I've had a phenomenal experience at the studio. I've been training with Ed for 10 months now and I'm beyond thrilled with the results that I've achieved. I had no idea what to expect, I've never stepped foot into a gym before our initial session. I had no idea what this whole thing is going to be all about. There was a sense of intimidation, embarrassment and also some level of shame of how I let myself get to the place where I was back then. All I knew was that I was at a point in my life where I needed to make a change, not for the "aesthetic" or vanity reasons, but for health reasons. I was at 275lb, pre-diabetic, fatty liver & high cholesterol, it was time to grab my life by the horns, make a change and just enjoy the process as much as possible. Ed and I had our initial session, I expressed to him that I was committed and that I am looking for a long'ish term training sessions. Ed was going to have work cut out for him with me. I am beyond thrilled to share with y'all, that as of mid-December, I am now 101lbs lighter and in the best health that I have been in my adult life. I started off this whole journey at 275lbs, I am now down to 174lbs, all in a matter of not even full 10 months of Ed and I working together. What you will gain by training at this place is not only a trainer/coach/mentor- whatever you want to refer to that person, you will also gain a friend. The fact that this is a private space means that you can open up and discuss things with each other that you wouldn't probably talk about in a commercial gym due to the fact that others folks would be overhearing your conversations. As for the studios themselves, they are extremely clean, professional, cozy - maybe that's a weird adjective to use when it comes to describing a gym, they are also located in very, very convenient locations, so commuting to them is a breeze. I've been a client of Studio 16's for over a year now and finding this place has been a godsend for people like me looking to get away from the typical status quo of gyms. Studio 16's unique one on one approach, combined with the fact that they have every piece of equipment one could need (and Nate the owner is always upgrading and updating) and the fact that the place is always clean makes this my favorite place to train in the city. You can tap into the Sonos and play your choice of music, the bathroom there is always stocked and clean and there is always a great vibe. Nate as an owner is extremely hands on, dedicated and professional when it comes to how he runs S16 and the difference shows. He's also an absolute stand up guy and always brings a smile to the place which is always great. I train with Ed Feliciano, whom I've been training with for two years now and highly recommend him. His steadfast and educated approach to wellness and fitness has him make training sustainable and for the long term. He combines education on fitness with recovery, sleep, diet and mental health and just as a strength coach, he's an absolute beast. I've never had a trainer. Frankly, going to the gym has always intimidated me. But from the first consultation call, which was the very next day after I had requested information via the website, I knew it would be a great experience. Nate immediately understood my goals and communication style, and he asked specific questions about my history with working out and what I was looking for in a trainer. I started with my trainer Nick a few days, whose energy and personality has been so motivating especially considering how much of a beginner I am. I'm wiped out by the end of the training sessions, but I feel a sense of accomplishment when I leave the studio. The facilities (I'm at the Hell's Kitchen location) are clean and well-maintained, and as someone who is very self-conscious especially when working out, I love that it's truly private. I'm currently in the middle of my sessions, and I already feel a difference in my strength and stamina. I'm also sleeping better (I'm the worst sleeper) and waking up with more energy. I have been training the past six months with Anthony at Studio 16, and I only have only good things to say about my experience working with him and training at the Studio. I came to Studio 16 after my workouts and gains had plateaued and I wanted to mix things up. I was fortunate to be connected with Anthony, and grateful for the opportunity to train with him. I moved to NYC in April and still wasn't comfortable with getting a gym membership, so I reached out to Tyriek and started training with him in May We started at first with at home workouts, then transitioned to Studio 16 HK later in the year. I don't know what I would have done without this space and training this year. He's not only been a great trainer with helping me get back to being active after falling off training during quarantine, but has also helped me improve some muscular imbalances I've developed from previous injuries. He holds me accountable both in the gym and with my nutrition, something I haven't had before in a trainer. Ty's positive attitude and knowledge of movement has helped me get back to making training fun again. My experience with Studio 16 has been truly remarkable. I received a call back from Nate the very next day after making the request online. He asked about my goals and promised to get me there by pairing me with the right trainer. From beginning to end everything was setup in 2 days and I started with my trainer, Jonathan, a couple of days after signing up. My trainer Jonathan is truly a great trainer. He's Knowledgeable, motivating & informative. Since the very first workout/assessment he asked about my goals and discussed, in detail, with me what I had to do achieve them and promised to get me there if I was willing to do the work. The workouts are focused, challenging and effective. Not to mention the one on one studio experience. I think it really contributes to focusing on the work. At the prime age of 35, I trained with Nate for a year and got into the best shape of my life. I had various trainers for the previous five years, but they never taught me or gave me advice on how to maintain the gains I have made at the gym, or how to improve on my own time. Nate not only explained the purpose of each workout but also helped me manage my shoulder pain and found variations to an exercise to help me with any other pain or discomfort that I had during the year I trained with him. Such a great space for private workouts and personal training. The owner takes COVID-19 quite seriously and ensures that everything is clean and safe. Been going since around July 2020 and it's been a lifesaver. The flexibility of being able to see my trainer early in the morning (pre 5am) to fit into my work schedule automatically puts it above the standard gym, and my trainer Khaya is great, always tweaking how we train to make sure we're focused on what my goals are. I've also been using the meal prep they offer which has made managing what I'm eating super straightforward. A lot of options, they keep well in the fridge, and really great at helping you stay in control. Highly recommend on all fronts. read more

Studio 16 is clean, organized and has the right equipment for all level trainees. It is a prefect gym for private training. I've trained with Nate for over the past three months. I will say this. He's one true professional personal trainer who pays close attention to my exercise technique and correct my forms whenever are needed.
