I actually live right down the street so I was biased towards liking this place. But everytime I go in there I feel like the guy behind the counter is looking to fight me. Weird stares, weird comments. It's not welcoming at all. He's an older white guy with a hat and I legit won't go back just because of that dude. And I wanted to love this place. Strictly Vape is a new guy on the street, that sells Vape related products. You can go in and find a variety of equipment, from your basic ego starter kits all the way up to mechanical mods. They have tons of juices to choose from, and have a tasting station to try the various types of juices. The staff is very friendly and informative, no question is a bad question to these guys. Most of the patrons that go there are also very knowledgeable and will gladly help those who aren't as advanced as they are. Kindly ask for a build on one of you rebuildable atomizers and someone is sure to help you out. And to teach about the nuances of advanced vaping. In the back of the shop there is a lounge area, with a fully stocked fridge with various sodas and energy drinks. You can also pick up a controller and play some PS4, while you chill and vape! The first time we came in here, the guy behind the counter was cool and informative and nice even though we weren't buying. We came in tonight, there was a different but still cool and informative guy. He opened the box on a vape tank I was buying to show me a small gold attachment and remind me not to lose it. He closed the box, I bought it, and took it home. I went directly home, opened the box, the special attachment was gone, and when I called back to ask what had happened, the guy said he wasn't going to help me because his boss would charge him for the mistake. It sucks because this place is so cool and it's so close to where we live but we won't be going back. read more

I was told that this place was one I should visit since I'm kind of a snob for premium juices. I heard they had a "good selection" of premiums. After making an hour drive there I wasn't disappointed. ALL they sell is premium which is awesome because I'm not a fan of the store lines. They usually taste like crap. I've never been to a shop that sold as many premium lines as these guys. The entire store is filled with many of the flavors I've been seeing online but hoping to find a brick and mortar to sample them at. I really am glad I made the 2 hour round trip drive there - not only did they have a unique flavor I was sure I wouldn't find in ANY store in Chicagoland, I ended up getting a bunch of new juices that nobody else seems to sell. This is by far the best vape shop I've been to. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. It doesn't matter if you're a newbie- you'll be treated the same as the pros that come in. From start to finish I had an excellent experience at Strictly Vape, unsure of the spelling but (Aaron/Erin) was extremely helpful and I had initially mistaken him as a manager when discussing product options and pricing given his off hand knowledge. (Very reasonable by the way) I explained my understanding of vaping, my preferences, and my price limitations, and right away he was on it. Finding multiple options for me and catering to my preferences quickly with a no rush attitude, nor did he try to up sell me on a bunch of useless junk like many places I've been to in the past. In less then 10 minutes I had a full setup ready to go, he kindly offered to show me how everything worked and I'm glad I took him up on it or odds are I would've broken my new vape in minutes by the time I got home and started using it. While explaining he made sure I understood the "how" and "why" to everything he was doing and at no point made me feel like I was dumb or uneducated about vaping which most places I've been to usually do, there's always the one "omniscient vape god" who belittles you or makes you feel as though you're in 4th grade for not knowing everything about vapes; But I digress. This is my go to shop! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and are very willing to help you out with whatever you need. The juice selection is top notch( try boosted). They have pretty much all the top bangers in the vape game right now along with great clones and starter kits. The mood is super chill and friendly. Jay and Sam are mainly the peps I go to. They are the best! Great to walk in & say "I'm looking for this type of flavour" & after your first visit, the staff seems to make a mental-note of what kind of juice you like. The store participates in a reward program -- so be sure to ask about that as you can get all sorts of discounts from points earned through the program. AWESOME selection of e-juices & products which makes it a perfect shop for beginners & hard-core drippers. Prices on hardware tend to be a bit higher than online shops, but keep in mind, you are supporting a LOCAL BUSINESS when you buy from the shop -- not some wholesale retailer online who likely gets kickbacks from the brand name they're selling -- so take that into consideration before complaining about it to them. Also, I've NEVER gotten a fake piece of hardware or a fake pack of coils from Strictly Vape EVER -- unlike some other local vape stores. You take that risk of receiving counterfeit coils & hardware even further when you buy online from eBay sellers, so shop local & help a small business owner! I purchased a sub tank from a different shop pretty far from Strictly vape. I threw it on at the other shop everything was fine and I was off to see my family. Long story short the tank completely leaked it in my cup holder and I didn't know why. I called up strictly vape and the manager Jay said come on in and we can figure it out. Jay went above and beyond and took plenty of time to troubleshoot a tank that I didn't even buy at his store. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone that is beginning to vape or someone who is very experienced. Everyone in the shop is highly knowledgeable and very friendly. The staff is nice and the selection is good. However the pricing is far from fair. Dealer cost on Kangertech Cupti is $43 per piece. Online they go for as low as $45 to the public. In this shop they start at $69.99. The juice selection is great however the cost is almost $1 per ML. If your a heavy sub-ohm user on a dripper you will be vapping a quarter on every big hit you do. The average tank user goes through 10-15ml a day, thats $10-15 per day. It would be cheaper to go back to smoking! They say theres alot more overhead with a brick and motar but 60% markup is just pure greed. I asked about a discount or any price match of any kind and was denied. Painful since the last mod I bought from them died within 2 months as I explained to them. I've spent over $300 here and will just order online from now on. read more

Went in to buy parts for a vape...was going well until you check out the price afterwards. I understand that there is profit, but then there is price gouging. When I looked for the same parts on Ebay/Amazon I saw that they had marked up 2x the market value. I can understand needing to make a profit, but that's just plain disrespectful at that level. To top it off I went in to return the product (and even made a consolation to buy a juice off of them because I understand the struggles that a small business can face) but was told that all sales are final...this a few hours after the purchase. Mind you there are no signs that say all sales are final nor do they tell you all sales are final, nor is it on their receipts. The manager (or owner, I'm not certain) eventually caved in after throwing out an illogical and very rude argument ("What is this world coming to. You need a sign to tell you coffee is hot, etc.") and me explaining this is simply a matter of good business...this is near expected at other retail stores. I would have ate the purchase if it had been $10-30 above market price. 2 stars because they were nice enough to give the money back but I think they owe it to their customers to be a little bit more reasonable with their prices and a little more straightforward with their policies. If they were to change these, I'd come back. Unless this juice that I bought is beyond flame, this will likely be my last purchase. read more
