I have been a patient of Stuart Kipper for 13 years. When Kipper wanted to transition to concierge medicine my entire family were his patients. His charges are high and not worth the service and care he gives you. Yes he does spend a lot of time on your visit....but 80% of that time is Kipper talking about himself or better yet his girlfriend. Do not question anything or he will tell you that you need to either go to medical school and get your degree or trust him. He is so busy talking about himself, he really is not listening to you. So many times you tell him something and he just gets it wrong and it is because he just isn't listening closely to you. He was pushing allergy drops and advised my children to try them. The allergy tests were so strange, they listed all sorts of plants and trees I have never heard of. Allergy tests are supposed to be regional. Both test indicated my kids were allergic to dogs and not to cats. Strange since we have always had dogs and both are highly allergic to cats. It made me start to wonder about this company. I hadn't asked too many questions because as I had mentioned above, Kipper doesn't like you to ask questions. I called the company offices. No one picked up the line. The name of the company was not included on the recorded message. I looked the company up. The corporate headquarters were located in Coco Beach, FL. Coco Beach???? I mapped it and it was a high rise luxury condo. I had my daughter tested a second time by an allergist in San Diego. They tested her for all types of regional flora and fauna and as expected she was in fact not allergic to dogs, only cats! The allergist also stressed anyone taking allergy drops must always have an Epi pen with them. I asked Kipper about this and he had insisted were an Epi was not necessary. I have great concern that when confronted with these questions Kipper had no idea where the drops were compounded, where the facility was located and who was running it. These were drops that were going into my children's bodies. They went into the trash instead, I could have have bought them new shoes instead. I have had to try to contact Kipper twice in the last year "on call". Kipper does not have an "on call" answering service which I find very odd for someone charging his fees. There is a recorded message telling you to leave a message. The first time I had to wait until the next day and his response was, "hum, there must be a glitch with our phone, I will have to get that fixed..." well, that's good to know. The second time no response from our very expensive concierge doctor and the response, "hum, there must be a glitch with our phone, I will have to get that fixed." He told me if it was such a big emergency I should have just called 911. I actually was so displeased and concerned with his medical care we transferred half way through the year. We lost what amounts to a nice family vacation but we have found a wonderful, efficient and caring doctor. We also have the piece of mind that our health is in good hands with a professional that truly cares for his patients. read more

I went to see Dr. Kipper after a doctor I'd had for many years didn't seem motivated to help me with being tired all of the time. It turns out that I was on an old-school beta blocker for blood pressure that was all the rage in the 90's (but makes you really tired). So, Dr. K put me on a different medication, and I'm back to normal and I've even lost some weight. I find Dr. K to be personable, down-to-earth and effective. He takes time to get to know you as an individual, and his office and staff are equally warm and friendly. Highly recommend! read more

I was a patient of Dr. Kipper years ago. I had been seeing him for several years. I believed in him and he let me down in a terrible way. He was very distracted by an attractive female intern the last appt. I had with him. After inappropriate discussion on his part outside of the exam room, he indicated that he had good news. My MRI was normal. HOORAY!!! I explained that I'd not had an MRI as of late. He insisted...over & over. I finally explained to him that I COULD NOT have a normal MRI, as I have Multiple Sclerosis. He'd known that for years! The MRI he was viewing was that of a male athlete. In the same visit he prescribed a new medication; Sevilla. He assured me that it was safe and would help with my fatigue. I live alone in Oceanside. I was driving to an event in Del Mar and had a very bad reaction. My heart raced, trembling all over and my eyes were only pupil black...No blue there. I made it to Flower Hill Mall. I could not get through to anyone at Kipper's office via phone. I proceeded to leave several messages on the voice mail of his assistant then and days proceeding. When I finally got through to her days later, she explained that she had only received a few of my urgent messages and someone may have erased the others. My question was "How many urgent messages do you need to receive, prior to responding?" I was told by the assistant and folks at the desk, that Dr. Kipper would not speak to me. "He has an assistant for a reason." I explained that Kipper was no longer my Dr. and that she was a stupid bitch. I later phoned the office in Vista in an attempt to see another physician with whom I was somewhat familiar. The "girls" at the desk advised that there was an agreement to not permit patients to see another Dr. in that Group, should you leave another. Let it be known .I wasn't on the idea of remaining with folks of that caliber, but my serious condition required frequent testing. I have since learned that practice, as well as paying an additional amount for a better seat in their healthcare stadium constitute violations. read more

Deeply disappointed after a few years as a patient and not happy to write this but if you suffer from high cholesterol you may want to read!. Dr. Kipper specializes in internal medicine not neurology as indicated by yelp. High cholesterol and stress let me to this doctor by a regarded referral. I was prescribed statins and experienced aches and pains and extreme fatigue and intense muscle pain 6+ months later that caused me to come in for frequent visits. So after paying an additional fee for access to a supposed higher level of care I find out that Dr. Kipper never suggested critical supplements, especially Ubiquinol (COQ10) and selenium that are essential to take when taking statins which by coincidence alleviates the muscle pain and exhaustion that I was experiencing. Dr. Kipper never once suggested these supplements, he did refer for MRI's and many labs which were irrelevant to the issue. Another problem with my high cholesterol is that a VAP test which is an expanded cholesterol test was never performed so my full lipid profile was never evaluated and unfortunately I recently found out about this test from another practitioner. This lab test is simple for an MD to request and I am apalled that it never was ordered for me, in addition I was also prescribed muscle relaxants and several other prescriptions for issues that could have been identified with proper tests. So while Dr. Kipper is personable and great to communicate with, he is very off the mark and extremely out of date with his protocol which was HMO level protocol. Now this is being addressed with another doctor actually, a DO (osteopath) and we are on track to health without over prescribing. And side note, again Dr. Kipper is personable it is that his protocol is so very outdated. Front office staff are not as competent as one would expect after paying for a higher level of service. Two years is plenty of time to give before moving on. read more

We brought my mother here because of his style of care and availability. I sat with my sister and mother during most of the evaluation and consultation. Dr. Stuart is a caring and concerned practitioner and listens closely to the patient's needs.
