I was excited to try a new doctor for my annual exam, but I won't be back. The exam room was…read morecluttered with stacks of stuff everywhere and seemed to be not very clean, much less sanitary. I should have left at that point. On top of that, they pushed for blood work that I didn't want and the phlebotomist had basically zero personality. If you have any kind of anxiety over your blood being drawn, she offers zero comfort. The last straw, the bloodwork ended up costing over $200 and the basic office visit was over the amount allowed for an office visit by my insurance (which has never happened elsewhere). No thanks.

Planned parenthood used the same numbing cream but charged my insurance like most providers do. She couldn't give me a straight answer on why that specific clinic doesn't cover such a basic thing in IUD insertion and when I pushed on why she hung up on me. I called back and another person answered and calmly (the last caller was starting to get snippy before she hung up) explained what the last chick did that it's "out of their hands". So I would recommend finding a better clinic that is more fair with their clients. Tried to get me scheduled for 3 appointments without even checking my insurance and if it was accepted there. They seem sketchy and even left me a snippy voicemail because I left an honest review after I canceled my appointment. Sorry not sorry. BE MORE UPFRONT AND HONEST WITH THE WOMEN WHO ARE COMPLETELY VULNERABLE PHYSICALLY AND FINANCIALLY COMING THERE!

This practice is inconsistent at best and often incompetent. Several basic items in my plan of care…read morewere missed and several staff where ill equipped to deal with basic parts of their job (e.g., telling me clearly I was experiencing an early pregnancy loss, when I clearly was due to blood work). We should not be expected to be shrinking violets when faced with incompetence in a medical practice that has such a firm grip on the market here in Ohio for something so critical. What a racket! I understand why people feel grateful to IRH when they get pregnant here. But if you look at outcomes data OR simply try to engage with this practice, you might see that this place is very far from best in class and very far from being a good patient support in an important life moment. Here are some examples - 1) 20% of the time that you call, you get to talk to a person 2) The plan of care discussed with a doctor in a 5 min visit is not revisited in subsequent visits with other clinicians (in my case, leading to a delay in initiation of IVF because of confusion about when the cycle would start) 3) You will sometimes wait for 45 minutes for an 830a appointment that will take 10 min, with no acknowledgement of the issue or attempt to improve. After experiencing several levels of dysfunction in this practice, I hope everyone interested in fertility care hears this before wasting time here -- IRH has some good people working for them but they are not the best place for care (just look at SART outcomes if you don't believe me!). I hope to spare everyone the dread and delay that is associate with dealing with this group. It is sad to see so many people sit quietly staring at their shoes in the waiting room at Rookwood - dependent on a practice that appears to care so little about being best in class. So happy for those that got pregnant here despite the clear issues with this practice, which have obviously become worse over time with Dr. A's retirement.

This place treats patients like dogs in a puppy mill. Not only did they grossly mishandle my…read moreemotions about losing a pregnancy at 6 weeks (because of reasons my new clinic already figured out - while this place told me "it happens".) the doctors here (at least dr scheiber) prescribes the same medication and same protocol for every patient no matter your history. I know this because my nurse told me this when I started my second cycle. The only thing this place or their doctors cares about is money. Even when you choose a doctor he or she will not be there when you need them. Dr Scheiber was my doctor and he didn't do either of my transfers because he was "out of town" both times. This place doesn't even know my name. I'm married to a woman. They would CONSTANTLY call us by the wrong name. We don't even look alike. I was a patient here for a year. They have had me come in for scheduled appointments only to tell me "oops we didn't actually schedule that for today" and I've waited for over an hour on multiple occasions to be seen for a scheduled appointment. Also, I ran out of needles for my shots and it took over a month to get new ones because IRH doesn't have any communication with you or within its walls. The only time someone will call you in a timely manner is to tell you you have a bill to pay- and those bills don't stop coming even after you leave! Just do yourself a favor and pick another clinic. I could not be happier with my new doctor and PERSONAL plan for pregnancy. Oh also - I see clients as a hair stylist for a living - none of my guests who have used IRH (approximately 8 people) have anything positive to say unless they used their facility 10+ years ago. We all just cry and complain tog each other when I see them. Don't fall for old reviews - this clinic will fail you.

I chose this office for my OB/GYN after finding out we were pregnant on the recommendation of my…read morefamily doctor. I am so glad I did! This is a group practice, which means if you choose it as your OB/GYN you will not see only one doctor but rather cycle through them all (plus the RN) then choose one doctor as your primary for when labor begins...with the possibility that one of the other doctors may handle the delivery if your primary is not available. Initially, this type of practice did not appeal to me but now I feel like it's the best choice for our situation. Plus, you can be sure that when your doctor comes for delivery, he/she will not be exhausted from having worked a 12+ hour shift. The doctors at this practice at the time of this review are: Dr. Billock, Dr. Woeste, Dr. Kanter, Dr. Bevin, Dr. Khatia and Tina Ranson (RN). If it matters to you, Drs. Bevin and Kanter are male. We have not chosen our primary yet as we still have two doctors to see (Bevin and Khatia) but of the ones we have seen, Dr. Billock was my favorite but all of the doctors we've seen have been relaxed and professional. They answer my questions and do not seem to be in a hurry which is really great. Additionally, I like that I can call in between appointments and leave a message with a question and someone gets back with me within 24 hours. That is really helpful, especially if it's a pressing question that you're feeling nervous about. If you choose this practice, you will get a welcome bag at your first appointment with formula samples (a full size container of newborn formula, actually), magazines, a planner and other information. Also, they will not see you until you are at least 6-8 weeks along. My first appointment was at 9 weeks. They accept Anthem insurance - that is what we have - but I'm not sure about other providers. When you have your 18-20 week ultrasound/anatomy scan, it will be done on-sight. I loved that I didn't have to go to the hospital. The ultrasound quality was *amazing* - so clear and crisp! The technician was very nice and explained what we were seeing. You can have guests with you - we had the two of us, my parents, my sister and SIL. It was standing room only, but it was still nice to have people with us. We also received about 12 photos from the ultrasound which was awesome. Overall, I am very happy with my choice. The only downside I can think of is that you are going through seeing each doctor, you will have to ask them all the same questions to see who is in sync with your line of thinking in terms of birth...this is really important to help choose your primary, so take the time interview each one! They will answer your questions and don't feel silly for asking them.

Talk about unorganized. They said ultrasound today, but now they say they will "schedule" it…read moretoday. Sheez.
