I presented my insurance card and was assured by staff that my procedure would be covered. I have been notified that Dr Katz was out of my network for at least a month prior to my appointment. I am now on the hook for hundreds of dollars on something that should have been covered mostly if not all by the ACA. My appointment was preventive and had I known I'd be charged, I would have canceled and found a different doctor. Always be sure to call your insurance prior to any doctor appointments. I've learned the websites aren't always up to date and the office staff can mislead you.

I certainly felt like I got a lot of great one on one attention and they were dedicated to making sure I had five star care at all times. My second child was high risk and they took every precaution there was. I had monthly ultrasounds and any time there was a potential problem, they got me into a high risk OB to have a 3D ultrasound in less than 24 hours. If I had concerning symptoms with any of my pregnancies, I had an appointment and was seen by my doctor within a couple hours. You can't put a price on care like that. My only complaint is follow up outside of maternity care. I've had tests run and been told I'll receive a follow up call and I never do. Or a standard appointment leads to a secondary appointment and I'm told someone will call to schedule. They never do. This isn't a reflection of the amazing doctors, but rather someone behind the scenes who is dropping the ball. At this point I'm just aware that I'll need to wait a week and call to handle things myself. It's worth it to deal with such a great all-female practice.

I was able to secure an appointment a few days from my original call to the office, they were accommodating to my issue and from my first visit to the office very professional. Dr. Heather Boyd is the newest addition to the care team and extremely welcoming, she listened to my issues, reviewed the materials from a previous doctor I saw for ten years, took some tests. I came back for return visit two weeks later with results of the tests, she throughly explained the options available to me, I decided surgery was the best solution for me. Surgery was scheduled a few weeks later, the associate in the surgery scheduling made me feel comfortable, worked with my insurance and confirmed twice everything was approved. On the day of my surgery at Christ Hospital was seamless, all of the nursing staff were top notch. Dr. Boyd came in to check in me before the surgery and afterwards. The morning after my surgery Dr. Wendel checked in on me making sure I was okay and Dr. Boyd called me 30 minutes later making sure I was recovering well. My post op appointment two weeks later again Dr. Boyd listened to me, made sure I felt comfortable and said don't hesitate to call if you have any questions on your continued recovery. Today I had my six week post op appointment, the office was busy, so had to wait a bit in the exam room. Dr. Boyd apologized for the wait and again answered my questions, completed the exam, everything healed properly and good to go back to work. She again stressed if I have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out she's here ensuring I have the best quality care. Amazing to know Mt. Auburn OBGYN truly cares for their patients which is a rarity these days. Two items to note, there is a wait once you arrive for your appointment and once you're in the exam room, I know appointments back up, but would be nice to be told when you check in, we're running late 15 minutes today, etc. Also their office and the exam rooms are a bit dated, a remodel would be nice matching their amazing service.

Tons of appointments, medications, not enough clear communication about what is going on and no promises of success. The couple I met in the waiting area had been trying it for 3 years before success. With that being said I will say Dr A gets results ! I will say this the west Chester office is awesome Sara, heather and Jackie were great. If you're heavy in any sense of the word you will need to lose weight before ivf and the dr has no problem saying it. What they need is free counseling and a weekly support group for all the stress that you have to go through. On the website they mention a support group and gave 3 dates at the beginning of the year I guess the rest of the year we are on our own. I met a few women who were just as frustrated as I was and we started meeting and talking on our own. She's now pregnant like me and our kids will probably be friends too. I've found it more helpful. At this point I've had 3 iui with no success and I just got my first ivf with icsi on a 5 day blastocyst it was successful it's a lot to go through but it's a long way to the finish line. Dr a does a good job putting me at ease. Bottom line dr a can get it done but it's going to take a while and some work no bippity boppity boo here.

Several basic items in my plan of care…read morewere missed and several staff where ill equipped to deal with basic parts of their job (e.g., telling me clearly I was experiencing an early pregnancy loss, when I clearly was due to blood work). We should not be expected to be shrinking violets when faced with incompetence in a medical practice that has such a firm grip on the market here in Ohio for something so critical. What a racket! I understand why people feel grateful to IRH when they get pregnant here. But if you look at outcomes data OR simply try to engage with this practice, you might see that this place is very far from best in class and very far from being a good patient support in an important life moment. Here are some examples - 1) 20% of the time that you call, you get to talk to a person 2) The plan of care discussed with a doctor in a 5 min visit is not revisited in subsequent visits with other clinicians (in my case, leading to a delay in initiation of IVF because of confusion about when the cycle would start) 3) You will sometimes wait for 45 minutes for an 830a appointment that will take 10 min, with no acknowledgement of the issue or attempt to improve. After experiencing several levels of dysfunction in this practice, I hope everyone interested in fertility care hears this before wasting time here -- IRH has some good people working for them but they are not the best place for care (just look at SART outcomes if you don't believe me!). I hope to spare everyone the dread and delay that is associate with dealing with this group. It is sad to see so many people sit quietly staring at their shoes in the waiting room at Rookwood - dependent on a practice that appears to care so little about being best in class. So happy for those that got pregnant here despite the clear issues with this practice, which have obviously become worse over time with Dr. A's retirement.

I chose this office for my OB/GYN after finding out we were pregnant on the recommendation of my…read morefamily doctor. I am so glad I did! This is a group practice, which means if you choose it as your OB/GYN you will not see only one doctor but rather cycle through them all (plus the RN) then choose one doctor as your primary for when labor begins...with the possibility that one of the other doctors may handle the delivery if your primary is not available. Initially, this type of practice did not appeal to me but now I feel like it's the best choice for our situation. Plus, you can be sure that when your doctor comes for delivery, he/she will not be exhausted from having worked a 12+ hour shift. The doctors at this practice at the time of this review are: Dr. Billock, Dr. Woeste, Dr. Kanter, Dr. Bevin, Dr. Khatia and Tina Ranson (RN). If it matters to you, Drs. Bevin and Kanter are male. We have not chosen our primary yet as we still have two doctors to see (Bevin and Khatia) but of the ones we have seen, Dr. Billock was my favorite but all of the doctors we've seen have been relaxed and professional. They answer my questions and do not seem to be in a hurry which is really great. Additionally, I like that I can call in between appointments and leave a message with a question and someone gets back with me within 24 hours. That is really helpful, especially if it's a pressing question that you're feeling nervous about. If you choose this practice, you will get a welcome bag at your first appointment with formula samples (a full size container of newborn formula, actually), magazines, a planner and other information. Also, they will not see you until you are at least 6-8 weeks along. My first appointment was at 9 weeks. They accept Anthem insurance - that is what we have - but I'm not sure about other providers. When you have your 18-20 week ultrasound/anatomy scan, it will be done on-sight. I loved that I didn't have to go to the hospital. The ultrasound quality was *amazing* - so clear and crisp! The technician was very nice and explained what we were seeing. You can have guests with you - we had the two of us, my parents, my sister and SIL. It was standing room only, but it was still nice to have people with us. We also received about 12 photos from the ultrasound which was awesome. Overall, I am very happy with my choice. The only downside I can think of is that you are going through seeing each doctor, you will have to ask them all the same questions to see who is in sync with your line of thinking in terms of birth...this is really important to help choose your primary, so take the time interview each one! They will answer your questions and don't feel silly for asking them.

I take my medical care very seriously. The individual that referred me to Dr. DELLINGER hit the nail on the head when she said "you'll stop looking once you have seen Dr. DELLINGER". This physician is knowledgeable, professional, direct, and talks to you, not at you and she listens, really listens. She's thorough and will go the extra mile to make sure you're comfortsble with medical issues/decisions. Her M.A. is incredibly competent as well. I wholeheartedly recommend her.
