We joined post pandemic shut down, so there are a lot of extra machines because they had to close a few clubs last year. Because of only outdoor workouts for part of 2020, they use these extra machines outside. They happen to be staged around the pool. Regardless of all the extra equipment on the deck, it is really inviting! Most of the chairs and tables are put up because the machines are there, but for some reason I feel like it is still a place you could hang out. The furniture that is there is comfortable. Most people that come to the gym want to use the machines and the weights. The pool is not necessarily booked to where you feel crowded. Reservations are required still, but it's not difficult to make a reservation. We have worked out during the day and at night. It's really lovely at sunset. Have not used the indoor pool. We joke and say we are going to "the club" because after our swim, sometimes we take a dip in the hot tub, the steam room or the sauna. But to top it all off we always grab a massage chair. Staff is friendly, very clean, open and airy, new. All in all, I love going there.

The gym is prone to inconsistencies whether it be channel receptivity (75% of the time, there's a problem) or amenities. Not always are the wipes replenished, hot water dispenser kept full, etc. They've been out of tea for over a week. You'll see the fans are working but you'll wonder if the AC is on, especially in the cardio area. The music varies and leaves one wondering who made "that decision" on a Sunday morning. There's no cap on membership, so good luck with your workout if you go within/close to the prime time windows. The make-up of the gym is interesting, one would have to go see for themselves. Being on one's phone in between sets while doing weights is a routine problem; it results in camping. One can intervene by using their words, but it really doesn't change the problem. There's no signage that encourages patrons to do his/her set and move on. There's a treadmill that has been broken for likely 4-5 weeks now. What's with that? This morning, there was a sit down bike that had not been turned on, assumed broken. No note. By the way, there are only 4 sit down bikes. If you're thinking about joining, read the reviews and be sure and visit the gym in advance, get a couple passes...go at prime time windows. Then you'll capture it all. Btw, kids use the pool for swim lessons at certain times...mmm.

Let's start with the pros. PROS: super reasonable pricing, especially for everything you get. Friendly & helpful staff. Love that they have a turf area as well as a studio/ mirrored area for classes, and it's good extra floor space when classes aren't in session. Nice that they have a sauna, red light therapy, tanning booth, hydromassage, and IN Body scan available. Good range of equipment/ plate loaded machines, squat racks, cardio machines, TRX, you name it. CONS: Here's what's making me reconsider my membership... the bathroom cleanliness is pretty unbearable. It's always been pretty dirty but I've been able to suck it up and tolerate it. Within the past month, I've started to notice black mold in the showers (unmistakably- it's fuzzy and everything), moldy and smelly shower curtains, wads of hair that don't get moved for weeks (indicating they're clearly not cleaning), and yesterday there were little black bugs on the shower floors that sort of looked like small black silverfish? The mats outside of the showers finally got cleaned a couple months ago, but they're starting to get that soapy/ moldy build up again. The sauna floor is extremely dirty as well and I'm not sure how often they clean it... makes me worry what we're breathing in. They also don't have any recycling bins despite California law and all of the cans and plastic they accumulate. :( These concerns have been brought up internally numerous times by many members of the gym and nothing seems to be improving. I'm super bummed because I otherwise love the gym, but I just need to keep my health and safety in mind. I shower here every morning before work and I don't want to be breathing in black mold... Hope they do something soon- it's a serious health code violation at this point.

My experience with Fitness 19 AC has been well! I've gained some muscle, enhanced my workout routines, and even gotten to know some people along the way. This gym offers a great amount of equipment: squat racks, benches, tons of dumbbells, a green, and lots of machines (pec fly, cable, Smith, etc). When some of the more popular items are taken, I can usually pivot to an alternative device to prevent losing time. Their equipment is mostly well-maintained, with machines getting fixed quickly after being down. The staff working here, for the most part, are friendly and helpful. I've never been trained by them, but everyone I see with a trainer usually has a smile on their face. I never had any issues with staff members and even got to know some of them by name. I was able to lock in a decent rate with Fitness 19, and their price to value ratio will probably never be beaten. There were basically no hidden fees, just sign up and pay month to month. Frankly, I've been spoiled, and the process of signing up for a new gym will be painful because there is so much nonsense out there! Cancelling was easy too, granted that I had been attending for over a year. I met many people there, and usually if you attend regularly (which you should if you're trying to improve), you'll see the same people over and over again. This is a great place if you want to foster relationships with gym homies. Every gym goer I spoke with here was super friendly, even the gargantuan guys who bench 300+. If I had to critique one thing about this location, it would be sanitation. I'm a clean freak, so perhaps I'm biased, but I wish their [men's] restrooms smelled better (lots of protein powder and pre workout lol). That, and their drinking fountain water tastes off to me (may want to see if there is a filter to check or something like that); there is also calcium deposits around the mouth pieces too. These factors didn't stop me from enjoying my time at Fitness 19, however, if they were mitigated, I would have enjoyed it all the more. Overall, I'd check this place out if you're looking to improve health and fitness for a great price! I'm no longer in the area, but I can say that Fitness 19 AC played a big part in my life. Thanks, guys. Tl:dr Pros: - Decent amount of equipment - Friendly staff - Excellent value, price-wise - Good and friendly gym culture Cons: - Sanitation - Long wait times for popular equipment

It's actually not just a gym, it's a wellness center and is not for everybody. I toured the new Health-quest and it was nothing compare to Synergy. I toured the new In-shape, and I walked in and walked out!!!! The towels they give you for showers are rags that I wouldn't even use to wash my car with!!! I tried the $10 a month gym in River Park and well , that's why it's $10 a month. Synergy is the cleanest and most sanitized place to work out that I've ever been to. It's part of the Queen of the valley , so it is constantly mopped, wiped and dusted and sprayed and cleaned, around the clock.... and that was before Covid!!! The class instructors and staffs are the politest and most courteous and patient and fun and so are the members. If you're not happy working out at Synergy, Well, you're just not a very happy and satisfied person, and that , nobody can fix but yourself....... try other places for a day or so, and you will appreciate Synergy more.

However, there are no appointments available. For this month or ANY future months! Beyond this, part of their ' improvements' included removing the only machine that can be used for lifting heavy weights for glutes. I hope management sees this and can explain the logic in removing the only machine available to build strong glutes, which inform so many other functional areas of our mobility. Please explain how this is an improvement!
