Doggo friendly! I was in Corpus for the wknd and I took my 2 puppo doggos. We went for a walk and saw this place. Quaint little place, warm,eclectic vibes. Order your food at the counter and find a seat. It can get a little crowded when the line is long and all seating is taken but not bad enough to make you feel overwhelmed. Coffee? Yes, please! I had a regular coffee and the food was soooo fresh! I had the big breakfast, which was definitely more than I could finish! They were able to full fill my request of egg whites only, which I always appreciated. It took a while to get our coffees, but the place was busy so I understood, no big deal. Ive recently been spending more time in corpus due to visiting my bf and I've been looking for spots with good food and a quiet environment where I can work from home and Lucy's Snackbar was perfect! It was nice weather out so I sat outside and the only issue was the construction across the street, but not overly noisy to where I couldn't enjoy the outside seating. Upon walking in I noticed how peaceful & calm it was and was greeted by the staff. They offer a great menu with bites, coffee, and great lunch options. They're also open later than I thought so I will definitely be going back after 5pm someday. I got avocado toast, a mini charcuterie board, and a matcha iced latte - all three delicious and at a great price. I will say that the bread used for the avocado toast was SO GOOD. I enjoyed this cafe during a visit to the beaches. A few things of note were the prices were particularly high due to Corpus Christi being one of the main attractions during the summer, so it's understandable but it is worth noting - my s/o and I each paid $15 for my taco bar, and him with his breakfast bowl. The service was great as the baristas would listen to our preferences and suggest certain drinks and food over other options. I also enjoyed the environment the cafe offered, with many tables and benches/chairs if you needed to sit for awhile or study. Outside patio as well! read more

This is a great little coffee and snack shop in downtown Corpus. It definitely feels like a neighborhood staple and the coffee is some of the best I've found in town. Vibes are excellent and service is always friendly and welcoming. Really have enjoyed coming here. Don't know where they source all of their bread but it's very good. Coffee is some of the best in town. Iced matchas are good too. Pricey food and snacks, coffee prices are pretty standard. Only downside is some of the workers there act like they hate their existence and are pretty rude. I don't go there anymore if there's one woman working there in particular because I've had two different negative experiences with her. Also, if you're looking for a quick bite, it can really be hit or miss. Some days they're super on top of it, other days it takes them 30-45 minutes to get you your order of Nutella toast. Again, best coffee I've been able to find in town, I've met the owner and she's great, and I live right down the block so sometimes I still chance it. I just moved here and I've walked to this one a couple times since it's near my apartment. The first time I went, the barista was clearly impatient with me and didn't want to deal with me for whatever reason, but I ordered a cappuccino anyways and carried on with my day. The espresso was good. The next time I visited, I ordered a breakfast sandwich and made sure to triple-check the way I needed the eggs fully cooked (I don't like runny eggs and this is a reoccurring problem with restaurants). They reassured me over and over that the eggs would be over-hard, how I like. I was really excited to try it, but when it came out, the eggs were completely over easy and the eggs were runny and messy, all over the box they gave it to me in. They just told me "sorry about that," etc. I had already paid for it, so I ended up taking it home and finishing the cooking process at home in my own frying pan... which is what I was trying to avoid by buying breakfast instead of cooking it, but whatever. The sandwich itself was average, not bad, not excellent. The fact that I had to finish cooking it at home to enjoy it is what irritates me. They just don't seem very nice or accommodating, and I don't understand why they'd make my eggs runny after affirming me so many times that they wouldn't be. read more

Prior to this afternoon, this was my go-to place for study sessions alongside rich, nutty, balanced coffee. My friend and I stopped by today to study and caffeinate. My friend was immediately stopped upon entering. She was carrying a Stanley water thermos. She was snapped at by a gentlemen, who we later learned is the "half-owner." He instructed she take her 'outside food and drink' out of the coffee bar immediately. It was her water. You know, for hydration? We clarified with the baristas afterward if she was permitted to have her water. We told them it's fine if not, but we would be leaving if there was an issue. They said it was fine. While we were there, we saw other patrons of the coffee bar get snipped at. I'm completely understanding of the policy stating no outside food or drink. It would be rude to bring in a competitor's coffee, for example. This instance, however, just felt odd, excessive, and unnecessary. The three stars I am leaving are for the baristas who are always joyful and happy to assist. They also know how to make an excellent cortado. The food always tastes incredibly fresh and comes out relatively quickly. read more

This place was really fun and a total vibe. The workers were very, very nice. Really cozy spot great for studying and chatting with friends. This is one of the great spots of downtown Corpus Christi. They had a great selection of beer and other fun things. I ordered an iced latte with Mexican vanilla. Tasted great, and not too sweet. My wife got a latte with an extra shot of espresso. I worked from here every day on a recent trip so I got try alot of the drinks. Everything I tried was good. The food I didn't try, my husband tried a bowl one day, it was good but a little pricy. Beer, wine and snack selection was good. It's pretty small inside but there is also seating outside. Decent places to sit and work with outlets. They only lose a star because one of the male employees was super loud and vulgar, didn't care who heard him. Came in for a visit on opening day. I liked how their coffee was really simple and very calming. They have some cute artesian décor and a lettered sign on the floor that read, "Wish you were here sorry you're not." Which makes for a nice photo opt of your drink. The barista that helped me was super nice and asked me how my day was going, which was much needed. Although the menu isn't lengthy they had a nice variety of hot and cold beverages, pastries and small delicacies/entrees. Since I was in a bit of a rush I decided to go with a traditional latte sub almond milk. The parking can be a little difficult during busy hours as it's right on Chaparral. A very cute place, the atmosphere was nice and the employees were kind, until it took over an hour for me to finally get a refund because they never brought out my food. I ordered at 11:09am, which is when my bank messaged me that a transaction was done. At 12:35 I decided to get a refund. The cashier said "it will take a while to fry the cauliflower," and that is understandable. I respected that she told me it would take a while, though I underestimated just how long I guess. After a while, She came up and asked if we wanted our avocado toast to come out even though the cauliflower was still cooking for our other entrée, and it was decent. At 11:55 I decided to get another coffee, and to ask about my dish since it was a while already. "It's cooking, I promise!" She stated, I was just relieved that they hadn't forgotten about my dish, it did start getting busy which I can understand, one never knows the staffing issues at a place, and I trusted the food would be good. Well, I guess I'll never know haha. At 12:30 I decided just to get a refund because we had plans to go see a museum and had to drive back home to Austin, no longer had time to wait for the food. At this point I was already in a hungry/frustrated mood. When I asked for a refund, the employee looked for a manager, and discussed with other coworkers where the food I ordered was, "she said she already brought it out." I wish that was the case. I did not WANT to wait 1.5 hours for a taco box, whatever that may be. I just wanted to eat. I'm glad they decided to refund us at all, instead of just stating "they brought it out already" and dismissed us. They were kind enough to refund our entire order, and offered to have our next order on-the-house when we come back to Corpus, thank you to the manager, Matt. I am sure I will have better reviews about this place when I am not in a hunger-rage. It was a very cute coffee shop, and there was a nice market being held on the same street. The worst downtown Corpus Christi dining experience of all places in the area. The staff did not greet me, they just stared and giggled ;amongst themselves when I walked through the door and only said "hi" when I walked up to the counter (I was the only customer when i walked in). While preparing my coffee at the counter my water and napkin was removed from the table where I was planning to sit and eat. There were a couple other customers at that time and if the staff were paying attention they seemed more to make a mockery of me while I was there. When i did receive my basic breakfast plate and took it to a table to sit the cook walked by and laughed as if he had contaminated my food I was eating. He proceeded to walk out the door yelling at someone across the street then stared and laughed at me again when came back inside. I paid over $20 and tipped the staff before receiving anything. I will not return there if the same staff is there. This was just after 9:am on Friday June 13th 2025. If I owned the place i would have fired all the staff and closed the doors until I could hire a staff that made their customers feel welcome to be there. read more

I was in town and was looking for a good place to have breakfast. The Uber driver said Lucy's was on the expensive side and suggested the bakery next door and the executive club. We decided to try Lucy's anyway. The food was good, although the portions are small and for me not worth the price. The women taking the orders however didn't come across as welcoming at all. We decided on taking a seat outside. The women later came out and informed us we would have to get our own food from inside when it's ready. She said this happens when it gets busy. I looked around confused to see what her idea of busy was. I was there on a Monday afternoon. There were not that many people there. Actually a few minutes before she told us this, we saw them bring out the order for the only other people that were seated outside. I found that so odd. If it were busy I would have completely understood. So we had to guess when our order was ready and check with them inside. Nothing. Finally the guy working there brought us our food out. He was very nice and greeted us with a smile. I definitely wouldn't come here again. We got some pastries next door and everyone there was so nice. It was more what I was expecting. read more
