Don't bother complaining to the owner either--she's often just as unprofessional as the staff. And then there's the safety issue, gets very out of control with the police often having to respond, the staff often being the antagonists. Only reason they appear to do a decent business is because of their location. -if you want a good meal and a safe, classy place to go, this sure ain't it. If you want to get drunk, rowdy & don't care about the quality of what you eat, this is your place.

This league is much better in regards to genuine people and quality of play. They are the nicest poker players I've ever met. If you live around here, go play! A few people play too many hands because the impression is often that action players are stronger players. The truth is that action players eventually go broke. It's about sitting back, reading opponent tendencies, and picking your spots. This, in turn, allows you to make a move on a big pot at the right time, which will often be effective because you established a tight image. All that said, I had a failed hero call here, but there was a method to that madness. If I win a big pot with king-high, I am Legend. If not, nothing changes, and I had no money at risk. I did, however, overplay top pair on the flop (QJ). I knew it was a mistake but did it anyway. Good practice for a few weeks (hopefully). They play for points for chips. This makes it legal. You can also leave a gratuity. They play often, with a monthly tournament. There is a Player of the Year. This league should make your game stronger, not weaker.

Server was pleasant and initially attentive in drink refills until I had to leave my booth and walk over to the other side of the restaurant where several servers had gathered and were talking and I asked for a tea refill. A couple of the servers, as well as my server, promptly stood up from the table area where they had gathered and offered to refill my drink. My original server, which had the word "Expert" on her red shirt and appeared to be one that trains new employees, did take my glass while I walked back to my booth and she brought the refill quickly to me. The food was at the proper temperature and was very tasteful! At the conclusion of the meal my server delivered the check/bill to my table which totaled $29.08 and I paid with a $50 bill (the only cash I had with me at the time), with the correct change of $20.92 being returned to me. I was a little disappointed in that when the server returned with my change she provided a $20 bill along with $0.92 in change. Anyone want to take a guess if I left the $20 bill for a $29.08 check/bill? Nope, not me. Maybe I'm wrong and just not with the times but does someone typically leave a $20 bill as a tip for a $29.08 meal? Again, restaurant was not busy, there was a bar nearby in the restaurant, shouldn't the server had tried to break up the $20 bill in smaller denominations? I'll probably return in the future but will probably either use a credit card or make sure I have more smaller types of cash currency with me.
