I understand an outside person does the work but have not even received a phone call letting me know the timeline was inappropriate. I did a lot of online research and even with Prime, the Amazon options were not going to make it inside my last week there. I wanted a WeatherTec mat and saw this ACE had the floor mats, but I didn't see the cargo mat available on ACE's main website. On a hunch I thought, just call and see. Lucky I did because they had it in the warehouse and could order it to be ready three days from my phone call (which was over a weekend). Flo helped me and she was so nice! She even applied my latest email coupon to the order, for 10% off! I got my mat cheaper and faster than Amazon Prime! Go ACE!

The staff is very helpful and friendly, and informed about their products. They carry a little bit of everything, from home goods, to clothes, to automotive, sundries, hardware, food, toys, etc., like the 5-and-10 store of yore. Another store recommended Roses when I was looking for souvenir tee shirts for the Golden Isles. Yes, Roses had them, and a super bargain at $5 each! I bought a few $5 Jekyll tees, some bargains on Matchbox and Jurassic World toys, and some $1.50 striped beach towels I'm going to make into beachy throw pillowcases. I even found a $1 sewing repair kit I needed, and it was a huge bargain compared to the price at JoAnn's (Dollar Tree doesn't even carry these anymore). In addition to Suave and Softsoap products cheaper than Walmart, and isopropyl alcohol cheaper than Walmart or Dollar Tree, they also had 20qt stainless steel stockpots for only $16, an awesome deal! And decent quality flip flops for $4. They are definitely tailored for beach vacation rental house needs, and souvenirs, as well as local living too. As I said, a little bit of everything. Each time I tried to find something I was never asked if I needed help. The store was never busy. Lots of basic stuff. They never had what I needed or if they did I never found it. Ended up going to Lowe's in Brunswick. Didn't want to but I'm old school and grumoy I guess. My wife tells me I should ask for help but if you ignore me when I come in your buisness. I'll just take my buisness somewhere else. Could be a grew little store but the employees lack basic customer service skills.

We were vacationing on Jekyll Island, and the rear camera and light on my wife's iPhone 12 stopped…read moreworking. We realized that there were only two days left on the warranty. We needed to get it repaired immediately to avoid paying out of pocket. She attempted to call the nearest Apple Store in Jacksonville to confirm parts availability before we drove the hour and a half each way, but could only reach the Apple call center. After a periods on hold and being transferred around, they could not confirm that the part was in stock. She then called Simply Mac in St. Simons. She immediately reached someone in the store who confirmed that the part that was most likely needed was in stock. We drove the 30 minutes from Jekyll. After a brief wait while they finished up with other customers, they looked at her phone and confirmed which part was needed and that they did indeed have it in stock. They said that it would be ready in a couple of hours. We took the opportunity to grab lunch down by the pier and walked around a bit. True to their word, they called my phone about an hour and a half after dropping it off to inform us that her phone was ready. Her phone has been working flawlessly for the last few weeks.
