I thought the price was fair given the low mileage (~$10K), and while I could tell there was rust, the dealership had sprayed a black coating on the undercarriage, for what we thought was anti-rust purposes, and lined the bed with a plastic liner. Well, it ran ok for a year, but then started to leak power steering fluid. I took it in to my mechanic and learned it was also leaking brake line fluid. The work to fix the brake system was complicated by the black coating sprayed on the underside because it was tarry and thick like bed-liner coating, which was actually trapping the moisture and making more rust, and the mechanics couldn't just unscrew stuff, had to cut stuff out. Several thousands of dollars later to fix the brake system for safety reasons, I have to take it back to the shop...for air in the power steering line, and now learn that the transmission is also leaking. I am subsequently advised by my honest mechanic that I shouldn't invest more money for repairs because I'd be spending more than what the truck is worth, and that I'd be better off donating it to a charity for a tax write-off, or taking my chances on a trade-in. Clearly this dealership was doing what it could to cover up the rusty state of disrepair this truck was truly in, and got off with as much $ for it as possible by a naive purchaser. Shame on us for our naivety, but shame on them for being underhanded. Buyers beware.

Like a Buy Here Pay Here lot Quality…read more I bought a Jetta TDI from them & within one day I had an EGR code for the emission come on.... now I bought this car when they said it came straight from the factory for its modification, so they "did all necessary services so she's brand new". Day two off the lot, EGR starts to go: mileage drops & heat stops working. Tell me it's unrelated & I might get charged a diagnostic fee because of it.... I tell them this is fine, I know it's emissions related & part of the warranty, but they tell me to diagnose this it'll take 3-5 hours! That being said, under the warranty I'm entitled to a loaner & they tell me no! So I call them out on them & they magically say oh, never mind, we can get you a loaner, but this will only take an hour to diagnose it & we don't give out loaners for hour service jobs.... They lied to me out of the gate, delayed my service (by two weeks) because they didn't have time for a 5 hour diagnose, then had the nerve to ask me after why I waited so long if I was having these issues... If you buy from this dealership check every feature of your car before you drive off the lot, basic heat, power outlet, wiper etc. I wouldn't trust these people to own the issue afterwards, get you in for timely service or give you the warranties owed to you by VW unless you call them out on it!

Received a recall for a defective emergency brake harness plus need a 7500 mile service on a new…read moreChevy Blazer EV RS Made an appointment, which was cancelled after the dealership said they did not have the parts required for the recall... Didn't they know that when an appointment was initially confirmed the first time? ‍ Made a new appointment! Upon arriving ON-Time my Blazer EV RS vehicle sat in the service lobby for an hour before being serviced.... I mean, why bother agreeing to an appointment when it is not going be honored by the dealership? It took approximately an hour for the vehicle to be serviced, which again, involved a recall on the emergency brake harness and tire rotation. I hand washed my blazer the next day, and discovered that the tires had not been rotated. WTF ‍ what a waste of my time.. With a lot of searching, I finally found my service rep's email and sent him a question regarding the procedure for rotating tires. acabrera@jackburford.com No response - was not surprised. And then contacted the general manager via email; jcornelison@jackburford.com No response Now I have zero confidence that the emergency brake harness recall work was actually done. So much for my safety! I will never bring my vehicle to this dealership nor recommend it to anybody and will be posting these comments on other related consumer sites.

Can't schedule and keep appointments for service. I booked an appointment to have my car serviced…read moreweeks in advance, received a text 3 days before asking me to change my time due to double bookings. I changed it to another day/time and then received another text saying that time had already been taken and asking me to change again. All I can say is wow, would I really let you work on my car if you can't even do something as simple as make and keep an appointment. Never had this problem with Dan Cummins in Paris, just take my business back there, sucks to drive from Richmond to Paris but at least they can make appointment's.
