I'll admit that none of the kids were particularly excited to start tutoring but what elementary kid would be? After four weeks in, all three of our kids look forward to tutoring days. Clean facility, nice staff, and an owner who knows what she is doing! If your child needs a little help, leave it to Gina and her team to get them where they need to be.

When we got there, Daniel greeted us, and we did both the assessment and planning appointments ( he had us waiting 10 minutes past our appointment time for the planning appointment) with him. We later found out that it wasn't $300-$400 a month for 4 hours a week, but rather $360 a month for 12 months, covering 96 hours, and they run a hard credit check. This means she would be getting 6 months of tutoring for basically $360 bi-weekly, which felt misleading. I'd rather go to a tutoring place that doesn't do a hard credit check and is upfront with their prices. Additionally, Daniel was rude when I tried to discuss my daughter's needs; he would cut me off and talk about himself not even addressing or acknowledging what I just mentioned about my daughter.

After eight weeks of tutoring twice a week, he was able to complete at his grade level. Teachers were engaging and encouraging. They conduct routine conferences to provide updates on student progress. They also have an incentive recognition program for students when they reach milestones. My son enjoyed going to his sessions, most likely because his confidence increased. This site has a great team!

Apart from the programs offered at the center, my teachers offered help in any subject and any assignment that I was struggling with. The encouragement that I have received allowed me to improve my writing skills and push myself to become better at challenging tasks. Sylvan is not only a tutoring center that focuses on academics but also a place that helps me boost my confidence and stay positive about achieving my goals. I have been in their SAT program as a sophomore and currently part of the ACT program as a junior. These programs are the best to prepare a student for exceptional scores on these college tests. Any program that one enrolls in the Sylvan team offers the best help and assistance possible in order to help that student. One hundred percent recommend!

I knew I didn't want to do Kumon because he already had so much regular homework that more at-home work would be impossible. I was impressed from the very start. We went in for a free assessment and free first two sessions (we had a Groupon). Suchita (the owner) was SO nice! She did a thorough assessment, even breaking it into two assessment sessions. She was able to provide a detailed report showing which concepts he understood and which concepts he did not quite have. Suchita created a personalized plan that targeted those weak areas. What I truly appreciated was that she never gave me a hard sell (unlike a lot of tutoring places). She suggested different options, but didn't press a long-term commitment or more expensive options. One of the best things about Mathnasium is that you don't have pre-scheduled times (you don't have to call to cancel or reschedule or race to get there by a certain time)! Since I work and my kids have after school activities, that flexibility was a HUGE bonus! The tutors were all excellent and friendly. My son didn't have a bad experience with any of them and he really liked talking with them because they were "nice and patient." The kids are given stamps for completing worksheets, which they can trade in for prizes, including gift cards. This was highly motivating for my son. After one month, my son's grades on his math tests had improved an entire grade and he definitely felt more confident in his math abilities. I would highly recommend Mathnasium of Gilbert!

My score went up 12 points from my diagnostic (I'm retaking in June because I know I can do better if I re-go over all my homework from class) I think I would suggest taking the class meant for the June LSAT and take the October once you've had enough time to really solidify everything. It's a ton of homework and a lot of time for someone who works full time and goes to school full time. Worth every single penny though! I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to do the homework and go over everything before the next class. If you have more time to spend, I would just take the class meant for the LSAT you are studying for. I looked forward to class most of the time and always felt more confident about the LSAT after leaving class. I was also not nervous going into the test and that peace of mind is worth the money right there. I would highly suggest it if you're serious about the LSAT and serious about getting into law school.

His helpful hints, particularly on eliminating answer choices quickly helped me a lot. My biggest problem was time and I think Dylan did a lot to help that. Private LSAT tutoring is very expensive but if you can afford it I highly recommend doing it. Even if it is just 10 hours, it will make a noticeable difference in your score if you implement what is taught.
