I have an occupational background within the health and wellness community. I've experienced…read moremultiple behavioral institutes, psychiatrists, and therapists via work and personal health. With that being said, it's still easy for me to say, without a doubt, The Cincinnati Anxiety Center is by far the best behavioral health group I've ever come across. In my opinion, The Cincinnati Anxiety Center offers the most innovative and trustworthy therapy avaiable for mental health across the board, for adults and children alike. Truly a place that goes above and beyond your stereotypical therapy to bring you and/or your loved ones a personalized plan. A plan that communicates trust, care and hope. The Cincinnati Anxiety Center is also multifaceted based on their client's needs. They utilize only the best and clinically approved, state-of-the-art technology. And I could probably write a book about evening they have to offer, but go ahead and just look them up online to find out all of their services. Mostly, for me, they care. Not a marketing "we care about you," but care as a person who understands your pain. For me, even after missing appointments, I was never shamed. Never has my therapist given up on me. I've even been given a house call and meeting up outside their office, upon my approval, after having difficulty making appointments. They are there for YOU. One personal reflection I remember... It was a rough day. I only wanted to go to bed, but I when I got to my appointment, my therapist held out a nitendo switch controller and said "Let's see those Fifa skills." I have no gaming skills, so I didn't fare well, but I laughed. I mean really laughed! And it was the right medicine. I laughed more than I had for weeks. The Cincinnati Anxiety Center is superior not only because of their generous therapeutic options, great results and are an amazing group of people, but also it's the small things. Things like noticing when you just need to take a break and laugh.

EXAMPLE BILL $395 CO-PAY $45 BALANCE $350 PLAN AGREEMENT $325 PLAN PAID $25 so doctor eats $325 Dr. Shapiro is PRIVATE and he is ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY THE BEST TO HAVE ON YOUR SIDE AND HAVE YOUR BACK, you pay for what you get, my son's life was not worth short cutting and being cheap, Dr. Shapiro has the right to pick and chose who he deals with everyone out there has the right to decide where they want to go, but every penny I spent I would have gladly paid twice as much insurance or not this is our doctor for life, I'll eat peanut and crackers before I switch doctors. But I was a young girl getting bullied by a system had no support raising a son on her own. Dr Shapiro changed our world and 30 yrs later still has our back. Options and choices TERRI K

That was the only "care" I received -- no prescription, no real assistance. My appointment was at 11 a.m., and I had to wait 30 minutes for the doctor. The staff were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. When I called later, they claimed they couldn't understand me and simply hung up. This experience was unacceptable. Asking those kinds of questions without providing any actual help is not only inappropriate but also shows a complete lack of professionalism and basic respect for patients. If someone truly wants to end their life, they are unlikely to answer such questions honestly. Asking every patient these same questions in this way does not feel helpful or effective. In many cases, appropriate treatment, including antidepressants, can actually help people much more. Honestly, this was one of the least helpful experiences I've had in a medical setting in the United States. I came for help, but instead felt dismissed and misunderstood.

Like the other mental health facilities in…read morearea they've jumped on the Medicaid bandwagon, making it difficult to leave once admitted so they can bill, bill, without providing much in way of care, mostly warehousing patients. Little to no compassion, defensive, uncommunicative staff who are often found simply sitting. Other private pay services may be better but have no experience so can't evaluate. On plus side, facilities appear pleasant and visiting hours liberal. Be eternally grateful if neither you nor your family have no need for mental health services; the state of care is an absolute crime in this country

I then attended 3…read moresessions and by the 4th session was advised that the counselor I was seeing was not approved by my insurance (Anthem) and I would have to pay out of pocket for my visits even after I paid my co-pays. Absolutely horrible office staff that would screw up so badly and cost me way more than I should have paid. Do not recommend!

If you don't understand "the squeaky wheel" scenario remember, those that are treated poorly tend to vent the most. Those that find help in the service tend to stay quite. To be exact, I've never seen Dr Vivian. Would not know him from Adam if we passed each other on street today. But in my search for a new provider I have passed through his office and the system he has in place to be seen. Here's the deal. I could go on for some time about my brush with his staff. Here's the long and short of it. I found his office process stiff and cold. Being screened prior to being seen is not new. I'm sure this is done in many settings. Office staff was less than cheerful so I see why this has been remarked on. But here's the rub. If your being seen by others for other conditions in your life and your honest with your interview you may well be denied services or even being evaluated further. If your a new Ohio Medical Marijuana patient and have the need for psychiatry don't bother wasting your time here. This is viewed as, and I quote, "street drugs" and if your truthful in your intake you will be told that Dr. Vivian does't see people who do street drugs. So, that being said, I am still looking. I would suggest you do the same. Don't start with a dead end and being treated like a social pariah for the help you seek. I am sure there are much better choices in the area. Find a group who is more in tune with today's world not holding on to the past.

My boyfriend is in the medical industry and I called him and told him I was out of many medications and didn't know what to do. After a brief conversation he said he was very worried and rushed over to take me to the hospital - I don't know what I would have done otherwise. I have never been to intensive care and didn't even know what that was. Here is what happened. 1) Tiffany told me that if I don't go to intensive treatment, she will no longer treat me. I asked if she would still prescribe my medications. She confirmed yes. 2) I started an intensive treatment program 3) A week later I got an email with an official letter saying that after 90 days she will no longer treat me as a patient. I was kind of surprised and confused, but 90 days is more than enough time to find another provider. 4) I NEVER HEARD FROM HER AGAIN. 5) My prescriptions were running out. I frantically called, emailed, texted several times. NO RESPONSE 5) By the time I went to urgent care, according to the doctor, I was displaying signs of psychosis and they were quickly intensifying. She said if I hadn't gone to urgent care when I did, there was a strong likelihood I would have become a danger to myself and possibly others, or go into a seizure requiring inpatient medical treatment. I have never experienced psychosis. The scary part is that I FELT COMPLETELY FINE AND NORMAL. My boyfriend told the doctor that the psychosis symptoms were quickly getting worse. I was shocked. Tiffany put my life in danger. I cannot believe the lack of professionalism and code of ethics. Or just being a decent human. Never, ever again.
