And she praised him, she literally looked at me and ignored me. And a barely even teaches us art. But ms. My son was bullied by another student who also encouraged others to join in. He was pushed, dragged, hit, and even had his shoe taken off and thrown. When we reported this, the response from Vice Principal Jenny Amaya was extremely disappointing. She dismissed the situation by saying my son was "being annoying," which is not an acceptable justification for physical bullying. What made the situation worse is that the vice principal had my child change his statement without my authorization. She essentially coached him on what to say, and the revised statement appeared to minimize what happened and protect the school. This is where everything escalated and became even more concerning. There also appeared to be a conflict of interest, as the student who initiated the bullying was reportedly related to the vice principal. This raises concerns about fairness and whether the situation was handled objectively. At the time, the school also had a new principal who seemed unaware of what was going on, and no meaningful action was taken. I reported the issue to the district, but nothing was done. The lack of accountability and follow-through is very concerning. Overall, this experience left us feeling that the school does not provide a safe or supportive environment for all students. I hope improvements are made so that no other family has to go through a similar situation. Some teachers are great!

I currently send all 3 of my children to this school. The staff has been nothing but respectful,…read morehelpful and caring for all of my children. Each of my kids is greeted with kindness. I don't know what Desi C. is talking about. The gates at the school do not open until 7:30. So if kids need to go to the bathroom they need to go before school gates open OR wait till the gates open and use the STUDENT bathrooms. So 10 mins before the BELL would of been 7:40 and the STUDENT bathrooms would of been open. Gates do not open earlier for any reason due to security issues. There are many supervision aides throughout the school, but they are NOT there to babysit or watch any ONE child. They are there to watch all children as a whole. As far as the office ladies, the ladies that watch children when they are sick, call homes when kids get hurt, those ladies are NOT babysitters. And furthermore children are NOT allowed to sit in the office because there are NO adults in there to watch them. If you are not happy at Moffitt- get a permit and go elsewhere. Moffitt is a great place to get an education. If you need babysitting-go somewhere else. Teachers here are some of the most hardworking and dedicated teachers I have met.

We had already started the process of signing him in to the public school that pertained to our area. We walked in to the main officeof this dreaded public school and it felt like a DMV office. People with a blank stare like they didnt like there job and they made us feel like we were bothering them because we were keeping them from gossiping about their daily live. Full disclosure, im a father who may be a bit overprotective but with public schools being the way they are I wasnt about to leave my son just anywhere. Thankfully, we were blessed by the FISH radio station, because they were offering partial tuition to christian private schools and this one was the closest to our home. The very first day the receptionist, welcomed us in with a friendly smile and offered to show us around!!! Try asking for the tour at a public school and see the faces you get. This NCA school is small and homey and you know the staff understands that children will perform their best in a nurturing environment. You can even participate in the school which leaves you at easy because you feel like the school has nothing to hide......they get it!

What I can say is the school has been nothing but amazing and full of improvements; that is including PTA. All of his teachers ; including the RSP teacher, that worked with him were amazing and were very accommodating. The office staff listens and try there best to be very understanding. What I liked most about every last teacher is, they held him accountable for his actions. His 5th-grade year seemed to be more challenging ranging from playground issues to getting called a racial slur, Etc. The principal and the staff did an amazing job of handling the situation. Lord knows I wanted to leave work and go pick him up. I was able to calm down and trust that the staff had it and she (they) did, Thank you, Mrs. Perez & Mrs. Togia. If there was a concern the staff in the office took care of the situation as soon as they could. The small complaint I had; staff took care of it the next day. In conclusion, I wouldn't have chosen a better school for my son to go too.
