Since I'm from out of town, I don't know how it works in Corpus Christi. We ended up going into Padre Island to Malaquite Beach where we paid $10 per vehicle as an entry fee to the park. They wouldn't take my beach permit here so it was like I paid twice and I also paid for the vehicle of some relatives that were traveling with us. This was a big waste of money! Management should really reconsider taking these beach permits back instead of taking money from people from out of town that are not familiar with the requirements of this area.

They offer gas as well and their bathrooms are really clean. Service was nice to those who I encountered and noticed there's a little eating area which is so nice instead of grabbing a table outside or eating in your car in this Texas heat. This is a great staple here in Portland and excited to see what else the Texan has to offer in the future.

Employees were standing around talking amongst one another. Wasn't even acknowledged. The humidor definitely needed some tender-loving-care. Guess my standards are high from having worked in various other cigar shops. Then I stood in line to check out. Was finally told to check out at the open lane on the other side of the section. My mistake! Thought the lady standing there was a cashier. At least the store seemed clean and well organized and maintained. Shop here at your own risk.

Not that I've heard anything bad about the gas, I just don't buy it here. They carry snacks and things, and you can tell that some are right out of multipacks from maybe Sam's Club or Walmart because they're not labelled for individual sale. LOL I get a kick out of it. Expensive though like any convenience store. Really, really nice people working there though. Sometimes Curly's Food Truck parks here. I watch their FB page to see when they are there.
