Is Stripes named after the Bill Murray movie? This is a pretty big Stripes along the main drag in Rockport! I think these places are affiliated with Valero, and pump their gas. The gas is always a bit more than the HEB down the street, but they have a convenience store here, and more pumps. This place is pretty gross- the parking lot is always strewn with garbage, and there's always gross things going on in the bathrooms here. I honestly try to avoid this one. They have a bunch of pre-packaged processed foods here. There's some warm food like hotdogs or churros. They sell beer, mostly stuff in cans for the fishermen. Ice isn't a good deal here. The service is pretty aloof around here. No offers to help much of anything except for checking you out. This location is right across the street from the Aransas County Courthouse, so behave yourself. read more

The food is good, the service is incredible, the store is clean, but whoever is in charge of their gas pumps needs to be fired. They rarely work hardly ever have receipt paper in them, and the only reason I repetitively try to go here is because it's the closest one to my house to get gas when I'm cutting the grass. read more

Serviceable convenience store with large selection of convenience items, some hot food, a cool coffee bar, soft drinks, beer, wine, and fuel but dirty bathroom and parking lot. I was only passing through. This stripes had what I came for (candy for a road trip) and a fairly large selection of other kinds of things you expect to find in a convenience store. The clerk was pleasant and friendly as she managed a fair sized line while I was there. The reasons I give three stars are 1) the bathroom had an odor, was dirty, and the urinal was running and needs repair; and 2) the parking lot is nasty, stained with engine fluids and food spills and also had a slight food odor. Inside the store was clean. But entering and exiting I was conscious of not tracking *whatever* into my car. If I lived nearby and they pressure washed the parking lot and kept the bathroom cleaner I'd be a regular customer! read more

They continue to carry a nice variety of products and brands, and I've been impressed with the quality of both the meat and produce departments. The store is clean and the employees are always friendly and helpful. Prices are still a little higher than what you'd find off the island, but that's expected when you're shopping in a coastal community. For the convenience it's worth it. The only thing I really miss are the donut holes they used to carry. They were a favorite treat of mine. Overall, Lowe's Market has done a pretty good job keeping things the same, while bringing a fresh new name to the neighborhood. I'll definitely keep shopping here.

There are medium number of gas pumps and not much parking outside of the pumps. The store itself has the candy, drinks, coffee, snacks, food, etc that quick stops always have in stock.
