One thing I really like is that this is the only gym I've been to where my car has never been vandalized. At other gyms in Vallejo I've had my windows smashed, but never here. I'm not sure if it's because of the location or because the security guards are always walking the parking lot, but it definitely gives me peace of mind. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the gym is clean, and they've been doing a lot of renovations lately. The equipment is well maintained, and the machines are rarely out of order. My only complaint is that the main weight room is a little small and can get crowded during peak hours. Other than that, it's a great gym, and I'd definitely recommend it.

Ms Alisa tells me that they don't allow us to speak to a managers unless it's something they can't handle. I said well I just asked to speak to one because I figured I would have to go through them to get some insight on how i should move forward about the potential membership there. Then she proceeds to say yeah that's not how that works and I'm only allowed to talk to a manager if she can't help me with the voice of arrogance that was just beyond me. At this point I'm wondering what's with the attitude and arrogance. Then she also proceeds to say I'm the only one there anyway. I couldn't get a word in edgewise because she was so focused being the manager police. I'm also thinking like a 35,000 square foot gym has only one person there. At this point I was completely turned off and said i would I just call back. Top flight Alisa has me totally reconsidering getting membership here if that's the culture of this place. Maybe she thought i was calling with a complaint, idk. However that attitude should've been checked at the door before she got to work.

As small as this gym is, this place packs a punch compared to the other In Shape locations. They always have the lockers pool and gym equipment clean and sanitized. The sauna and steam room is clean. I was informed they were on back order but something as simple as an adjustable bench for the size of an in shape club shouldn't be on back order for months on end. Browns valley closed the freeweight room for 2 weeks for upgrades and when re-open they had 3 more adjustable benches. I'm assuming they get their equipment from the same manufacture. With that being said I do think the gym is decent but having only 2 adjustable for a gym that size with that many members is borderline ridiculous. It's been an ongoing problem for many months probably a year now and the simple "on back order" excuse doesn't seem like a real reason for a gym to not have one of the most important pieces of equipment readily available for its members

The monthly membership fee for both my son and I is $100 per month for 5 different gyms. Out of the 5 in the area, this is our main location. It's right off the freeway, easily accessible and I always have a positive experience when coming here. Pro's are: super friendly and responsive staff at front desk and at the kids club. In fact my son LOVES coming here so much that even on the days I don't feel like working out, he convinces me to come to so he can go to the kids club. The women's locker room and restrooms are very clean and always functioning. When I come here all the cardio equipment is functioning and there are an abundance of machines to choose from. Even on high traffic days I can always find a machine to use. I've seen some of the weight machines needing repairs but not for extended periods of time. Classes look fun but I'm just not there yet in my fitness journey! Lol. Soon tho... My secret indulgence and my favorite part of coming to this gym are the massage chairs though! After a workout I love to decompress in their amazing massage chairs.... They can recline to a certain angle where your legs are elevated and you feel like you're floating in space while you zone out to the massage. I love to drown out the noise with a good classical playlist, slip on my aromatherapy eye pillow and let the stress melt away for half an hour. You do have to reserve the chair in advance through the app, but that's no biggie. Money well spent!

There are a good amount of cardio machines and strength training equipment to use. They also have a pool, sauna, and steam room at this location. Unfortunately, the area of this location has considerably gone down hill over the years. There were a few times that I visited with people who were homeless, mentally ill, and/or substance users posted at the front of the gym. One time, one woman sitting on the ground yelling and cursing at all of the patrons entering or leaving the gym. I also recall that the locker room wasn't as clean and well-maintained as some of the other In-Shape locations I've been at.

Nice facility and staff, but this business is not ADA friendly…read more The final straw was trying to help my disabled wife climb UP a set of concrete stairs (!) to get into the jacuzzi tub. Come on! Any hotel knows that you shouldn't require guests to stair-climb to enter the hot tub. The designers of the Active Wellness Center were too cheap to build a fully in-ground jacuzzi pool. Also... the only way a disabled person could get through the heavy glass doors surrounding the pool and dressing rooms is to have a strong caregiver present. And even then, the wheelchair will smash against the glass doors, which won't stay open for you. And get this! When I cancelled our memberships, they provided only the tiniest box to explain why we were cancelling. I typed "Not Enough Space Here." I fully expected them to email me asking for details. Nope. They never wrote.

Since Parkpoint knows that our mental health is just as important as our physical health they have transformed our lobby in to a tropical paradise that makes it more welcoming and more conducive to socializing with old and new friends. If you are looking for a gym Parkpoint should be on your list.
