Can't say enough how glad I was to buy from Stuart Powell in the end. I live in Lexington, and I tried to buy here. But, keep in mind, they have to pay Coach Pope and Coach Stoops for advertising. Apparently, it ain't cheap. Stuart Powell can meet or beat Paul Miller on price. It is worth the drive to Danville to at least compare. I had a fantastic salesperson. Barry Wilson is low pressure, easy going, super helpful, and available. I contacted him on a Sunday outside of work hours with an offer and he was back with me early Monday morning with an answer. He guides you through the process quickly and easily. I can't say enough great things about Barry. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a vehicle. The only part of the process I wasn't entirely satisfied with was closing out the deal with the finance department. Look, I realize that they make great commissions off of the window tinting, extended warranty, etc. But when I say "no", accept that as my answer. I don't need questioning of my decision, I don't need financial advice, and I don't need the pressure when I'm already spending tens of thousands of dollars on a vehicle. That said, they all do this. It just comes at a time when you're already exhausted mentally from making a large financial decision. But, as long as you know that going in, you can be prepared for it. As I said, I still highly recommend the dealership and Barry in particular. I also would suggest you compare the large city versus small town dealership. Paul Miller has a beautiful showroom. Grand piano. Massive video screens. And the coaches. But someone has to pay for all that...namely you. Stuart Powell, on the other hand, has a showroom that looks like something straight out of 1970. This happened in 2025, while under my extended warranty that wasn't worth the paper it was written on... Worst service department and dealership ever, it has to start from the top down... 2020 F-150 ( 24000 miles ) transmission started acting up while under warranty, slipping intermittently, ( no problem THEY SAID ) they didn't have the parts but would order them and get it fixed, because they already knew what the problem was.. A week later I call to check on my truck and was told that they had one more check to do to make sure there was a problem, came back the next day and said " Ford says it's not a problem we can't fix it under warranty". I usually don't share much on Facebook, but I felt compelled to share this. A couple of weeks ago, Amy's Eacape developed a coolant leak. I call Stuart Powell Ford Mazda to get quotes. I explained to the service coordinator that I believed it was a bad radiator. Since, I had Bailey Service center replace a defective water pump and timing belt 2 years ago, the most logic cause of the leak was a crack in the radiator. The service coordinator connected me to parts and got me a quote on the parts ( total labor and parts around $970) I scheduled a tow truck to take to the Ford Dealership and dropped it off. Later that week, I got a call from the service coordinator telling me that the $970 repair bill did not fix the problem. Rather they told me that it was leaking around the water pump. This was another $2020. Having no other options, I authorized that repair. Once it was confirmed that the water pump had been fixed, i asked the service coordinator if radiator was not the cause of the leak, and he started we don't know. That it was my fault since I told him I thought it was the radiator. Now how can a compenent authorized Ford Dealership not due their due diligence and accurately diagnose a simple radiator leak with a simple pressure test. When I asked to speak to the service manager, Bill Harris, explained to him my situation he got defensive. Furthermore, I said that I would pay the entire bill due, but would never come back and share my experience with family and friends on social media. When he heard that, he said that "he was going to work with me, but since I was going to post about it Facebook, he was not going to do nothing. " My response was a don't give a damn, I will pay the entire amount. He then said you owe me $3010 and hung up. A few days later, I asked to speak to Fred Sizemore, the general manger. He was not available at that time so I left a message. Later that day, I went to meet with him and he became very defensive, stating there was nothing to discuss. That my conversation with Bill Harris was inappropriate. I explained to him that I would pay the entire cost, however, this community deserves better and that I would again post about it. He responded that he was part owner of the dealership, no longer needed my business and would post some recorded phone call in retaliation to my post. Amy paided the bill and picked up her car. Now it has a defective ambient air sensor, which is located under the "new radiator " . This is a new issue. I believe it was damaged when they replaced the radiator. Citizens of Danville, consider my experience with Stuart Powell Ford and Fred Sizemore. I will never take anything I own to that place of business. I took my car for a few recalls and they were nice don't get me wrong but I was told I'd have my car back the same day just at the end of the day. I was ok with that, I end up not getting my car until the next evening at 1 and I dropped my car off the morning before at 8. I was very displeased by that. when I got home I noticed I had a deep scratch on my passenger door that was not there before. I am super upset over this and will never go back there. communication is key and I would have appreciated a call letting me know they were running behind instead of calling and them telling me it wouldn't be done until the next day read more

I've dealt with the service department of this dealership twice, and can honestly say from the top on down, this is the worst dealership i've ever dealt with in my life. The first time I brought my car in for a key reprogram, I was initially misled on the key being there from the ordering staff, when it wasn't, which led to a wasted trip, and not as much as a sorry in return. This should have been the first sign this place wasn't going to be fun to deal with. Anyways, I eventually brought my car in to get the key reprogrammed, which after hours of time, wasn't; and was left with the initial key, and the new key (which was left unprogrammed to the ignition) was / is more or less a 300+ dollar lock and unlock button. You'd think a service department that was unable to complete the job would look out, and offer a refund or maybe a discount, but of course they did not. This place is all about taking your money, even if they don't do satisfying / complete work. In my estimation, that's not good business practice. Anyways, I let bygones be bygones, because my car was having an issue related to a recall, and Ford itself recommended bringing it back in to this dealership. I had a bad feeling from the start bringing it back in, based upon my first experience, but ended up bringing it since it's the nearest Ford dealership to me. To make a long story short, I let them know the issues I was having, and was assured by two different staff there that if the car wasn't fixed they'd have a loaner car for me until the issue was fully resolved. Consider me shocked when I got the car back, and part of the problem still persisted. I called back after 5 minutes on the road to let them know the issue was left unresolved (shades of my first experience), only to be told I couldn't bring it back in for a diagnostic check, and that they didn't loan out cars to people who didn't buy a car with their shady dealership. News to me! They had three different people telling me otherwise, and now they're telling me they can't help. This is not the way a healthy business runs / operates. So I end up calling the service department to let them know about my disappointments, and after getting nothing but a "well, I'm sorry", I ask to speak to the service manager - in a non-Karen fashion. This phony excuse for a "southern gentleman" gets on the phone, and tries shaming me for being disappointed with the constant changing narratives, and the poor work / customer service being displayed all the while portraying himself as some perfectly, untainted individual. I turn the tables on him and let him know it's HIM who should feel shame for not getting the job done, and should realize the fake politician act isn't going to work with a street smart guy like myself. I also let him know he should work on improving his department and business. In closing, this "service department" is an utter joke, and you'd be much better off bringing your car to a local mom and pop mechanic who will make sure there's no underlying issues that'll end up inconveniencing you in the long run, and for a fraction of the cost that this overpriced, and pretentious dealership, will no doubt charge you for their "work". The service manager here is a , and he should really go take a business management class before trying to slyly insult and demean customers who are unsatisfied with the expensive, and improper work being done to their car. i paid a deposit on a car on Dec the 3rd. I was told the vehicle would be delivered no later than the end of the Dec but most likely before Christmas. I understand there is a current issue with supply, however, 8 weeks passed and I did not receive one call to update the situation. I had to call multiple times, multiple days in a row to get in touch with the salesman I was working with. The customer service was very bad.I would not recommend the experience to anyone. read more

Absolutely horrible service. Had the vehicle towed to their dealership based upon my understanding that the item was covered under warranty. Found out that F-350 diesel transmission has the same warranty as the Fiesta (not what I was told when I purchased the vehicle at a different dealership). They said it had a broken input shaft and that it wasn't covered. The vehicle is stock except for tires, has 88,000 miles on it, and has only towed utility trailers a total of times. Not sure how the input shaft (rated at 1400 ft/lbs of torque) broke. They quoted me 9 hours of labor to replace the transmission with a new one. I told them "no, but to check on what was causing my leak at the back of the engine." The found it to be the rear main seal leaking. I told them to fix that under my warranty and they said I would have to pay for it if they find it isn't what they said. The cost they quoted was magically 9 hours of labor. After discussing this with two separate people there the service manager finally got on the phone and said that the leak would be covered 100% by the warranty but they were confused about the transmission repair. I told them I didn't want to have them do the repair because I could have it rebuilt for less than they wanted for labor. He mentioned that they had to pull the transmission to do the rear main seal, so I asked him how much to crack the transmission and find the definitive part that broke? He said 7 hours because it is about an hour to remove it and an hour to replace it. So it seems that they are going to get their money for the transmission either way. I told them forget it as they are obviously unethical. Not sure how it was going to be 9 hours to replace the transmission with a new one if it is only an hour to remove it and an hour to install it - does it take 7 hour to uncrate it???? Also, what did the 9 hours from the original quote have to do with cracking the cases once it was removed for a covered repair? They weren't going to crack the cases before so how did they know it was 7 hours? Now that the rear main seal has been fixed I called to arrange getting it towed to the shop that is going to repair the transmission. they told me I owed them 1.5 hours for diagnostic testing on the transmission (they hooked up the computer, and ran a test for 10 minutes to see if there were any rpm readings on the shaft). Horrible dealership, stay away from them and Ford in general (they said the input shaft failure couldn't be a manufacturing issue because it is the only one they have heard of - I worked in engineering in that field for some time and that is pretty much the definition of a manufacturing defect). I took my mothers 20 year old mercury that she bought at Stewart Powell Ford back to them for service. My mother is 70 years old and on a fixed income. They assessed the problem and found the problem to be the fuel pump. They offered to graciously fix it for $1000.00! She couldn't afford that so we had to leave. We had the car in a week earlier and they had replaced her battery for the same issue and charged her $172.00. We took the car to Crab Orchard Auto Parts and they fixed the issue for $301.51! I would think that being a customer of the dealership, being that she bought the car from them, would deserve a lot more customer service and respect! I am totally put off by the treatment that Stewart Powell Ford Service Department gave my mother and I am certain there are other customers who have been treated the same way by them by elevated prices! My husband and I were pretty disappointed with this Ford dealer. I asked for the car to be cleaned before we got there as we drove 2.5 hours to get there and it wasn't. The sales rep added $2k onto the price and offered us $5k less than what our vehicle was worth on KBB. Not to mention their car was over the price on KBB so they should have offered us more for ours. It was a total waste of time and we are quite insulted. In the plus side- the sales rep was kind and there was a kid room. We will not be returning here. They did not make our 2.5 hour trip worth it. read more
