When I first moved to Southaven. I used to enjoy bowling here. I'm not sure if something happened here within the past 7-8 months but it has changed a lot. I wanted to kick off my birthday/Easter weekend with a competitive game of bowling w/ my s/o. We arrived at 5 pm for our reservation. Checking in was easy (there was no line). When we got to our line- we noticed there weren't any servers coming around. So, I went to the desk to ask about it. I was told there are undergoing renovations so I would need to place orders at the counter (why couldn't they tell us this when we arrived?). When we went to place our order- we asked for a pitcher of beer- they didn't have any (WHAT????) again, not a big deal but WHAT???? lol. Anyways, we ordered bottle beers and I got a Mike's Hard Lemonade. In the past, we would order the nacho platter- which we loved except during our last visit in August 2023, we were served staled chips... YES, They were stale and the server tried some and agreed! We always order the nacho platter, even though, it's two of us and we don't finish it... so we placed an order for the nacho platter (which costs about $25). When they told us our total- I knew they did not give us the correct nachos. The cashier told us "we dont have that" but stated they had a small nacho deluxe that comes with everything the platter has (No, TF it does not!!!) When our beeper went off and my honey went to get our order... I was pissed. The nachos came in some plastic hot dog container with barely any meat or toppings. ATP, I'm irritated and I didn't want to eat it. Around 6pm we noticed some (possibly armed) security guards in orange jackets.... Huh?! Wtf?! By 6:30 pm- the bowling alley was getting quite packed. Usually during the disco bowling, the lights are out except for the neon lights. Well not anymore! It was fully lit! Again, I don't know what has occurred there but damn! I don't like it and it sucks that this is the only place to bowl (as far as I can see) in Southaven!

Kids night out! Had an amazing time at Strike Zone. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a lane to open which was fine, we spent our time playing pool while we waited. There is beer and a little concession stand for food. Not bad! There's also an arcade for smaller kids. The crowd died out about 9ish so it was as crowded but still with a good crowd of people. I'll definitely be back because I lost a game of pool to a 13 year old! Lol

Everything has been updated! New hourly rates, New Arcade, New flooring, new scoring system, new boogie bowl lighting, new snack bar items and so much more! There are 32 lanes. Quarter Mania on Friday! Saturday nights 10 to 1a. Dollar game day is Wednesday 11am to close. Normals rates are per lane per hour. So all you can bowl in the amount of time you purchase Sz now has bowling ramps, bumpers and light weight balls for the littles.

They have other food and drinks so check it out. The atmosphere is great. I felt safe and it's a family friendly environment with people of various backgrounds there just to engage in arcade pinball play, eating and drinks and meeting people. Free play of games until midnight. If you have any problems with the games you just let them know and they will fix it. We rotated between pinball, arcade, shooting games, skee-ball, car racing and air hockey game. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked, I loved the metal wood game inspired decor. A great customer mix. When we first got there it was older crowd and middle agers with some family then as the night progressed families then the younger generation. It's good to see the younger generation coming in and playing the old school games. All in all we had a blast. The staff was amazing. The atmosphere so much fun and the graphics and visuals for the games were great. We will definitely be back. Oh and they do have a couple of dogs that wander around for a bit visiting and hoping to catch a crumb if you drop it but they were friendly and I hardly even noticed them. Just thought I'd mention in case you are afraid of dogs.

Arcade machines of all kinds, dogs, friendly service and good vibes. All you need for a game night!read more

On my baby boy's first birthday we took him here to celebrate. They have modernized things a lot with also keeping that traditional/nostalgic feel. When we first walked in, we were able to select our food items and our ticket level we wanted for the kiddos. We had pizza, a salad bar, cookies, and a personal birthday/smash cake for the birthday boy. The tickets/game card has the option for you to choose minutes or number of tickets. It worked for us to do the number of tickets because it did not limit their time when we wanted to stop and eat and/or for restroom breaks. The kids has an awesome time! They do have a new jump area for the kids as well. Keep in mind that a seperate fee. Things can add up really quickly, but what I did find out is that they have a membership available and you get perks and discounts with it. I will be getting one for my little. The food was really good. We enjoyed all of the pizza. We had cheese, pepperoni, and sausage. The cookies were good as well as the cake. We loved that all of the ingredients at the salad bar was fresh as well. The wings were good. They are oven roasted which I can appreciate as well. Chuck E. Cheese comes out every 30 minutes! He comes to the light up dance floor area to dance and sing with the kids. They also play/sing the Happy Birthday song as well. It felt so special to all of the little ones that were there to celebrate. WE HAD A GREAT TIME!

It has definitely changed a lot over the years, however change isn't a bad thing and was necessary for this franchise. One of the easiest ways to keep kids entertained for a few hours and they're usually super excited to go. A few changes that I particularly enjoy is how they've simplified the way you play/earn tickets. The nostalgia of walking around with a cup of coins and loads of tickets in our hands is missed, but replaced with a card that you load with time or points, tap to play and your tickets are automatically uploaded to this card to cash in for rewards at the end. Definitely helps you keep track of things a lot easier. I have been to this particular location several times now with my niece. We have had a great time each time. There are lots of ride options for a range of ages. The last few times, she didn't get to see Chuck E. come out and interact with the kids, but she wasn't super upset about it either. There were only a few staff this last visit, so no telling when or if he would come out any way. The food is pretty expensive in my opinion, but it didn't take long for them to prepare it and buzz our device letting us know it was ready for pick up. Everything was good except the fries that were a little burnt. Overall, this last time we had a blast and my niece throughly enjoyed herself. This is truly the place "where a kid can be a kid." Until next time...
