This is why I'm changing my review When I initially went to Ernie I was interested in an ombré hairstyle but she suggested that it wouldn't look good and it was played out so she recommended highlights instead and I decided to listen to her professional advice. She went ahead and did the highlights and I was initially happy with it, keep in mind I was really really into the ombré at the time.... I'm not sure if she tried to upsell me on something or she genuinely thought I would look better with highlights..... A month and a half went by and my roots grew in as they grow in pretty quick and I went in there and I told her I did not want to continue with the highlights and would like the ombré which was what I initially wanted. The first thing that came out of her mouth when I told her was "what you cant afford the highlights?" ..I was taken back by it and told her that I initially wanted the ombré. After deciding on the ombré she started to dye my hair doing it very quickly and seemed kind of bothered by my decision. When she finished the ombré came out horrible!!!! Let me just start by saying that a good ombré should gradually go from dark to light. This ombré was horrible and definitely NOT Something that should come out of a five star salon. The line between the 2 hair dyes was very obvious. Not to mention I also asked for a light to dark brown ombré. When she finished it was almost black to a dark brown!!!!!! She had to have me step outside to see the color in the light which did not make a difference it still looked horrible. After this horrible experience driving back home I noticed she left hair dye all over my ears my neck !!! The next day I dyed it myself and made it look a lot better than she ever did. I seriously think I insulted her when I didn't want to pay more for something I didn't want. Will never go back to her again! I thought the reviews were amazing and that's why I went in the first place...completely false!!!!!! If I'm going to be paying an arm and a leg at a salon I expect to feel a little bit more appreciated and expect to look like I actually walked out of a 5 star salon! Instead I looked like I came out of a dingy salon in an alley. What a horrible experience.... read more

I am very disappointed with the haircut I recently got from Andi. My hair is completely chopped!!! The layers are not blended and one side is noticeably longer than the other. It was blown out when I left the salon, which made It easy to miss the choppiness. However, once I straightened it myself, the choppy layers were revealed. I have never had a haircut as bad as this one. I have to go to another salon just to get it fixed. In addition, I was charged more than I was originally quoted. Not only did I leave feeling like I spent too much, I am absolutely embarrassed by the way my hair looks. I would not recommend this salon. People were friendly, but over priced and bad product. I have been going to Raul for almost 2 years now and I absolutely LOVE HIM!!! From the very first time he cut my hair I was hooked! He is so great at what he does!! Ada is amazing. My friend referred me to her for a haircut and color, and I couldn't have been more pleased. I wanted an ombre, but I had no idea how to articulate exactly what I wanted to Ada (i.e. How dramatic I wanted the fade, if I wanted to dye my roots a different color). She was great and let me talk it all out with her, then showed me a lot of great options despite my lack of communication skills that day. The ombre I ended up with is fantastic, and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it. The fade is so smooth and natural, it blew my mind. I normally find my hairstylist by referrals from family members or friends. But lately I've been in search for my own hairstylist and also just going by reviews from other customers. When I do find them I stay loyal until the distance becomes a problem. It's really hard to find someone you TRUST especially when it comes to your hair. It has a HUGE potential of getting butchered 100%. But after a few trial and error I can finally say I found the ONE - Raul from Studio212. Before I met with Raul I consulted with him over the phone, sent him a picture of my current hairstyle and a pic of how I want it. I was scheduled to see him the following day. My hair had too much brassiness and he recommended what should be done. After a few hours later my hair looked AMAZING! I loved the color that he did to my hair and the shine that my hair has. Even my husband noticed the shine...lol I have been seeing Raul for quite some time now and to this day my hair is still shiny and healthy and the color stays for a long time. LOVE MY HAIR!!! This review is for the women with cheeks of stained tears and box dye color packages filling their trash cans. For the woman with split ends and unmatched eyebrows. For the lovers of tousled curls who can barely turn on their curling wands. I was one of you. Until I met the man who changed my life...of my hair that is! Yes that intro was cheesy, but your haircut doesn't have to be! I saw Raul (make sure you remember this name, his talent might take him far away) with a heavy heart and even heavier hair problems. I have had thin hair my entire life. Mix that with 4 shots of vodka and a horrible bleach idea later, my hair was hopeless. I texted Raul, a referral from 4 of my girlfriends (!!!!) and he took me in for a consultation literally the next day. When I came and saw him he sat me down and I explained how I was just sick of my hair and wanted a change. I vacillated between colors, length, and so many options but eventually came up blank. I had NO CLUE what I wanted, all I cared about was that it was was pretty, longer, and oh-- is by tomorrow okay?? Either some higher power granted me a blessing or Raul was just my hair angel sent from above, because he just said "Screw it, let's start you now." And he did! I was throw in his chair faster than that dead hair down your drain and he just catered to everything I needed (including my budget, which again if you read this Raul thank you thank you thank you, sorry I'm so cheap LOL). He didn't just lift my color in an hour, he lifted my SOUL. Who knew after the trauma my hair endured??? It could ever be healthy?? Especially blonde???? Magic. The next day he dexterously applied extensions to my hair with the PERFECT length that I had originally thought wouldn't be enough for me, but surprise, he was right and I was not to be trusted for my scalp's best interest. I've been cheated on before, but with Raul I've practically let go of my trust issues. I'd even trust him if he told me to go bald (which he never would because he knows my kind of fabulous). Love the new place! Looks super chic and very mellow environment. I have been going to Errine for years! It's a nice location, and i'm glad that she's kept her prices super low and affordable compared to other beauty salons in the neighboring area! Errine knows my hair, and how I want it and sometimes I don't even have to tell her anything, because she knows what fits my personality and style and she just works her magic on me! Every time I get my hair done with Errine, I get numerous compliments on my hair! The place was super easy to find and parking was a breeze (which always worried me before going because I hate street parking, but I didn't have that problem here, there was always parking available) I Love how Errine makes me feel like family, and gives 110% attention on me and my needs! I was recommended to Nina and decided to get my hair dyed by her. It had been more than 10 years since I dyed my hair! I was a bit nervous but Nina is such a sweet and welcoming hairstylist. She made me feel comfortable right away. I showed her a picture of some highlights and once I dyed it and went home I wasn't too happy because I realized highlights were not for me. I texted her a day after and she was so nice and told me to come in the next day to add more toner. I came in on Christmas Eve and she was understanding and wanted to make sure I was happy with the end results. I showed her some pictures and she added more toner to remove the highlights. I've been going to Errine for a while now, and I've been meaning to do this review for her and Studio 212....so, this is a long time coming... I first started going to Errine just for up-dos and make-up (for all the weddings that I was in). Then, I was lucky enough to snag her team to do my wedding. Errine was awesome! She was able to do my 5 bridesmaids, my mom, and myself in a short period of time. And, she and her team were such troopers to wake up before the sun came up to get all of us ready at our hotel. Everyone turned out so great and I was so happy with my up-do (I didn't want any of my hair in my face since the weather was warm, and I love dancing.) My hair kept up for the whole night, and it didn't feel too stiff or awkward. I asked to keep my makeup natural, and was not disappointed. It showed in the pictures, but I didn't look too done up. It was perfect. After the wedding, I became a regular. Errine has helped me go through so many hairstyles from ombre to balayage, light to dark to light, long to short. She's never steered my wrong and has talked me out of some potential mane disasters. She is great with getting my color right. When I wanted to go ombre, Errine did a fantastic job. I had virgin black hair at the time. So, she didn't go blonde, but a caramel color which worked well with my tan skin. When I got sick of the ombre (because it started popping up everywhere!), she transitioned me into a brown balayage. Then I wanted to light again, so she turned the brown to honey. With all the changes in hair color, you'd think that I would have really damaged hair, but my hair is still really health and I credit that to Errine's magic touch! I don't like high maintenance hair. If I could roll out of bed, pass a brush through my hair and go on with my day, it's a win. Errine understands that and makes sure that whatever hairstyle I go with is somewhat low maintenence. My hair is slick straight, so when I went short, she warned me that it would be more work than you'd think (she was right, of course), but it's still great! I love Errine so much that if I ever move away from the Valley, I would make the trek to see her! If you come to Studio 212, you won't be disappointed! read more

If you're looking for a haircut on your 30 minute lunch break this is the place. I've never had such a quick cut in my life. On the other hand - if you're looking for a more relaxing, pampering experience, you may want to continue looking and possibly invest your dollar elsewhere, especially if you're hoping to make a nice experience of it as many women do at the salon. Raul washed, (not conditioned), cut, dried and styled my hair in exactly 28 minutes while another client sat with dye on her head (again, great for the lunch-break-haircut-experience if that's what you're actually going for) Upon arrival I waited while he finished putting color in another clients hair and during the time her color was sitting, he quickly washed & chopped my hair, and spun me right out the door before patiently tending to his other client again. The cut turned out okay. The ends seemed a bit choppy and blunt for my personal taste and I did end up have them blended a bit more 'gracefully' by my original stylist, but not by much because generally the cut was alright. Raul was super sweet, but I felt kinda funny returning to my car with over an hour left on the meter because in what world is 28 minutes a thorough haircut with new layers for long hair (including wash, cut, dry & style)? To be fair, maybe this is all just a different pace than I'm used to because his reviews and pics seemed to be amazing (hence why I requested him in the first place) but.... I have a very specific way I like my hair, warm but not too warm, dimensional but not streaky, and basically I want it to look like the perfect highlights that little girls have. "Better Call Raul" My cut & color was the highlight of my week--no pun intended;-) Now I look stylish, younger and feel more confident than ever, which is extremely important in the competitive design industry I am in. My previous stylist (@ another salon) cut my hair in a very bad way 3x so I moved on. I was expecting the grow out process to take months and was prepared to spend a fortune on extensions if necessary. Luckily, Raul worked his magic with a new cut, low-lights/touch-up/toner all for under $200! (Chin length bob). He did not take advantage of my desperate hair situation and was also very nice and fun to talk to. I have natural wave, lots of cowlicks and very fine hair. I spent most of my life at war with these features, now I barely have to do anything. My hair has so much body, it is amazing. Everything goes where it is supposed to naturally, like those 'people' we all hate. I am excited to have people hate me because I look great. P.S. If he suggests dying your eyebrows, let him! I even put off cutting or doing anything to my hair until I go back to my home town to visit family. But my hair had become to long and limp and I was getting tired of bundling it up in a tight ponytail everyday. Raul had so many glowing reviews I decided to book an appointment with him and I'm glad I did. Went in for a simple trim. Raul was very professional and confident with what he was doing. (I had previously been to a hairstylist who would ask me after every snip if 'that was ok?'. I suppose she was trying to be considerate but it made me very nervous and think perhaps she didn't know what she was doing.) My hair has turned out great and I'm considering perhaps going back to get it colored by him too. His rates are also very competitive. My mom, sister-in-law, and me all love this place! Errine does the best blow dry and or style( perfect wavy curl style with extensions). Most places u go to and ask them to curl your hair make u look like a poodle but Errine does a perfect wavy curl like you always see on celebrities! No one does it As good As her and trust me I've looked all over this valley! Perfect for parties, dates, and a mood picker upper ;) oh yeah and her hair cuts are perfect! I ventured into Studio 212 after seeking out a 2nd opinion about my botched hair extensions. I saw Errine, who's also the owner & I couldn't have been more relieved. Right away she was able to determine what was all going on & offered to take my extensions out, re-tip & redo them for an amazing price and could get me just days later. I'm really picky about my hair & I'm really happy with her. She's pretty, trendy & has a really good attitude. The rest of the staff & clientele seemed really laid back and friendly with one another. Prices are great, location is easy to get in/out of with parking in the back on Allot.
