This STRIPES is by far the WORST one I've ever been to. 1st of all EVERY time I've been in there, including yesterday they tried to over charge me for beer!!! I told the girl the ADVERTISED price was less than what rang up. She was new, not her fault. But the other girl who was training her tried to argue with me about it!!! And the price was ON THE COOLER!!!!! I wonder how many ppl don't notice and get overcharged??? 2nd. There's always bout 3-4 employees behind the counter but only one working the counter when there's a line if ppl almost to the coolers. 3rd. Store is filthy. And stinky. Bathrooms are also filthy. Before this location opened, I've only heard about and haven't actually been in any Stripes Convenience Stores. I travel HWY 6 between SH 288 and HWY 35 often during work and it's littered with a number of small service stations, most with dirty restrooms. This Stripes has been a welcome surprise since opening for me. They have a wide selection of food items, hot and cold. Everything seems to be reasonably price and they always have the multiple registers manned so there usually isn't much of a wait. The employees are as welcoming and friendly as a Buc-ee's and gas prices are actually better then most. The restrooms are really CLEAN too! My favorite part of this Stripes is the Laredo Taco Company inside, the tacos are very tasty and they have a multitude of hot items to choose from. If you have to drive south down 6 from 288, stop at this Stripes location in Manvel. Whether to fuel up or to grab a bite to eat, you won't be disappointed! read more

This place has really went down hill. It's taco company never has set times. The station staff look like they have been working for three days straight. The pumps never print receipts so you go inside and wait in a 12 person line with one register open. I'll most likely go next door for fuel and food. It's a shame because the ones in corpus are awesome. If I was to analyze the root problems it would be the lack of quality employees, the lack of strong management, and the non existent owners. Pay 1 cent more a gallon and go next door to Big Horn. read more

These folks no longer take care of the place. Printers are always out of paper and bird poop all over pumps/handles. Have went on multiple occasions but just declines in quality each time. read more

Paid for a car wash and the car wash was closed tried to get refund the guy was rude and said it was good for 14 days I told him I didn't want to have to keep up with anything could he just refund the $12 he said where would you lose it your purse!!!! I will never stop there again!!!! read more

Daniel (Cashier) was unnecessarily rude & SUPER sarcastic. The tortillas are always powdery. I've gotten tacos from here like three or four times and they're always wrong. They're always out of stock. Some of there pumps don't work. And I've also purchased a car wash & THEY'RE CAR WASH IS ALWAYS CLOSED!! The guy refused to give me my $12 back. I WILL NEVER GO TO STRIPES AGAIN. They obviously need better employees & better management. read more

Random pumps don't work, and are not tagged out of service. So many pumps were down that two of my cards were locked up for fraud from trying so many times. If I would have had enough gas to make it somewhere else I would have. Employees didn't care or try to help. Wouldn't even go out to bag the out of service pumps. I will not be back and will be sure anyone I talk to won't either. read more

I have seen all kinds of posts about the Stripes located in Manvel while most are negative. I have a very positive post - I went there on Monday to get gas I went into the store and purchased one of their store cards to get the discount on the price of the gas. Then I proceeded to outside to pump my gas - I purchased the card for $30.00 and the pump went to $31.05 before I realized it had gone over the allotted $30.00. I went back inside and spoke to the 2 cashiers - Johnathan and Jordan - they were very polite and we all could not figure out as to why it would allow me to go over. I ended up leaving the store and since I thought it was glitch in their system I left the card and my receipt. I drove the hour to my place of employment, and thought to myself - could I have used my own debit card instead of the card purchased at Stripes - so I checked my bank account and sure enough that is what happened.. So then I was like I just gave away 30 bucks as note I left the card with them. I immediately called the store in hopes they would still have the card - I spoke to a Chris in which confirmed that Johnathan still had the card and they would give it to the manager.. I want to thank these 3 young men - Johnathan, Jordan, and Chris as they could have very well kept the card. I understand it is only $30.00 however they were still very honest and I was able to get the card back...Even with all the problems this store seems to have - they have just earned my life long business for having honest employees! read more

The taco place in there never has food!!! I have been in there around lunch time and they are always out of food. Like they don't want your business. The one time I had to settle for some spicy chicken tacos because that is all they had left and they were disgusting. I see now why those were all that was left.
