I went to StretchLab on July 11, and unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. I want to be fair and acknowledge that the Flexologist who worked with me was very nice and appeared knowledgeable. However, the physical outcome of the session was not positive.
The following day, I experienced extreme neck pain that was significant enough for me to seek medical attention at urgent care. The nurse practitioner I saw advised me that he does not recommend StretchLab. My primary care provider has now referred me to physical therapy because I am still experiencing pain more than a month later.
I also have serious concerns about the qualifications and credentials of the individuals referred to as "Flexologists." I am not clear on what specific credentials, certifications, or clinical training are required for someone in that role to perform these types of stretches on clients, and after my experience, that is something I would want to know before allowing anyone to work on me.
What has made this experience even more frustrating is the way StretchLab has handled my feedback. I have continued receiving repeated, lengthy text messages asking for feedback, even after I specifically asked them to stop contacting me. Continuing to contact me after I clearly requested that they stop is extremely rude, intrusive, and unprofessional.
I went into this expecting a positive experience and instead have been dealing with ongoing pain and unwanted communication. Based on my experience, I would not recommend StretchLab. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a session to research the qualifications of the person performing the stretches and carefully consider whether this service is right for them read more
