The club is fair…read more The current location is a bit rough, aesthetically. There is a fair amount of trash and other unsightly items lying in plain view, especially in the 2-table room. The club was once just off Sawmill Road in Dublin, and had a more welcoming feel. The current location, near OSU campus, is a step down. That said, visitors should still find plenty of open tables and friendly faces willing to hit with you for a couple hours. If you're in Columbus and you need a decent table, this place will suffice. It would be nice to see the owners spruce it up a little. Here's a good start: Add some artwork. Remove the clutter. Start accepting payment via credit/debit card. Upgrade the robot. Its not very intuitive/user friendly.

Fancyburg park lives up to its name - "fancy."…read more I think it's a great idea to visit these kinds of amenities in the surrounding suburban communities to see what's available. I was surprised to see shuffleboard courts. And, while they were not in use today it looks like they've seen a lot of use in their day. That's a different kind of unique amenity that not a lot of parks have and it's good to know it's here in the event that I might want to participate one day. It appears there is an equipment shed for the games so there must be regular, staffed hours for this activity - would have to look into this more. I noticed what appears to be a large stone construction shelter house. There is a spacious and well-equipped children's playground, with plenty of modern equipment and nice soft landing ground beneath it. A far cry from the asphalt of my childhood. There is also a story walk that has been installed at Fancyburg Park which is a really super cool way to introduce kids to the joys of reading. I'm glad to see that a lot of public spaces are incorporating these kinds of things. It gives families something positive & educational to do together. There are two enormous, sunny, and level Great Lawns in this park. At the time of my visit there was a kids soccer game underway, and lots of parents watching along the sidelines. It felt as if there was a real sense of community going on at this park and leads me to believe that the citizens get a great experience here. Fancyburg is now on my list of great smaller sized community public parks in the greater Columbus metro area.

It was a lot of our first times doing archery and they made it pretty simple. We were also a big group and we each felt like we had an appropriate amount of attention. Everyone also wore masks and hand sanitizer was available for use. There was adequate parking out front. The waiting space was kind of small but there was plenty of room in the range to line up for the targets and hang your possessions. They had various different games for us to play to keep our attention. The price was also very reasonable. I would definitely go again.

The environment and the people that were climbing also had a good vibe; plus good music. Came today and had such a good time challenging myself in all kinds of difficulty levels. Staff was friendly too at check-in! I also loved how clean and well-organized the weight training area was. Bonus: they have the electric climbing wall that you can link to using the mobile app. Can't wait to come back :)

A fantastic bouldering only gym. The gym is a part of the 5 life chain and if you've climbed at the…read moreother gyms before, you do not need to do a separate waiver. The staff here is fantastic. They are super knowledgeable and informative. It has two semi separate bouldering areas. Envision a "J" shape gym. One wall has a long overhang. The other side has a staggered wall. All walltopia walls. I thought the setting was spot on level wise. The gym was exceptionally clean. The carpet material they use is exceptional at trapping the chalk dust. The staff were constantly cleaning up. The other climbers are also on point in terms of politeness! I loved their "happy hour" discounted day pass at $12. Their regular rates are on their website. They have a small training area with one treadmill and other equipment. Their training wall is manual which is so cute! A few areas of improvement. There's no changing or shower area. In the spirit of inclusion, there's one side of the gym with urinals and on side without. The sinks are on the outside of the bathrooms. I think this is fine but folks should know there's no area to shower, wash feet or change except to go into the bathroom stalls. The two brushes that they have are really old and pivoted. Meaning, they are so worn down one side is even missing the brushes. They are also too large to fit into some of the higher holds. In terms of setting, it was solid with great variety - mantles, overhangs, crimps, arretes, traverses, dynamic movements, but I wish that there was a little more creativity. I'm not the strongest climber but I wished their were climbs where I was like "wow" I've never seen that before! Apparently the 5 life setters set a section here every week and they rotate between the gyms so it probably will be the same at the other gyms. It sounds correct as I've visited the other gyms as well. Pro tip. This gym is within walking distance of the Audubon outdoor climbing wall. But they are not associated with each other.
