I'm only leaving one star because I have to.. First of all, I feel bad because I usually only write good reviews; I have worked in customer service my entire life and know mistakes happen. I am forgiving, allow second chances, and move on with no hard feelings. It took me a day to write this so I could chill out from being so angry.. Please feel free to read my original (well.. edited original) review from last April. The final product looked beautiful and my stylist was super sweet. However, I should have taken it as a sign before my hair was even touched to RUN. The owner talked in a demeaning tone to my stylist while I was in the chair - unbelievably unprofessional. I felt sorry for her and it was awkward. The stylist apologized several times. No worries.. the overall appointment was fine. The girl just started working there and I could tell she needed customers. I was willing to give her a chance, as anyone deserves. The owner called me multiple times after my cut and color review (April 2016) and begged me to change or delete my review because it was hurting business. I talked to her and she left me messages, but the sole focus of her calling was so she woukd look good on Yelp. I try supporting local, small businesses and agreed that I would change my review after the service was rendered. She kept begging, and I insisted the review would be edited to reflect satisfaction after the outcome. The owner personally agreed to reimburse me for my dress, which was around $80-90. I declined because I didn't feel right about it, so she offered to do any service(s) I wanted and that she'd personally do the appointment and see to it that everything was made right. I wrote down that our last conversation was 4/28/16. She wanted me to come in right away to provide the service, but who needs another cut and color that soon? I explained that my hair naturally is blonde and I tend to only color my hair 1-2 times a year at most, and usually in late winter when my hair darkens. She said that was no problem and to call when I was ready to set it up. Good. I was happy with that. In my mind, I knew my experience should be great and there'd be no hard feelings. Things happen. She owned that and was trying. Fast forward to this week. I left a message Monday (the salon was closed) for her to call me so I could redeem my service. She left me a voice message yesterday saying "uh yeah. We need to talk about that" and chuckled. My immediate thought was it wasn't good. I called back late Tuesday afternoon. Her tone was sour and she said that it has been over a year so she couldn't do it now. I told her I documented our conversation as the very end of April and that I mentioned at that time that it may be many months and into late winter (Jan. or Feb.) before I came back. She denied that and kept saying she'd give me a discount but not free. I asked what the discount would be and she said a mere 15%. Soo... for a service that cost me $80+tip, a ruined dress of $80-90, and compensation was to pay again to save 15%. I remained calm and gave reasons for why I found this unfair. I know she wasn't the stylist who did my hair, but running a business has give and take. She got really rude and was firm on 15%. There was no compromise or willingness to make it right. As a customer, I was appalled by her lack of empathy or desire to try to satisfy a customer. Is the customer always right? Absolutely not. My wishes were reasonable. I told her to forget it and I'd go elsewhere. I said the conversation clearly wasn't going anywhere and it wasn't worth the frustration or time dealing with it. I have cut my losses and will never return. To Soheila who will read this... It won't surprise me at all if you call and beg me to edit or delete this. Nope. I edited my first post when it wasn't warranted, but after multiple rude interactions, zero satisfaction other than keeping a reputation, something has got to give. I would have nothing but good things to say any time a business cares enough to do the right thing. No loss. There are plenty of great salons who treat ALL customers with respect and courtesy. When I find a great place, I tell all my family and friends and will be loyal only to that establishment. That, Soheila, is what establishes loyalty with clients and creates referrals from word of mouth. Unfortunately for your character, it certainly is a poor way to resolve issues. Pick your battles and don't always have to be authoritative and "right." Wrong. You lost an understanding, forgiving client, who will tell others to avoid this place. Sorry, stylists. I bet you're wonderful; however, this is pathetic for an owner to act this way and back out of a verbal agreement. DO NOT GO HERE! See Pictures read more

My sister-in-law booked this salon's services for her wedding. First, I want to say that the actual hair and makeup technicians that came to the wedding location day-of were wonderful, but dealing with the business owner was an absolute nightmare. Soheila is her name. After negotiating a total price for hair and makeup services for the bridal party, she kept trying to add on additional fees for random things - constantly...for example..the contract was finalized and she came back saying that to make "her day less stressful" she wanted to show up an hour earlier...but then she "needed" to charge more than we agreed. We said absolutely not. That was not the only time she tried coming back after the contract was finalized to try and add on fees for things she had never previously mentioned and that we DID NOT agree to. Also, after the final payment was made (100% of the contracted fee was paid) she charged an additional 2 fees to the credit card we used. NO authorization was given to her to save our credit card information (which is illegal) or to put through additional transactions without prior approval. I don't normally leave reviews unless the service I receive is incredible, but I'm making an exception in this instance because I would never want another bride to have the experience my sister-in-law did. She was actually brought to tears during her dealings with this business owner. Be careful when considering working with this business. They nickel and dime for random things that weren't previously discussed at all. I would demand a written contract with all fees included prior to paying a penny, and would include language in the contract that no additional charges will be added after the contract is finalized without prior WRITTEN approval by the client. I had a groupon for Shear Style by Jeanine fir a color/cut/style. Jeanine works out of Studio 210 and I have to say she is pretty amazing. Very personable and friendly. She listened to what I wanted and delivered. My haircolor looks really good. She even took the time to straighten my hair w/o charging extra. Since my hair is long most places don't even bother with drying it all the way even though I end up paying for a style. I have a very sensitive scalp to color but, my scalp did not burn at all. I'm so glad I found Jeanine as she will be my stylist for a long time to come. read more

I have been a happy customer of Soheila's for years. I followed her to Studio 210 from her previous location when she moved. I am always pleased with my hair when Soheila is finished. She spends so much time with me, making sure my hair lays perfectly after each cut. She is an excellent colorist. I've also received beautiful highlights, as well as short and long styles. I have never found anyone that can even come close to Soheila! read more

My appointment was with Janine. To be honest, I booked with this salon because I got a great deal on Groupon. To my surprise, this was one of the best salon experiences I've had in years. I had a hairdresser I loved in Brandon for over 20 years, but she retired. Thank God I was able to find a great new stylist. Thank you, Janine. I signed up for Yelp just to write this review about this place, I'm so upset! I hadn't dyed my hair in years!! I was going to a wedding that day and wanted to look beautiful! I made an appt with Shannon at 11, i told her when I made the appt about what I wanted and what time the wedding was and she swore it could be done! I get there && she didn't even start me until almost an hour after my appt!! THEN... Half fasts EVERYTHING!! My "highlights" look like they came out of a do it yourself hair color from wal mart and my makeup! OMG my baby sister could have done better! She puts dark plum lipstick on me, who's very pale!! I told her I wanted a smokey eye, her idea of a smoky eye was half fast eyeliner!! Are you kidding me right now?!? I showed her a pic of how I wanted my hair!...NOTHING, like the pic did it come out! And had another lady ATTEMPT to curl my hair which came out looking like frizz and NO CURL! I left there in tears with literally min to get to this wedding!! MEANWHILE, about 3 times while she's half fasting everything, she tells me to giver a review on here...lol! Here ya go!! I had my makeup done for my wedding day. Nicole was my makeup artist and I couldn't have asked for better! She was so nice, she really listened to what I wanted and made me look so beautiful! They were on time for the day if the wedding to do my makeup as well as my mother and grandmothers. She really adapted to each persons wants and needs and different skin types. I found this salon off a groupon for a cut and color and they were fabulous! has a very laid back, homie vibe to the salon compared to many of the stiff and snooty ones I have experiences before. My stylist was very experienced and gave me exactly what I wanted. I cut off my long hair to a long bob and she made it exactly as I pictured. The color she suggested was also perfect for my eyes and skin tone. Definitely going back for another style! read more

I would highly recommend Shannon for hair color, cut and style. I walked in with a brassy blonde mess and walked out with a beautiful miracle. I am used to spending crazy amounts of money in South Tampa for my hair and still not really being pleased with the outcome. Shannon takes the time to get to know your hair type and she works her magic. Not too mention, the price is very reasonable. If you want a hair style that well surpasses South Tampa Salon's AND has reasonable prices, ask for Shannon. She is Amazing! read more

The people here are very friendly. That aside, I have the worst hair cut I have had in years. I asked for a short haircut- to my shoulders, and then when it was dry it would be maybe a little shorter, maybe a little longer. I warned that my hair is curly so cutting it any shorter than my shoulders gives me a terrible look. In the end my hair when STRAIGHTENED reaches to my jaw bone. The stylist showed me where she was going to cut it to, so I honestly don't know what happened because it is several inches shorter than that. I was so excited to get my hair cut. Now I just hope it grows really fast because it looks like a nightmare hair cut from my child hood. I wanted to cry when I saw it. Like I said, they were very friendly and perhaps I am the exception, but I would not recommend this place for someone with curly or unusual hair. read more

I came in with pictures and talk about what I wanted. They did not agree, and thought I should have a different cut. I kept trying to tell them what I wanted but felt ganged up on since there were 3 of them telling me what I should do. The haircut was nicely done, but not what I wanted. I am absolutely in love with 210 Bridal/Studio. I am very happy I went with them on my wedding day on February 4, 2017, including my bridal party of 6. They did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and also the wedding party as well. I did a hair/ makeup trail 1 month before the wedding to make sure they got the look I was trying to achieve. I highly recommend getting a trail as the stylist was able to offer tips and input feedback of what would look best with the style of my dress and to make sure my makeup would last all day on me with all the cameras and Florida humidity, I choose to get airbrush make up done as it worked well with my skin. And 2 weeks before the wedding I went for a wonderful relaxing facial to help start with a clean canvas before my wedding day. The studio is very trendy and well maintained and even includes a facial room. The studio offered a great friendly, relaxing environment and can't want to go back to get my regular haircut and color appointments with them. The pictures I have seen so far on my wedding day are stunning and they were able to cater to a wide range of skin color and hair textures with different backgrounds/ethnicity in my wedding party. The stylists that arrived to the venue were on time and very professional and they were able to complete everyone's look in a timely manner with time to spare before we left for the venue. They helped offer a relaxing environment the day of the wedding as it was very chaotic for me with everything going on and was so happy that hair and makeup was not something I had to stress or worry about. Getting ready with my bridesmaids and mom was very important to me and a precious memory I will never forget. Having stylists to keep everyone calm and on time before heading to the venue was such a great relief. The prices are also great and worth what I paid for. I am very happy that the stylists were top notch qualify for the price I was paying. I highly recommend 210 bridal/Studio. read more
