The park has plenty of open green space, mature trees, and shaded pathways that make it a pretty easy walk even on warmer summer days like today. It has a really chill vibe and there is usually a good mix of people and families hanging out in and enjoying the space. There's a lot of community in this area and it definitely shows at the park. It's been a while since we've visited, and this is my first time here since they reopened the pool last year. It was incredibly busy in that area of the park so we made sure to wander over toward the rose garden where it was much quieter. The roses are in bloom and I took a cute photo of my dog in front of them this afternoon. Even though there were a lot of people at the pool area, the rest of the park had plenty of open space. It can definitely get crowded on the weekends or when there are big events, but typically you can find parking on the street all around the park or in the adjacent neighborhood. Just a few steps away. I did also notice the new self-cleaning restrooms that they installed at the park as we were walking by. You can see the digital displays from the sidewalk, but I did not need to use the restroom so I didn't check them out for myself. It's a very interesting concept however and I applaud the city for doing their part to try to create clean, safe spaces for the community.

And if that's not enough don't miss the Haggin Museum which has some nice pieces in there including the stunning painting of Yosemite Valley. I'll be visiting this park frequently over the summer!

Why work on this during the summer months when kids are off school? We had to drive around to find another location but all Lathrop park splash pads are not working or out of service. Sad...Has potential though. Nice large grass area and restrooms nearby.

There's plenty of handicap parking. Parking is also right next to the playground, splash pad, basketball courts and picnic area. It gets busy on the weekends; however, the weekends it's mostly the locals only. When it's crazy hot and you're tired of being inside and you want an alternative to the rivers, this is a great local option that's FREE as in paid for by our taxpayers $.

The baseball team plays in the NCAA Division I, West Coast Conference. Klein Family Field is UOP's baseball stadium. The stadium is less than 8 minute drive off Interstate 5, West Alpine. The games are open to the public to attend. I try to attend a game or two each season. Other schools in their conference includes Gonzaga, Saint Mary's, and CSU Sacramento. Occasionally they play demo games against the Pac 12 schools such as UC Berkeley and Stanford. The Klein Family Field is a 2500 seat baseball stadium. The stadium has foldable individual seats which surprisingly are comfy. The admission is all general admission, first come first serve seating. Tickets can be bought online or at the box office on game day. Ticket pricing increased from last year by a third. Children (ages 5-12) is $10, seniors (60+ years) /staff/faculty $13, and adults $15. Parking on the weekends is free. But check before you go, as things may change. The field is beautifully maintained. Natural grass, looks full and green. But by golly, they do have to do more to maintain the entire infrastructure. The public women's restroom was in bad state from the start of the game. The toilets smelled of stale urine. The floors and stalls were dirty, and two of the three sinks automated water dispensers were broken. Hubs stated the men's restroom also smelled awful like backed up sewage.

Went last night to watch Lincoln and St Mary's in a sectional playoff game, it is oriented similar to Banner Island Ballpark, with excellent field views, and parking right across the street. Only drawback was the fact that the only concessions open were in the Spanos center, about 2 minutes walk. A warm early summer evening, a fun crowd (packed with parents and kids. a great place to watch a ballgame.

We happen to go on a night that they were having a Ports backpack give away and a drone show! We love attending games here. It is such a different atmosphere compared to a MLB game. People are more relaxed, friendly, it's like enjoying a piece of your childhood! Plenty of places to grab drinks, food, beer and even some little baseball helmets with ice cream! We have been before on fireworks night, however, Friday waa a Drone Show! I did not get any pics of the show, it was awesome and perfectly choreographed! A must see! Great atmosphere!

My travel companions are national park people first but baseball aficionados second and they're on a quest to visit as many ballparks as possible. I happily tagged along for this Single-A game, and to my surprise, I absolutely loved it!!! This ballpark is tiny and cute with a cozy feel that makes you feel close to the action no matter where you sit. We even found free street parking just steps away which I would consider a small miracle compared to bigger stadiums. Since we arrived early, one of my friends and I ended up participating in not one but two of the in-between-innings promos and competitions. Did I want to be on the Jumbotron? Not exactly... but when in Stockton, right? I even won a trivia contest and walked away with an adorable little bear which I brought home to give to my friend's son. To top it off, one of my friends got me a baseball for my travel collection and he also gave me the t-shirt he got after winning a blackjack promo, beating the dealer. It was all so fun and silly in the best way. This is definitely a small-town baseball magic that made the whole experience memorable. I think the Ports ended up losing, but oh well! Between the friendly crowd, the quirky promos, and the charm of such a small, intimate ballpark, it was a delightful day. I'm genuinely glad I went and I'd happily come back for another game here!

However, through the years, the neglect of this park is starting to show dramatically. Roads are torn up, overgrown trees oftentimes scratch RVs and way too many stray cats. Our last two visits with friends were ruined due to faulty electrical equipment but worst of all sewage backup into the camp site. This is unacceptable but more importantly, pretty sure the health department would find this to be in several violations. We would be so disappointed to have to stop coming here but these issues are happening at different sites, not sure we want to be part of a crap shoot. SJ Parks department, please do better for your customers. UPDATE: Someone came and sprayed the area. All he accomplished was to spread the sewage leak to a bigger area of the campsite. EWWWWW

There is a play area for children, tennis courts, green grass and plenty of shade. They have some cement picnic tables and the park is reasonably clean. No one has bothered me while I have been here and the area is not too busy so the traffic doesn't mess too much with the ambiance. This park is definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
