This is a wonderful practice with excellent doctors who truly care about the welfare of your child, and I highly, highly recommend them to anyone searching for a pediatrician in the NKY area. They are associated with St. Elizabeth Edgewood and Children's Hospital in Cincinnati. Dr. Cahill saw us through the birth of our first and second child, through illnesses, injuries, and check-ups. She was never rushed with us, we always felt we could ask as many questions as necessary and take up as much of her time as we needed. She was calming when my wife was stressed, filled with wonderful advice for a new mother, and was accepting (though not supportive) of our alternative vaccination schedule. I feel she truly got to know my children. Dr. Cahill is an attentive and knowledgeable doctor, good with children and parents alike, and we haven't been able to find her equal yet. We highly recommend her, as well as the Pediatric Partners of Northern Kentucky.

This is a wonderful practice with excellent doctors who truly care about the welfare of your child, and I highly, highly recommend them to anyone searching for a pediatrician in the NKY area. They are associated with St. Elizabeth Edgewood and Children's Hospital in Cincinnati. This is a three-doctor practice, and each doctor is personable and knowledgeable, but they each have a very different style and personality, and so I think the practice could appeal to many different types of parents (and varied parenting styles). We specifically saw Dr. Cahill, who saw us through the birth of our first and second child, through illnesses, injuries, and check-ups. In addition, the staff is warm and affectionate with the children, they are very good about getting sick and/or injured children in same-day without appointments (call ahead to avoid an additional fee and longer wait-time), and they have an after-hours answering service where you can call and leave a message if you have a serious health concern, and the doctor-on-call will get back to you within an hour. My wife used this service several times as a nervous new mother, and no matter which doctor was on-call, they always responded promptly, were extremely helpful, and never made her feel that she was putting them out or being silly by calling after hours. My ONLY complaint is that, because they are so good about seeing sick children same-day, because they do make regular rounds at the hospital, and because they don't rush through appointments but talk through parental concerns, the wait to see the doctor was always very long. I understand why it is long, but I feel it does deserve mention. My wife always tried to get the first appointment of the day to avoid the wait, but even so, we often had to wait longer than we expected to see a doctor. I did not deduct a star for this because, frankly, I feel the service and care my children received was worth the wait.

Dr. Brown has been the pediatrician for our four daughters ever since we moved to Cincinnati. And…read moreshe's been wonderful! She's very professional, but not in that stuck-up "I'm-a-doctor-and-you're-not-so-that-makes-me-better-than-you" sort of way. She's professional in that kind of "I'm a kid's doctor that really cares about patients" sort of way. The office takes up a small, brick building. The waiting room is nice and quaint, and her staff is great. Dr. Brown herself has always been wonderful with our kids. Even though they've gotten to the age where she only sees them during their yearly check-ups, she always remembers them (or at least does a great job acting as if she remembers them) and is always very engaged and speaks with them and us equally. She always explains thing to my wife and I in a way that makes things easy to understand (not an easy task for a doctor, I'm sure). She has great bedside manner and knows how to relate to the kids. Two great things that I want share. When one of our daughters had infected lymph nodes and had to have surgery (at just two-years-old) Dr. Brown was very supportive and stayed in contact with us and the doctors at the hospital (Cincinnati Children's...another great place)making sure we were getting all the information we needed, and keeping us up to date on her progress. And a different time when another one of our daughters had some blood work done, about an hour later Dr. Brown herself called and told us that there were some things in the blood work that she was a bit concerned with and said she wanted us to take her over to Children's to get some additional work done just to make sure there was nothing seriously wrong. She had already called the hospital and when we got there they were already waiting for us. All because Dr. Brown made the effort to call and make sure we were well taken care of. Only two things that I would say are a bit on the negative side. Because of her great reputation she is always very busy. Which results in long waits. If you have an appointment at 10:00, chances are the doctor isn't going to be able to see you until at least an hour afterwards (sometimes it's almost two hours). The other negative was an insurance issue. A few months back I lost my job which meant I lost my insurance. Because of that we had to put our girls on Medicaid, which Dr. Brown doesn't accept. That was kind of a bummer. But, got a new job with new insurance (actually same carrier as my old job) so that's good. Dr. Brown is great with kids, great with parents, and is a really great doctor. I trust her completely with the well-being and health of my girls. Mahalo, and enjoy.

The whole practice at Pediatricians of Hyde Park is great- the building (now 3666 Paxton) is nice and new, with plenty of exam rooms that each have fun, kid-oriented wallpaper. We always get a quick phone response, and it is never a problem to get an appointment with one of the doctors in the practice if we need them. She's empathetic, accessible, and helpful as well as being a great doctor. While the building in which she practices isn't particularly new or shiny, and the nurses there have sometimes varied in quality, her obvious skill and happy bedside manner more than make up for it. We've never had a misdiagnosis from her, and I suspect one reason is because she takes the time to sit and listen to the history of a particular complaint rather than deciding on a diagnosis apriori. I've also appreciated how quick she is to respond when I've called in for her advice. This has saved us a trip to the doctor, as well as sent us to the ER when it was necessary. We love Dr. D!
