The family drove from 5 hours away to do the work. The Yella Wood had clearly been on another job site since many of the boards had pencil marks, cuts, and even math. Not a real problem, except that many of the boards weren't the right length, and in one case, a 2x10-8 was actually a 2x9.25-7. When I called Coastal, their only solution was for me to bring it back to them. I obviously had it delivered for a reason. They couldn't care. I questioned this business model. The guy still couldn't care. Maybe when the lumber market cycles back down, Coastal will care about customer service, but I'll never know.

David didn't just give me a "maybe"--he grabbed a tape measure, checked the chairs, measured my car, and did the math to make sure we weren't wasting our time. His level of service went way beyond the standard. He helped me find bungee cords and extra tables, tracked down another associate with keys to the outdoor display, and even walked us through the checkout process. To top it all off, he personally helped me load and secure everything into the vehicle. David is easily the friendliest and most professional associate I've encountered. He is a massive asset to this location, and the management should recognize that with a raise, a paid day off, or at the very least, a steak dinner. We had our appointment last week with Jacob. He came out and we had a great three hours. He was…read moreprofessional, and friendly. He measured all the windows including for 4 honeycomb blinds, for large windows, and we discussed options for at least 4-5 other windows requiring other drapery and or hardware needs. He had some fabric samples with him, not much, but we did find and choose drapes for spring loaded curtain rods for another room. We are looking to install in the next couple of months, since we are finishing our home build. He said he has done other homes in Townsend, and everything seemed great. He said they make curtains too if had fabric, and asked me to send him the specs on the fabrics so he could calculate yardage. We sent him the information and he replied telling us that they will not take on our job, since we are too far out for them. This was particularly strange since he knew our location before he came out. I was not expecting this at all. It would have been one thing to say, hey, we don't have the resources to do the large window expanse drapery window (even though he said that wasn't an issue, and even showed us rod samples, and we chose curtain rod sample finishes too) However, we can certainly do the honeycomb windows and the bay windows. But to send an email refusing the whole job saying it was too far? I found this to be very unprofessional.

We ordered our blinds well in advance, and they stored them for us until we arrived in GA, due to relocation. They arrived on time and installed all of the blinds without any issues.
