There is only one, downstairs, and the exercise bicycle upstairs isn't the same type and it's not comfortable for me. The one downstairs has been broken for 3 weeks. I have brought it to the attention of 3 staff members who have heard it and said it will be taken care of. The front wheel makes a terrible clanging sound that is as disturbing to the people around me as it is to me. Please fix the machine promptly and seriously consider getting getting an additional one upstairs. For a fitness center of this size one more is the bare minimum. There are often people waiting to use this one frequently. Otherwise a great place to work out! The staff is friendly and it is clean and bright. .

Whether you're an early bird, a night owl, or just squeezing in a workout whenever life allows, it's always there. I've had a membership now since 2024, and likely will keep it unless prices go up. The equipment is well maintained, and the layout makes sense--you never feel like you're weaving through a maze to get to the next machine. The gym and the women's restroom are consistently clean, which I really appreciate. One of my favorite things is that it's only a few minutes from my house. Between the convenient location and being open around the clock, I have exactly zero excuses not to move my body. There's plenty of parking, and the lot is well lit if you're coming in before sunrise or late at night. The atmosphere is another big plus. People generally keep to themselves, which makes it easy to focus on your workout. Most of the cardio machines have their own TVs, and there's a solid variety of equipment--from free weights and kettlebells to plenty of weight machines. Honestly, I don't have many complaints. Bonus: it's located in the same shopping center as Round Table Pizza, Crumbl, Palm Thai, Sushi King, and Le Paris Artisan Bakery...so if you accidentally burn 500 calories and immediately decide to eat them back, you've got options. My experience with Fitness 19 AC has been well! I've gained some muscle, enhanced my workout routines, and even gotten to know some people along the way. This gym offers a great amount of equipment: squat racks, benches, tons of dumbbells, a green, and lots of machines (pec fly, cable, Smith, etc). When some of the more popular items are taken, I can usually pivot to an alternative device to prevent losing time. Their equipment is mostly well-maintained, with machines getting fixed quickly after being down. The staff working here, for the most part, are friendly and helpful. I've never been trained by them, but everyone I see with a trainer usually has a smile on their face. I never had any issues with staff members and even got to know some of them by name. I was able to lock in a decent rate with Fitness 19, and their price to value ratio will probably never be beaten. There were basically no hidden fees, just sign up and pay month to month. Frankly, I've been spoiled, and the process of signing up for a new gym will be painful because there is so much nonsense out there! Cancelling was easy too, granted that I had been attending for over a year. I met many people there, and usually if you attend regularly (which you should if you're trying to improve), you'll see the same people over and over again. This is a great place if you want to foster relationships with gym homies. Every gym goer I spoke with here was super friendly, even the gargantuan guys who bench 300+. If I had to critique one thing about this location, it would be sanitation. I'm a clean freak, so perhaps I'm biased, but I wish their [men's] restrooms smelled better (lots of protein powder and pre workout lol). That, and their drinking fountain water tastes off to me (may want to see if there is a filter to check or something like that); there is also calcium deposits around the mouth pieces too. These factors didn't stop me from enjoying my time at Fitness 19, however, if they were mitigated, I would have enjoyed it all the more. Let's start with the pros. PROS: super reasonable pricing, especially for everything you get. Friendly & helpful staff. Love that they have a turf area as well as a studio/ mirrored area for classes, and it's good extra floor space when classes aren't in session. Nice that they have a sauna, red light therapy, tanning booth, hydromassage, and IN Body scan available. Good range of equipment/ plate loaded machines, squat racks, cardio machines, TRX, you name it. CONS: Here's what's making me reconsider my membership... the bathroom cleanliness is pretty unbearable. It's always been pretty dirty but I've been able to suck it up and tolerate it. Within the past month, I've started to notice black mold in the showers (unmistakably- it's fuzzy and everything), moldy and smelly shower curtains, wads of hair that don't get moved for weeks (indicating they're clearly not cleaning), and yesterday there were little black bugs on the shower floors that sort of looked like small black silverfish? The mats outside of the showers finally got cleaned a couple months ago, but they're starting to get that soapy/ moldy build up again. The sauna floor is extremely dirty as well and I'm not sure how often they clean it... makes me worry what we're breathing in. They also don't have any recycling bins despite California law and all of the cans and plastic they accumulate. :( These concerns have been brought up internally numerous times by many members of the gym and nothing seems to be improving. I'm super bummed because I otherwise love the gym, but I just need to keep my health and safety in mind. I shower here every morning before work and I don't want to be breathing in black mold... Hope they do something soon- it's a serious health code violation at this point.

I was a bit intimidated at first, but it was really just my nerves. The instructors are all very kind and friendly! Their classes are great for my bad flexibility (I used to not be able to touch my toes, but now I can touch the floor!) and low intensity work for people of different workout levels. I started at Tenacious a little over a year ago, in the thick of the pandemic, when my mental and physical health were at an all-time low. Sean and his team welcomed me with open arms--no judgment, no wild expectations, just good ol' down and dirty resistance training. I went from someone who could barely do one proper push-up to someone who's doing multiple sets (sometimes with a weight plate on my back!) each week. Here's a quick bullet point list of things I love about Tenacious: -they teach me the proper form but also the "why" behind the movements -they're masters at intermixing mobility exercises with strength so I always have time to catch my breath -they're flexible with the schedule -they never make fun of me for wearing lifting gloves so I don't get gross callouses on my hands -they let me moan and whine and complain, and then make me do the exercises anyway -they encourage me to keep up my outside physical fitness hobbies (even if it might mean I take one fewer session per week with them) -they take the time to understand my life outside of the gym (e.g. I'm a trial lawyer) and structure my programming to meet my unique needs (e.g. we focus on increasing ankle stability so I can wear stupid heels in court all day) But most importantly, they genuinely care about making me a healthy human. In the 13-ish months that I've trained with Sean, Alec, Gianna, and team, I've lost over 40 pounds. I considered starting this review by saying that, but (and I know it sounds trite) that is really not my proudest achievement since I started at Tenacious. Believe me, if you had asked me a year ago about my goals...that would have been my topmost priority. But Sean and his team have taught me to measure my success differently. I find wins in places I never expected, like adding just a little more weight to the barbell or doing an extra set because we have time. I truly cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you're on the fence, jump right in. Stick to it for a few months and before you know it, you'll be hooked for life, like me.

As someone who has never been sporty or fit, they made getting into shape accessible, fun, and now an important part of my routine. The coaches are all friendly and fun, and you can sense both the real care and technical expertise they put into the programming. It's welcoming and never intimidating. They take time to understand you, your goals, and starting point - every session is personalized to you, and they are constantly asking how your body is feeling and adapt to any injuries, aches and pains. Each session also focuses not just on resistance training, but on warm up, stretching, and all the accessory work to build a strong foundation. Exercises are explained in detail, including why they're in your program. You never move too fast for what your body is capable of, but over time see incredible progress. I've been amazed by how far I've come in just a year, and for the first time in my life have some visible muscle, some decent strength, and no longer struggle with lower back pain. More than that, it's made fitness a part of my identity and routines that will stay with me. I now have the confidence to do more training on my own and explore other activities. Through the year I've had multiple coaches - and depending on scheduling you might see different people across a week/month, usually with one main coach who you see the most. But because of the system and training at NTF, they can all pick right up where you left off with detailed notes and programming. I want to give a huge shoutout to the coaches I've trained with the most, including Sarah, Ryan, Alec, and Paul. It's certainly a premium offering and comes with the price tag to match, but I'm incredibly happy with the investment I've made in myself. I arrived early as instructed to fill out their waiver, however another class was in session and there was no one at the front desk. I'm not sure if this is how it normally is. When their class ended the instructor had me fill out your typical safety waiver. Instructor was nice, friendly, and attentive which I appreciated because I'm new to Pilates and their equipment. She was very helpful in guiding the class but also walking around the room and assisting as needed. It was such a great, effective, low impact workout. The space felt clean. There are cubbies in the front where you leave your stuff and shoes. I was told there were cubbies in the back room if preferred. They are located in a shopping plaza on Jefferson with a parking lot. I recommend bringing pilates/yoga grip socks but I noticed some people were barefoot. They have socks and apparel for sale. Would recommend and would go back.
