I was looking for a groomer and happened to come up on this business. I took my Yorkshire terrier…read more there in the past and was told he was not well-behaved enough to groom there. They even suggested I look elsewhere. I was told he got too nervous around other dogs. The groomer I have now simply covers him gently or puts him in a crate and covers that space. I think groomers should be prepared to deal with all temperaments.

Our dog has been going to this pet salon for a couple of years and has always been given great…read moregrooming sessions. Apparently, he had an upset stomach and had a loose bowel movement while he was being washed. They called my mother, of which I was with her at the time, and was at the nail salon getting her nails done and a pedicure for me, as I finished up sooner, and she was not done yet and we immediately drove over to pick him up as soon as we got the call. When she got there and went inside, our dog, who is a small Sheltie, was soaking wet. I saw him when she brought him out and he was drenched. We were in her car, not the truck, and had to put a soaking wet dog in the car. More importantly, he seemed very upset and traumatized by the whole experience. We've never seen him like this before. It was as if something horrible happened. It was extremely upsetting for us to see him like that. We rescheduled his appointment for 12 p.m. Saturday so he could be properly groomed. When we returned, the young owner came out, (I was in the car still) my mother explained that my father (after (including myself), felt our dog had been traumatized by what happened. Instead of trying to understand why we were upset, she told my mother that we were no longer allowed at the facility. She walked out, but then went back inside because she wanted to make things right. She apologized for being upset and explained that she knows they would never intentionally hurt our dog. We had trusted them with him for years; we were simply upset and concerned about how he had been returned to us. Even after she apologized and tried to explain where we were coming from, she again told us that we were no longer welcome at their salon. After being loyal customers for years, we were shocked and extremely disappointed by the way the situation was handled. We weren't accusing anyone of intentionally harming our dog. We were concerned pet owners who were upset after picking up our small dog soaking wet and distressed. I and we truly wish the situation had been handled with a little more understanding and compassion.

We took our two year-old Golden Doodle here yesterday for the first time. As nervous dog "parents"…read morewe were of course worried that she would have a positive experience. Previous grooming trips to other groomers were not always positive. She used to go happily but now fights to be left. Something happened somewhere (not here) and we're always watching to make sure she has a positive experience. Judy made us feel comfortable from the very beginning, talking through our concerns and providing advice and guidance. The day of her grooming Judy again listened to our wishes and we left feeling positive and hoping for the best. Picking up our little fur ball a few hours later, she not only looked great, but seemed happy and comfortable. Knowing from past experience that time would tell, we brought her home and observed. She ate and drank, she played and seemed totally comfortable and at ease. She didn't scratch or bother any areas from her grooming, so it seemed the grooming was done very well. We will definitely bring her back here in the future. If you're in the market for a caring and kind groomer for your four-legged friends, I highly recommend you give Judy a call!

This was my 2nd time my mini dachshund has gone here. First time was fine, no problems. This time a…read moreyoung man (did not get his name) took my dog behind the gate & we were talking about what I needed done. A black cat came out from the back area (loose) and came up nose to nose with my dog. My dog did not respond in any negative way but just stood there. The cat lunged at my dog and hissed and tried to claw him (it was in full attack mode). The young man scooped my dog up quickly (thankfully) & held him out of reach. The cat continued to try to get at my dog and the guy unfortunately got the brunt of scratches. A man from the back came out and tried to get the cat under control. My dog was taken to the back to be put in a cage (I assume) to try to get the situation under control. I am not writing this to in any way hurt this business (the grooming part was very good). The young man who held my dog did an outstanding job of protecting him & kept apologizing. My dog did not get hurt but if the cat had gotten to him, I would have ended up in the ER with him. This cat was acting like an angry feral cat. It was not provoked in any way. I am only writing this to hopefully avoid anything like this from happening again. No dog or cat should be loose in a grooming business and again thank you to the young man who protected my dog. He was very nice and apologetic.
