artist! He gave me the best hair cut I had in years. I have always been so hesitant to try front bangs but wanted to try it so bad. He completely eased me into it by cutting a little by little and showing me how it looks at every step. He is great at sensing what you are looking for and getting you to an awesome end result.
