Front of House View - Smooth Stucco Project.
Temi A.

Stucco Boy did an AMAZING smooth stucco job for my property. It loos exactly how I wanted it to. Their prices are very competitive and the crew is efficient and hard-working. I highly recommend them to handle any kind of stucco work.

We hired Builder Boy to re-stucco our home. Jereme and his team were extremely helpful and knowledgeable in helping make the right decisions in keeping the historical yet contemporary look of our Floral Park, Santa Ana ranch house. We couldn't be happier with the outcome! The crew was always on time and got the job done as scheduled. We will definitely be hiring them again for our next project!

After photo. Nice job matching the texture.

Not sure about the "bad experience" reviews, but in my opinion, Kenny and his crew were professional, timely, and did what they said they were going to do.

Ameriside - Laundry room window transformation - our team takes pride in quality installations!

Ameriside

We hired Ameriside to install new siding across the entire front of our two-story house to cover…read morethe ugly existing stucco, and then paint the entire exterior of our home. Their cost was very competitive along with their projected time to finish. The siding team of Mike, Jose and Jerry was outstanding; we received a number of suggestions during the project which improved the overall look of the house with little to no cost increases. The paint team of Israel and Jesus was also outstanding; they were very meticulous in the prep-work and painting the surfaces with minimal impact to plants along the house. We highly recommend Ameriside for Siding and Paint.

When I initially received quotes from various companies I decided to go forth with ameriside as…read moretheir pricing seemed best. Unfortunately this was due to miscommunication as they thought I only wanted to replace 75% of the curb facing siding... not sure why anyone would do that but okay miscommunication happens. Installation: where it was straight shiplap across the front, turned out fine. The window was promised to have a symmetrical thin border across as I was sent photos from the James Hardy website... attached you will see instead it is geometrically cut out to avoid the flashing... could have been made thin and uniform throughout however I was told that it was not possible. Many neighbors have gone through other companies and have the same sized retrofitted window but had the siding all done in the same manner. Mine is the only one that looks like this. Even the installer said "I think it looks cool, we never see it cut like that..." but when it comes to housing clean cut and uniform works for us. I was told later, this couldn't have been known before hand until the old siding and window edges were taken down. However the installer knew it from day 1 and said so to me. I believe that whoever the sales rep is should always be forthcoming with the possibilities of outcomes and what it may look like vs showing examples from the company website yet delivering something else. When I went up on the roof to paint the fresh wood I found multiple spots that were not caulked properly or nailed down. (See attached photos). These were fixed later when they came out to install and fix the remaining portion of siding that I had to pay for as well that I thought was included in the original quote. Again pleased with most of it but a major focal point is the front window which did not come out to expectations of what was originally shown. Anyone can feel free to message me for more pics if needed.

MRI Construction & Remodeling

Our electric cooktop and hood broke many months ago, and we thought that replacing it with a gas…read morecooktop and new hood would be straightforward. It turns out that was not true. One plumber could install a gas line only, another plumber could install a gas line and the gas cooktop but not the hood, and an appliance installation technician could not install the cooktop because he could not cut into the existing granite top. So I found Max of MRI Construction and Remodeling on Yelp, and he said that he could do the work within that original scope -- cooktop, hood, and gas line -- but that we should anticipate a backup plan in case the granite cracked during installation. Because we plan to live in this house for as long as possible, we decided to go through a full kitchen renovation. We had a prior experience with another general contractor who was impossible to get a hold of and who could not ensure the quality of the subcontractors he hired, and interviewed another general contractor who gave us the impression that we would have to engage with suppliers and subcontractors more than seemed feasible. We are happy to say that we just finished our kitchen renovation last week! And it was finished a week earlier than scheduled. We are thankful to Max and his team of subcontractors! We are really happy with the final kitchen, given how much we cook at home. And surprisingly the process was easy despite its size and time of 6 weeks. Max has the strengths and qualities you want for your construction projects: he's incredibly responsive, honest and communicative, and willing and able to troubleshoot issues that come up, as they invariably do, both small and large. He makes recommendations if you ask and gives you options for decisions for which there are too many options. He works with an amazing group of subcontractors who are experts in their craft. There was an exception with one subcontractor but Max was able to get that course-corrected so that the project finished strong. We appreciate his integrity and his willingness to ensure that the project meets your needs and expectations. We are grateful that we found Max on Yelp and for being able to work with him on a kitchen that we love and also within budget!! Thank you, Max and MRI Construction!!

After interviewing and receiving quotes from a number of contractors we chose to work with Max at…read moreMRI. His bid was in line with the scope of work and very detailed and importanly his management experience and the level of communication were important factors in our decision. Communication continued to be excellent and responsive. This was an extensive remodel including taking out old plaster popcorn ceilings and walls and completely redoing a galley kitchen and two bathrooms with updated plumbing, electrical, insulation and mechanical systems. I was especially impressed with the the highly skilled, conscientous and thorough subs for all of the critical trades especially drywall and painting, cabinetry, flooring and finish work, tile, electrical, plumbing plus personnel for some specialty work. The result was a satisfactory finished project and I would use MRI again for a project of this size. I am doing some final DIY on the project (locks, bathroom mirrors, etc) and hope to upload more pix later. Max was very helpful with some of the unforeseen issues, large and small that came along and was patient and flexible managing the trades schedules and also keeping us on task with selecting finishes and accessories. The project ended up taking a couple of more weeks than layed out in the contract timeline due to a couple of critical issues with some beams, asbestos ducts, termite treatment, but was pretty much on track as estimated.
