There's always bout 3-4 employees behind the counter but only one working the counter when there's a line if ppl almost to the coolers. 3rd. Store is filthy. And stinky. Bathrooms are also filthy. And gas pumps are ALWAYS OUT OF ORDER!!! All those lanes and less than 1\2 work. SCREW STRIPES!! Can't wait till BIGHORN opens!! I just hope they don't go south like STRIPES HAS!! Oh yea. And btw. I travel HWY 6 between SH 288 and HWY 35 often during work and it's littered with a number of small service stations, most with dirty restrooms. This Stripes has been a welcome surprise since opening for me. They have a wide selection of food items, hot and cold. Everything seems to be reasonably price and they always have the multiple registers manned so there usually isn't much of a wait. The employees are as welcoming and friendly as a Buc-ee's and gas prices are actually better then most. The restrooms are really CLEAN too! My favorite part of this Stripes is the Laredo Taco Company inside, the tacos are very tasty and they have a multitude of hot items to choose from. If you have to drive south down 6 from 288, stop at this Stripes location in Manvel. Whether to fuel up or to grab a bite to eat, you won't be disappointed!
