I was chatting with a neighbor this evening (at Rollingwood Commons) for a few minutes while she waited for the person in her assigned parking space to come back. The car was running so we knew it had to be a delivery driver. When he appeared (with the Strobelli's delivery bag), I casually mentioned that he parked in an assigned spot. His response was "I don't care". I've never been to this restaurant, and it is now likely I won't be going there if this is how their employees represent the company. read more

This is our 4th visit. All other visits were good that's why we kept returning. This visit we should have went to lil Cesar's and spent $9 it would have been much better and wouldn't have spent $50+ We ordered garlic cheese bread, it was horrible it wasn't bread it was very hard crispy pizza crust there wasn't any mozzarella just Parmesan & it wasn't even melted. Then their was the pizza we ordered the large meat lovers it was really bad nothing like we experienced in the past Ingredients were skimpy, barely any sauce and sausage or linguica I'm not sure what it was burnt & hard we couldn't eat it. We ordered the California style Combination for delivery and it was great. We were staying at an Airbnb and not familiar with the area. We literally called three times with different questions - trying to order something for a group. They were so fantastic on the phone and others might have been irritated. They delivered on time - even Beer! The pizza was great but the people on the phone (talked to two) and the delivery person were what really impressed us. No stars. Called for pizza delivery last night--they'd always delivered to my apt complex before--only to be told they 'never' deliver there. I begged to differ. The guy on the phone was incredibly rude and told me that they don't make mistakes like that and that if I had delivery, it was a one off. He was very 'take it or leave it-I don't need your business' sounding. This was very surprising as we have eaten here AND had delivery several times before with no problem whatsoever. He even set the phone down to talk to someone else while I was asking for clarification. Suffice to say, I will NEVER patronize them again, and make sure to tell everyone in my complex about the unprofessional way I was treated. This is a nearby pizza shop, I liked to support them before. Whenever I wanted pizza I always ordered from them. And I always love thincrust Chicago style pizza. I was craving for that, so I visited there website which said web orders are not available and I need to call them to place an order. I called them and ordered a Chicago style thincrust pizza. They asked me if I want small, medium or large. I had a few friends who also love thincrust pizza so I ordered a large. The delivery guy came and I paid him. I made a mistake that I should have checked the pizza before I paid. The delivery guy left, I took the pizza inside and opened the box. It was not a thincrust pizza, just a normal pizza. I immediately called them and the girl who attended my call was very nice to offer me either a 10% off on the next order or the thincrust pizza that I ordered to be delivered without any additional payment ( I paid around $35 for my original order). But she wanted to get an approval from her manager. After talking to her manager she told me that she can't deliver my actual order. I asked her to let me talk to her manager. Her manager took the call, I explained him that I didn't receive what I ordered and I can return the pizza if they deliver me what I really ordered. He said I can order a thincrust pizza again but I need to pay for another pizza even if I return the other pizza which they delivered by their own mistake. So I paid around $35 for their mistake and dumped that pizza and I had to drive to another pizza shop to get a thincrust pizza that we wanted. No more business to this pizza place again. read more

I wish I would have tried Strobellis Pizza sooner! I've been hearing great things about this pizza for quite some time and finally tried it tonight. Cassie helped us and gave us great recommendations. Jesse, the manager, made the pizza with so much love! It looked like it should be in a TV commercial...perfection! The ingredients were super fresh and exactly the right amount of toppings, not too much, not too little. Totally worth the 20 minute drive from our house! Tucked away in a quiet strip mall on Madison Ave in Orangevale is this little pizza joint called Strobelli's. The people are very friendly. The locals obviously spend a lot of time here as I noted by overheard snippets of conversation. The woman at the counter seemed to know everyone's name making it feel like a room full of friends rather than just a bunch of customers. The place is small and often crowded but then the best places usually are. The first time I went in I was looking for something vegetarian for my wife. I explained this and was suggested a Greek Pizza that is not on the menu. It came with crumbled Feta cheese, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, onions with a white sauce on their California crust. My wife loved it. I also ordered a pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and onions that was a big hit with my son as well as myself. These we got to go. The second time we went in we were looking for deep dish pizza. We also wanted to eat out instead of bringing the pizza home. Strobelli's has the most wonderful deep dish. The dough tastes delicious and is not too doughy or too chewy. The sauce is amazing and the toppings are piled high. We did a half and half pizza similar to the other pizzas we ordered last time. But no white sauce for the wife, it was all red sauce. Also, she added artichoke hearts to her side. I swear my taste buds were in food ecstasy. We were told it might be a long wait but it didn't seem very long to us. Either way it was certainly worth waiting for. We plan to come back here. I bought a medium combo, a medium cheese, and a half calzone for over $40. All were mediocre. The service was fast. I ordered over the phone for pickup and the girl on the phone was very nice. At the register she indicated that I should fill out the tip section of the credit receipt. Owners of the restaurant please note, your employees are begging your customers for money, TERRIBLE! Overall, the pizza I would say is Little Caesar's quality at a Round Table price, with slightly worse service because at Little Caesar's they don't beg for tips. read more

Severe disappointment... I went online and read all the reviews and decided after a lot of thought to give them a shot. After all, according to their website, they deliver to Fair Oaks - I happen to live in Fair Oaks. I placed an order online and was told that my dinner would be delivered in 45 minutes to an hour. After 30 minutes, we got a call from them saying they do not deliver to my address. Thanks - jerks. Coulda told me that when I called you half an hour ago and now I have hungry kids who have to wait even longer for a pizza that they worked hard to earn today. Strobelli's is one of my favorite local pizza spots. SUCH good pizza and the employees are so nice! It's a great place to catch the Giants game. It's like Cheers, but with pizza. I have heard many good things about the deep dish but haven't tried it yet. I usually go for a large half veggie half pepperoni and mushroom. They have an XL size pizza which is great for parties. Not a back east kinda Italian grindah! It was full of potential, but it lacked depth with, ummmmm . . . oh yeah - meat. It had ham, salami and pepperoni. A good Italian sub has capicola, Genoa salami, and mortadella - then perhaps some pepperoni. The provolone dominated the sandwich, which was disappointing, and blanked out any seasoning. I like to have shredded iceberg lettuce on it where theirs is flat greens. Okay I can live with that. Okay so how did it taste? Not bad - which is not like saying not good. It could stand a little more seasoning with all the cheese, and a bit more vinegar or dressing flavor. A plus to them - they serve Racer 5 (Bear Republic) on tap! What a good find. Just need to keep their lines clean (the beer tasted fresh to me so this seems okay). It would be great if they could stock a few local craft beers. The local scene in there seems to be a Coors Light crowd so I don't know if they could sell. BUT one never knows! I saw their pizzas, and they look pretty good. So, with all sadness and disappointment I am writing this message. I had been a usual customer there along with a close friend of mine. I had been a usual customer and the only reason I am saying that is I am no longer one due to there horrible customer service. The crew that was working had no sense of respect or audacity to show that we were usual customers. The pizza and wings are not even worth it after what these guys did. We used to love up this way, and pizza was always amazing. Now it's a long drive from Amador County, but we still stop for pizza when up here. We always upsize... So we can have leftovers. My wife and I moved into the area about a year ago and have used them for our go to pizza spot ever since. I always like to support small business when I can and these guys deserve it. I've had sandwiches as well as the pizza and never been disappointed. They have a great thin crust and very fresh toppings. My only suggestion would be to use a sausage out of the casing. I recently tried this place for the first time. I have heard many good things about them and decided I would give them a try. There located in Orangevale at Madison and Main. The inside looks like your typical pizza place with local sports memorabilia, it's fairly small and it feels like a family owned business which I all for supporting. We ordered a large pizza half garlic chicken and half combination for two people. When the pizza came it was a lot larger than expected and looked delicious. The combination was to die for, and the garlic chicken was good as well. The price was right around $20 I believe and was well worth it. It's taken us forever to try this hole-in-the-wall gem of a pizza joint. Drove by it for years before giving it a shot after work one evening. We are so glad we did. It is the best pizza we have ever tried, and we've tried a lot. The sauce is very good, but the crust puts it over the top! The prices aren't cheap, but not outrageous either. Like anything else, you get what you pay for. The cheap decor and bar ambiance isn't nearly enough to take a star away. Can't do it. 5 stars all the way. If you're in the Orangevale area and you want some kick-arse pizza, you can't do any better than Strobelli's! read more

We've only ordered delivery from here, mainly because it's free and it's easy. Plus, I think it's cool that you slide your card with the delivery person instead of giving them your card number over the phone, haha. The first time I ordered here, I had a coupon for the "X-Large Meal Deal". I guess I didn't realize that an extra large pizza is the size of a TABLE. We had leftovers for about a week. We order pizza from here for our office about once a month the pizza is great the price is reasonable. The best part is you can order a pizza that will feed 10 people! The pizza comes on thin crust, in a big square. We generally get the pepperoni because the combo has a tendency to get a bit soggy as left overs and the 1 or two topping ones don't. We learned about it from my son who orders them to be delivered to the high school down the road and he sells slices to his friends. Great place to get your Pizza. Decided to try dining in tonight instead of our usual delivery ... I am so glad we did!! Our server, Gwyn, was awesome! She was so down to earth and just really made us feel at home. The pizza is always a 10 out of 10 but to have such a great server was the cherry on top. She was obviously busy -- taking phone orders, tending the bar, taking to-go orders, and serving other tables.. But she was on top of it. Her coworker, Caleb, picked up the slack when she was busy by checking on us and making sure we were happy. I love a good team! A great experience overall. This is a great, local pizza place that dishes up some tasty pies! Whether we order delivery or come in to the restaurant to eat we always have awesome service and tasty food. The delivery is great and very convenient. Usually get our order within an hour, always hot and fresh and they have a mobile credit card machine making it super convenient because I rarely carry cash! There restaurant is very cozy with three TVs with the game usually going, a bar with about 7 seats and 5-6 tables. We always get seated very quickly and are met with friendly greetings. As I mentioned it is a locally owned business and they always make our family feel welcome. Their California style pizza is thin and delicious with good quality ingredients used. We typically got with the BBQ chicken pizza, but have been know to try the rotating weekly special. They also do a 24 inch pizza that is huge! Cheap beer and daily beer specials are also a great bonus! Definitely recommend checking out when you feel like a good pizza, are entertaining or watching a game. read more

One of the best Pizzas that we have enjoyed in a long long time. We ordered the 14 inch thin crust special with pepperoni mushroom and onion.
