One of the rudest stores I've ever been in. The only thing I can compare it to would be the shopping scene in Pretty Woman. As the lady said, she's there to help her "Palm Beach clients." Well, I'm glad you have your Palm Beach clients to rely on because I know I will never be a client after being treated so poorly when I was really excited to shop at the store. So many of my Palm Beach friends wear the shoes, but I guess this is how the store prefers it...it was certainly made clear to me after being ignored for quite awhile and then dismissed immediately by the sales lady since I wasn't a Palm Beach client. The customer service provided is top notch. I ordered my first ever needle point loafers and while they're suppose to be true to size, that wasn't the case for me. The customer service was excellent though and they quickly shipped another size to me with complimentary shoe inserts. Unfortunately a half size down was still too large so they sent me another pair right away. Everyone I spoke to was pleasant and the loafers are incredibly comfortable so I would absolutely recommend them to anyone that wants to add something fun and personal to their outfit without sacrificing comfort. read more

Very nice service. Nicolo was fantastic and very patient. He was knowledgeable about the design and sizing. He was also spot on about the delivery time. Email communication was great after ordering the customized shoe about some changes. The show arrived as promised. I adore the shoe and the pair fits very well. I have not walked in them yet but they feel very comfy. I don't understand why this store has bad reviews but I think it's a super cool experience. After purchasing a pair of SW loafers at Neimn Marcus, I decided I wanted a pair shown on their website. Black crest loafers. I read the fine print stating the artisan would use his discretion on the shoes, there might be a comparable design. This was acceptable and I ordered the loafers. What arrived was a sideways crescent moon on the vamp that looked like a smile, there was no crest at all. I returned the shoes, and was contacted stating I could get the shoes I ordered, only if I changed the order to a custom pair. $75.00 more. The shoes were over $500.00 to begin with. A complete scam. I have never ordered an item, only to be told I have to pay more than stated to actually get them. The store has a no refund policy, just store credit. I understood this when shoes ordered. Never imagined I would be ripped off by a supposedly reputable company. Great shoes, but Do Not Order from the Stubbs & Wootten website. read more

Their so-called "bespoke" service is a joke. I've ordered several pair only to be disappointed each time. First, they're not actually "bespoke" in the true sense. They are pre-made shells, using their existing sizes, for which you're allowed to choose the color and fabric of the shell, trimming and monogram/emblem. Second, at the quality control level, they don't appear to verify before shipping that they're sending what you actually ordered. On each of three pair I've ordered I've gotten something different than what I articulated I wanted. Most consistently, meaning on all three pair, I've gotten the wrong color monogram/emblem. On one pair they also used the wrong color trimming, and on another they used the wrong emblem -- not just the wrong color, the wrong emblem! Third, on the service level, they make promises about delivery time that just aren't realistic. For two pair, the turn around time to fix the deficiencies took longer than the original order time. And, there is a fair amount of buck-passing. On the most recent mix-up, that took eight weeks to correct, I ended up being passed around among four people. If my recurring experiences reveal anything, its that these people just don't have it together despite trying to position themselves as a high-end -- and presumably competent -- outfit. read more

I love, love, love these shoes. I have been wearing them since the 80's. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. As a result, I have purchased over 100 pairs of them over the years..many for full price and some on sale. My "some" turned into a lot last week when I ordered 5 Bespoke pairs. They hade a fabulous sale like no other. I don't think they have ever had such a sale. That is why I bought 5 pairs of 9.5M shoes as fast as I could! I can only wear flats now. I have tried on and bought 1,000 of other kind of shoes only to take them back. I order on line always (I am in Newport Beach, California.) No problems ever! Buyer beware! Stubbs and Wooten only gives store credit on returns. I was not told this and when I asked if I needed my card to make a return, they said "oh no, we make returns easy." They easily could have said 'because we only give store credit." This practice is deceptive, and they have lost a long term customer. read more

I made my purchase online and the person who attended me was the manager, very nice. I went to the store to change the shoes and an old woman was the person who took care of me, she is a rude and badly educated person. Apparently she saw that I was Latin and she thought that I did not have money to pay for these shoes, she treated me very badly and at all times was despotic and badly educated. Apparently this lady works for free here, because a person with a salary must understand that the client is everything. read more

I have been buying shoes from SW for over 10 years. I recently ordered a pair online and maybe have worn them 3x. Today I noticed that the velvet was starting to come away from the seam. I called them right away and I was told, I could send them back at my cost, they would have them fixed and then they would send them back at their cost. Sounded fair. They asked for a picture which I obliged. Within 5 minutes I was told their cobbler couldn't fix it and because of the time past (less then a year) they couldn't offer a store credit or a refund. WHAT? $500 shoes worn three times and what is clearly a defect and you can't offer me anything? This is not the customer service I expect from a store on Worth Avenue in West Palm Beach. I will ensure anyone I speak with knows exactly what kind of service these people offer when things go wrong with their products. They have lost a good customer and now an advocate for letting people know they do not support their products. read more

I wore my new Stubbs less than 6 times-each shoe started pealing off the sole next to my big toe. The PB store said "take it to your local cobbler." Unacceptable at this price point. Will be calling corporate. read more
