Sometimes the front office staff and or nurses are having bad days, but my Dr, Kay Johnson is always consistent with me. She listens and never has one foot out the door. On occasion I have been a little concerned with the lack of a thorough exam (such as listening to my heart) but overall i've received excellent care whether sick or routine visit. The building itself includes a lab, orthopedist and some other specialists so it is essentially a one stop shop. It is always clean and well organized. There is a large parking lot, but getting in and out can be a little tough on busy Montgomery Rd. Added bonus, they now have a nice online portal where you can communicate, have virtual visits, and view bloodwork or invoices.

I had to schedule the appt through central scheduling as opposed to speaking to the office itself. They were nice enough to put me on a cancelation list and I was contacted through my UC health online quite promptly with a sooner opening. When I arrived I was really impressed by the front office staff who went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. As I was the first appt of the afternoon, I was called back right away. I checked in with a nurse as is standard and was then moved to a consultation room to talk with the Dr. When she came in it seemed she had done a decent job of reviewing my chart ahead of time. She took quite a bit of time to speak with me, never making me feel rushed or shorted and always making sure I had no further questions. My issue with this visit first of all was this Dr has a VERY strong opinion on things, some of which are very incorrect. She told me I should've grown out of my PCOS by now (which is very medically incorrect and not a thing that happens). She also recommended an IUD that would make PCOS worse not better, and with no pain management or sedation for placement which is highly disturbing. Lastly, I was later charged a TON more for the visit due to time (beware UC is really bad about this now) and she ran costly tests without my permission that were unnecessary. While it seemed like the customer service here was great, the medical things left me feeling quite angry. Cannot recommend.

Crescent Women's was my version of "Cheers" - where I could call and say "It's Marti..." and have every assurance that my needs would be handled with kindness, compassion & humor, if warranted. The only two times I was referred to a different practitioner's office was 1)when I was pregnant with our son & very high-risk (The Seton Center & Good Samaritan high-risk & NICU wards are STILL the best of the best!). 2) a fertility specialist who was as shocked as we were to learn that I was spontaneously pregnant. Our son is now 15, has my mouth & 'tude and we repeatedly remind ourselves that he's a miracle. He's also a 15 YO male - ewww! Previously he was told by another Middletown doctor that he needed a psychiatric exam. Dr. Wourms listens, examines, and resolves the problems. Although I moved from Middletown I still drive there for his care. He is the best at listening, diagnosing, and treating, His staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. There is very little turnover in staff which tells me he is a good employer as well as a terrific doctor.

They don't really explain much other than giving a vague answer. Left and went to another dr at another practice after 3 years as a patient. Just couldn't take the lack of care when I had legitimate concerns. New dr is fantastic, spent a whole 1.5 hours with me. Felt cared about. Sadly, I find that I have had high LDL cholesterol and that was reading old practice blood work from before I left. Never was told, along with a few other diagnosis that were not conveyed. Which quite frankly is very disturbing.

I know the reason is because of a girl that was my friend at least I thought it was my friend for a few weeks when I found out was a stone cold drug addict. I had to call the police and my parents along with my dad's arm, security officer friend to remove her from my home and while we were getting along while I was taking my medication. A picture of my pill bottle from behind me so I couldn't see which this ex friend had admitted over text message so Christy fire me as a patient and tapers me down off of 3 mg of Klonopin that I have been taking for at least the last 3 to 4 years and yes, I was a regular patient for a minute there I had several sudden deaths family, which I needed slightly refills for then from there and now for a very long time up until she fired me never asked again. She even started to get to the mad at me when I would get a recommendation from another doctor which you can get a recommendation from a darn commercial telling you to ask your doctor if this medication is right for and she would get mad and say I was seeking out help from other doctors and hated the fact that I was just asking a simple medical question or tapering off of 3 mg of Klonopin in 28 days is her plan. I am midway through that. And I am having severe withdrawal symptoms. I talk to my pharmacist. The pharmacist said I need to talk to my doctor now the prescribing doctor. Which is kristie Yakura and her response was that if I asked her for another, which please note I have not asked for any refills yet on this prescription because I was only about three weeks in as of now, but she said if I ask her about another refill on the prescription that she was going to have charges filed on me for menacing the Doctor Who put me on this medication and I am having complications with my taper pretty much told me that she is going to file charges on me not pretty much did straight up say she was going to file charges on me if I ask for help from her again this woman has gone downhill. Her eyes are all sunk into her head, an acquaintance of mine, left her practice because that she couldn't even remember the medication she was on several times and she even overdosed me. Luckily, I caught it at the pharmacy but overdosed me on a antidepressant actually these messages over the last few months of problems I've been having with her to pharmacist and other medical professionals, and they all say the same thing sometimes even the professionals start dipping into the sauce a little bit what she's doing to me is completely inhumane. I will literally have these fits or I will just fish flop on my bed a few times restless leg syndrome all day long to a point for my. It has a constant Charlie horse and in the email I even asked her if whatever issue she has with me which I still can't figure out because I get monthly drug tests, which I have passed everyone random drug tests. I have passed everyone. Random pill counts. I have passed everyone. I don't know what more to do here. I think I'm going to have to file a complaint to the border health. I can attach the photos of her threatening the menacing charge on me, which I told her was extremely unprofessional, and I can bite right back in so many words so please pray that my next psychiatrist that I have which is a lot younger of a doctor but still enough experience does a lot better job than threatening a patient that is going through nasty I hope people can respond to this. Never go to the psychiatrist. I am having to use money out of my own pocket. To take action to make sure that no medical patient is ever treated this way by this PRN again. Also in this message. Once asked her to slow down my taper until now this woman needs to have her medical license taken away.
