This approach to body work is far more effective than Chiropractic, massage or physical therapy. I have been to theee different Rolfers and Aimee is by far the best one. Her style doesn't hurt but somehow gets better results. I see so many people living with back pain or knee pain and they don't realize that they can be fixed because doctors often don't have the same understanding of the body that Rolfers do. I cannot recommend Aimee enough and we are so lucky to have her in Big Bear. Schedule an appointment and let her fix you today. She is very welcoming, she listens to what you say and then she gets to work on fixing your pain and problems in your body.

Aimee's treatment changed my life, there aren't enough words to express how knowledgeable and…read morehelpful she has been. Of all the treatments I have had (endless PT, chiropractic, 2 spinal procedures, etc.), nothing has been as helpful as the 10 sessions with her. It has been several years since her treatment, and I have sustained all the benefits - no back pain, increased flexibility, better gait and posture, as well as tips I continue to use to ward off pain/injury. Also, my big toes continue to stay straight (I was headed for bunion surgery before her treatment). Aimee is extremely well-trained, a respected teacher in this field, and has treated many professional athletes across the country. She has helped other family members and friends in powerful ways as well. Can't say enough good things about her and am grateful for her help.

She was surprisingly strong and was able to apply exactly the deep pressure I was looking for, something I haven't been able to find elsewhere. I will definitely be back soon. 10/10 highly recommend for anyone looking to get a massage.

The sounds my joints make these days are more appropriately found in a haunted house than emanating from my skeletal system. My better half was kind enough to buy a Groupon for a 90 Minute Hot Stone Massage and booked it at 3:30 p.m. on a Thursday. I arrived basically on time, but what none of the previous reviews mention is the business is in the back of a martial arts studio ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/restoring-balance-massage-and-wellness-lake-forest-2?select=F5k39c4pWfPVU_tYIWjd7Q ) which shares the same suite number. This caused some confusion and I even questioned if I was in the right center ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/restoring-balance-massage-and-wellness-lake-forest-2?select=0ozLj5lIAcQEe80lAIf55g ) before calling and being informed the business ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/restoring-balance-massage-and-wellness-lake-forest-2?select=YbPxSCogI-U_2zHTwZCSjw ) is on the backside of the building. The business is conducted out of a room ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/restoring-balance-massage-and-wellness-lake-forest-2?select=Mwl4YbNZmI0zdtexnnjkng ) in the back of the martial art studio. Once my appointment and Groupon were confirmed, I was handed the usual paperwork to fill out and I believe there was a general waiver to sign as well. With the paperwork completed, I was given a few moments of privacy to unclothe and get under the sheets on the table. The massage starts with oil and hot stones being applied to the arms. The heat loosens the muscles which probably makes it easier to apply pressure during the massage. The massage continues on the legs and the masseuse definitely gets deep into the muscle and tissue. The last step before turning over is having the stones on my back (on top of a sheet) for a few minutes. Once I was turned over the massage ends with the shoulders, neck and skull getting a good workout. The masseuse is professional and not very chatty, so if you are looking for some upbeat and talkative masseuse, you should probably look elsewhere. For me, I care about the amount time spent on the massage and if my body feels better when the massage is over. Both of these criteria were met, so I was a pleased with my experience. I thought the music choice was a bit unusual (instrumental piano music), but I actually like the change up from the normal "wave" music. As you can see by the picture of the room, there are no bells and whistles to be found here. If you are looking for a day spa experience, you should probably make an appointment with Burke Williams, all you are getting here is a great massage. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to bask in the euphoria of a massage well given because one of my co-workers decided to not stay home from work and contaminated most of the office (including yours truly) with one of the nasty viruses that is rampaging through California this winter. Rohlinism: "Sharing is caring" doesn't apply to viruses! Here is a hint for everyone: if you are sick, stay the hell home! I guess the real winner in all this is the masseuse, because the virus has retied all the knots she had unraveled during our session, so I guess I will be needing a return visit in the future!
