Disappointed that I purchased an annual beach permit at this location for $12 that I did not end up using and they wouldn't let me take it back. Since I'm from out of town, I don't know how it works in Corpus Christi. We ended up going into Padre Island to Malaquite Beach where we paid $10 per vehicle as an entry fee to the park. They wouldn't take my beach permit here so it was like I paid twice and I also paid for the vehicle of some relatives that were traveling with us. This was a big waste of money! Management should really reconsider taking these beach permits back instead of taking money from people from out of town that are not familiar with the requirements of this area. read more

I just love this store! Not living in the area I've never been to one, so we decided to check it out. It has everything you could possibly need and more! Fantastic produce aisle, bakery with on site taqueria, daily, fish monger, cheesemonger. Exceptionally clean and well organized store. Huge parking lot with their own security. Clean bathrooms, wide, isles, and plenty of quart wipes. We ended up getting a couple of really fantastic deals on very special California wines in an outstanding beer and wine section. Outdoor area included more than ten different types of charcoals and many more hardwoods for smoking. Spice aisle had more types of special flavoring that I've ever seen in one place in my life! While staying in the area, we came back three times, in many instances not because we needed anything, but just to explore and check this place out. Prices were very competitive, and I wish I had this market nearby where I lived. Highly recommend that you stop in and check this store out for any of your grocery, outdoor, pharmaceutical, and anything else you can think of needs. read more

I love this place I could walk around this place for hours!!!! I'm trying to get my husband to move from North Carolina so I can be near this HEB!!!! They have everything and anything you could need!!! I tried the homemade corn and flour tortillas and their homemade chips. All awesome And of course their salsa also!!!! we also tried their sushi...... it was good for grocery store sushi but their potstickers flavor wise were awesome. I'll be going back to get some of those to put in our rv freezer before we leave!!!! All workers in the store are super helpful on helping you locate the items that you're looking for!!!! I love HEB Plus stores! They are so well organized and have everything I need. The prepared meals are the latest addition to our shopping. We are in our RV and can easily microwave their healthy meals. They are about $7 and include protein/veggie/carb normally in appropriate serving sizes. read more

I went to this HEB while on vacation, and during Thanksgiving no less, so it was packed! However, they had almost all checkout lanes open so things went very quickly, and they weren't out-of-stock on anything I needed. When I checked out, though, I had both of my kids with me and they were being somewhat . . . tempestuous. I was trying to get out of there in a hurry and left my credit card behind at the terminal. I got halfway back to the hotel before I realized it and immediately headed back. The customer service manager was so great and took down all my information so she could call me if the card got turned in. I thanked her, walked out to the parking lot, and before I even drove away she called me to say my card had been found. So in short I went during an insanely busy time and got out quickly, got everything I needed, and the staff took time to help me find a missing credit card. read more

Ive visited the biggest HEB in san antonio and let me tell you this HEB plus is special and better, from the pizza place to the steamed salmon to the fact that you can mae a pouch of whole sale chocolate covered almonds! Clean and very well stocked and since there is so dense of a population using this store things are very fresh in deli and meat department. Very pleased. 6 out of my 7 recent visits the cashiers do not acknowledge me as they were talking to the baggers instead. These were high school age cashiers. I have done a few surveys stating this fact, seems as if no one is listening to their customers. I want a pleasant experience when I'm spending high prices to feed my family!!! read more

This review is for HEB pharmacy I got Covid driving down to be with my family for Christmas. Urgent care first have me a prescription for a new Covid med that insurance didn't cover and would have cost $647. Omg. Trying to deal with this on top of being so sick ... not fun. Urgent care final changed the prescription to Paxlovid. By the time I got to pharmacy - they were closing and because they just got the paxlovid rx it wasn't going to b available until next day. I was almost crying The lady waiting on me - wish I had gotten her name - took one look at me - went to the back and got the Paxlovid rx filled. Which - by the way cost $zero with insurance .... I was so grateful and was thanking her and she said 'no one should be sick on Christmas'. Her kindness and going above and beyond - after they were supposed to be closed will never be forgotten and always appreciated. She was an older blonde lady - didn't smile a lot - but what an amazing heart! Hope she is appreciated. She is an amazing representative for a great store ! read more

I typically shop another HEB affiliate where they go out of their way to be friendly. I encountered friendly service while looking for rye flour (which they did not have) but checking out, "Sky" and "Destiny" were more interested in their "I'm your best friend" conversation that I was never once acknowledged. We went to HEB this morning to get some items from the bakery and my husband went to the restroom first. He was in the restroom with an employee, Carlos. And he noticed that Carlos went to the restroom and then came out of the restroom and did not wash his hands. So my husband went to Carlos and said, dude you need to go wash your hands especially with Covid and Carlos ignored him. My husband went and looked for a supervisor who said she would tell him to wash his hands. As flippant as Carlos was about this, my guess is that he never washes his hands after he goes to the bathroom into work in a grocery store and not be conscious of handwashing especially during Covid is just truly disgusting. Needless to say, we didn't get any bakery items because I just Kept thinking that Carlos could have been the one who made the donuts today. Yuck read more

Everyone is cheering for a HEB coming to the Metroplex in North TX. I was excited to go. Walked in and it felt dark, dirty, unorganized and understaffed. I was hardly impressed by this HEB Plus. Although the place is huge, they don't have much variety! They lacked very many sandwiches, which was disappointing. They only had three varieties of sandwiches to choose from, two of which were basically the same. Considering that most people go here to buy supplies to hit the beach with, they lacked a good variety of canned beers. I couldn't believe that they didn't have all the different varieties of Lone Star Beer to choose from. The way that this place is laid out is confusing. It just seems that someone randomly pointed at various shelves and aisles to pick out where they should put stuff. It took forever to find the stuff I was looking for. I agree with another Yelper that the sushi here looked disgusting. read more

For an out of towner I always get excited about HEB! I could spend hours here. This HEB was fantastic....rows and rows of amazing things. I assume if all you have is HEB you probably don't get as excited as I do. But the staff was super friendly and they had many varieties of things to help you with menus and drinks. Also had some sample stations and menus. Wish I lived closer and could shop HEB everyday! And this particular store was clean and the staff was great. read more

We had ordered curbside on our way home from Port A on the Sunday before the fourth for the last time of the day and were 16 minutes late. Decided to go in and ask if we could grab our groceries, we know it was late and they were closed at curbside but just figured we'd ask. Robby (I think he was a manager but I'm not sure) went over himself and loaded up our groceries and brought them to us. And when we thanked him for going out of his way to help us, he made sure to tell us that Miranda got our order for us and all he did was push a cart. By no means did he have to bring them and by no means did he have to give credit to someone else. It shows a lot about the standard of this H‑E‑B and the management! It's not a central market, which I pray for daily. But it's got fresher organic produce than Walmart and Sprouts. They have ethnic sections I get Indian curry from and Naan in the deli. The natural chicken by the meat counter is awesome. Way better the the hill brand. Boars head deli is good. But it lacks delicious premade food. The sushi is sooo gross. The front salads and meat are the same recipes for the last 20 years. The fresh fit is crazy expensive i would love a central market for the deli, the produce and the bakery. The bakery uses margarine and the bread at central market doesn't taste like this. read more

Great thing is they have a section up front for all kitchen needs of you are in a condo and need something! Would have given 5 stars, but a rude staff member moved my daughter out of the way while she was bagging our groceries, because there wasn't anyone doing it. The rotisserie chicken salad containers in the deli were only filled about 2/3rds of the way full. Most of the blackberries were molded and still on the shelves. Newly remodeled on the inside. Better selections. Seafood section is good. Not much variety but ample choices They will steam your shrimp too. Be sure to tell them not too much seasoning or you will need to rinse them off when you get home. They have a wonderful wine selection. One of the best I have seen in a grocery store. Some hard to find wines too. Deli is great. Boar's Head meats as well as house brands. Cooking show happens often and samples are given. I have ordered large sheet cakes from the bakery many times in the past and they make them at a very reasonable price. Produce department offers seasonal and regular items. There is a pharmacy too. We use it at least once a month. Great place to one stop shop! read more

This place is unreal. It's like a wal-mart/best buy/whole foods/target hydra. I couldn't believe the size, the scale, the selection, the quality! The prepared foods section was amazing and the produce selection was mind boggling. We were buying supplies for a week on Mustang Island, so it was very nice to find Modelo, Tecate, and Corona sold in cans since glass is not allowed on the beach. We also bought some high-tech beach chairs that everyone in our party admired. Now if HEB only had an air-conditioned parking garage... :) read more

We just got home after grocery shopping with my Australian boyfriend and after many times he gave them his drivers license for cigarettes they always accept it, but for some reason I guess there was a different manager today because he didn't allow him to get the cigs even though his license card had his date of birth and a picture of him on it. I find it disrespectful that they would think that is a fake card just because its an out of the country card. I didnt catch the name but he had black hair. And the woman at the cashier was the first row on the right side of the self checkouts (but they usually call up a manager about his card since its unfamiliar I guess.. As long as it has his picture and DoB thats all that should matter). They should know my boyfriend by now. I guess the guy is new to his job.... He even asked for a passport! Thats a first! So unnecessary. Very very unnecessary. And it was all for my mom anyway. Just because the card is unfamiliar doesnt mean hes not over 18. His picture was on it and so was his DoB and thats all. There are people outside of America that come to grocery stores too... And hes 24 years old. But we got them in the end at a gas station. Just thought i'd put a review here anyway. read more

The "night manager" of Flour Bluff HEB named Yolanda is an inconsiderate stoat who is clearly unconcerned with customer satisfaction. ONE STAR I am moving and need boxes to pack my things. Understandably, I thought HEB would be able to supply leftover cardboard boxes from stocking the shelves. I considerately called two days prior to request the leftover boxes before they were crushed. I was promised they would be waiting for me at 5am with my name on them. When I went to pick them up, they had already been crushed. I was immediately promised the boxes would be waiting for me whenever I needed them. "Ok... Fine. I'll do that since after all I'm getting free packing boxes (or so I thought because I had been told that by HEB twice now)" Anyways, I chose Friday of that week to pick them up. So the Thursday night before, I call at 8pm to request that I would like to pick them up and the girl tells me I need to call back after 10pm to speak to the night manager. "Huh?! Ok... Fine..." So I do call at 10pm and this is where Yolanda or Yoblahba or whatever her name is comes into play. This is where I'm told there will be no boxes saved for me and they don't do that here. So, I ask to speak to someone in the back and she ramrods me with "I'm the manager you need to speak with me". Sadly, I think I was dealing with someone with ego issues who enjoys being rude to formerly loyal customers. I won't be back and I hope you won't either after reading this... Especially to talk to that night manager. read more
