They both did a fantastic job and were so fun, chatty, and attentive. Ashlyn, the receptionist, was lovely over the phone when we made our appointments and was equally delightful in the salon! She was hanging out and talking with us. For almost the whole time, we had the salon to ourselves which made for a wonderful, private experience. It came highly recommended from a few friends with lovely locks and I felt relaxed the minute I walked in. When I went a few weeks ago, they still required masks but as of today masks are optional for vaccinated individuals. I had a cut and color with the talented Ashley, one of their senior stylists. She truly listened to and gave me what I wanted, a minimal cut and a natural, low-maintenance color! Thank you! She's worth the price tag. If you can't get in to see her, I hear that the other stylists are great too. Your locks will thank you!

Then at 4pm the day before, the owner texted to cancel. Their stylist couldn't come in, and they said no one else could do the style I'd booked. Emergencies happen. But this salon holds clients to a 24-hour cancellation policy, and I got less than 24 hours' notice for an appointment I'd held for six months. The only alternative was a blowout with another stylist, which wasn't the style I'd booked and planned around. I was in the middle of wedding prep and didn't have time to rework my plans. Not a great way to start my wedding weekend. If you're booking for any important date, I'd look elsewhere.

Shelby pretty much saved my hair and made it look pretty again. It was really bad, yellow + orange and she managed to do as close to what I wanted (darker roots and cooler blond ends) without damaging my hair anymore - which is a miracle, let me tell you! So today I feel very happy and grateful that this salon exists. Especially after a lot of FAILS! from other places. She was very cautious with my hair and actually listened when I tried to explain what I wanted ( and didn't want!). The last time I chopped it was about 10 years ago and I ended up regretting it almost instantly. I've gotten my hair cut with Kristen twice and I've loved it both times instantly, which is a first for me. Every time I get my hair cut, I never fully like it until it grows out a bit. I always have a period where I have to get used to it. Or I'll even have to go back because they didn't blend the cut enough. Not with Kristen though! She has given me exactly what I want both times. One was a very long cut. I have very fine, straight hair. I have a lot of it, but several stylists in the past have cut it in a way that makes it look thin and wispy (and not wispy in a good way). I told her this concern, and she knew exactly how to cut it to make it look thicker and gorgeous. The second time was the chopping of 8 inches. The fact that Kristen was cutting it and was the only person that I've fully liked my haircut right after cutting it made me more comfortable about making the chop. In fact, I don't even know if I would have gone through with it if I didn't have such confidence in Kristen's abilities. I brought in a few pictures and told her what I was looking for and that I didn't want it to make my face look round. She was very conscientious about the fact that the hair will "shrink" when it's dry and compensated for that during the cut (something that people in the past have failed to do, which is why I haven't gone short for so long). I have gotten SO many compliments on it, and I am obsessed with my hair (and by obsessed I mean seizing every opportunity to stare at myself in any reflection haha #vain). I'll post pics so you can be the judge. So for my fine, straight hair, Kristen did an amazing job. In my 13 years of getting my hair professionally done, Kristen is by far my favorite because the price was exceptionally reasonable and I fully loved the results. The salon is very clean and cute. They have a little "shop" with a few fashionable things you can purchase. They have a brow bar. They also have airbrush fake tanning services. I can't speak to the brow and airbrush tanning services as I haven't used those. They also use Moroccan Oil products which you can purchase for an exorbitant cost, per usual for salon products.
