This review is long overdue. Stuart Locklear is hands down the best photographer I've ever worked with -- incredibly talented, down to earth, and effortless to work with. I just had my second session with Stuart and Jackie, and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I'm an attorney, and I always joke that Stuart has saved me a fortune in therapy. There's something about seeing yourself through his lens that reminds you of the most confident, powerful version of yourself. He captures that energy, and carrying that with me has been priceless. I got some head shots, ages ago and absolutely love them! I found about him through a Voice over studio and made an appointment. He had a deal, and I was skeptical at first. But my photos were on point! He was totally professional, the shots were good and he had a make up guy who was so good that I arranged for him to show me how to put on make up on my own. I loved the experience and visited an open house with another photographer friend of mine! I've heard some horrible experiences with photographers and was skeptical, but I have recommended him to everyone I knew when I was acting. And I still recommend him. Why? I recently hired Stuart and his wonderful makeup artist, Jonathan Reisfeld, to take some images for the website I have updated and am relaunching. These images were outdoors -- designed to show me in action -- so they were more complex than a standard headshot. Stuart had to worry about weather and lighting and haul equipment around, which he did graciously. Because of his efficiency, we avoided the rain and got excellent shots that show my professional side as well as the beautiful city where I work (San Francisco). I was on a deadline, so Stuart squeezed me into his busy schedule at the last minute -- but he didn't make the experience rushed or sacrifice quality. Having your picture taken can be kind of nerve wracking -- as can getting your make up done. Stuart and Jonathan are both so professional -- and fun -- that I felt at ease and even enjoyed the experience. I had already referred Stuart to one of my clients and she got a beautiful professional headshot for her LinkedIn profile and other social media needs, so I already knew how he great he is.
