Be careful about their cancellation policy. They make it very difficult to cancel and want to charge you for an extra 30 days.

I've never actually done any training at Kinex other than the Tues/Thurs Evening and Saturday morning bootcamp classes, so this review won't cover any of that. However, the facility is new and clean, and has plenty of equipment. The trainers that I've met all seem friendly and competent, and it looks like they're doing a thorough job with clients during the times that I've been at Kinex for boot camp. I started going to their boot camp classes soon after Kinex opened. Sam and Jordan have done a pretty great job with the classes the entire time, and it doesn't matter if only two people show up or 15 show up - all the classes have been great. They have a good mix of workouts, and it doesn't feel like there are a lot of repeats, even week to week. They focus heavily on core workouts, and my abs/obliques always feel great after a class. Sam and Jordan do a good keep the classes fun and talk and joke with the participants. They usually have some kind of music playing to help distract you from the hard work you're doing. If you're looking for a boot camp class, I can definitely recommend the ones at Kinex.

My review of BodyBarre is past due! I am so happy to have been told about this place! Each…read moreinstructor, each class, each visit -- wow. BodyBarre is such a welcoming and happy studio! The instructors are well-versed in each of their low-impact, workout-exercise forms. I've attended Pilates mat, Mat Lengthen, Signature Barre (combo Pilates & barre & yoga), Define (oooh, baby!), Fly (silks) yoga, Flow (yoga), BB Bliss, BB Burn (ohhhhh, baby, baby!) and many of the 45 min. afternoon classes and 60 min. evening classes. I also took a Salty Yoga in the Salt Revival salt room! The only classes I haven't tried are those crack-of-dawn ones. Sending power to those ladies who workout before I'm awake! I am not, and have never been a ballet dancer. I am three months into classes at BodyBarre, and I can say that I am stronger, more balanced, and feeling better - because I'm moving small and large muscles during these workouts. BodyBarre is for ALL bodies, ALL ages. This is a place that truly welcomes, and encourages everyone. I would recommend anyone thinking of adding a little, or little more, or a lot of cardio to take a few BodyBarre classes at your own pace. For me, it was time to discover that I could do more for my health by adding some cardio in a fun, supportive studio. Locally owned, too! Paige, Samantha, Anita, Megan, Avery, Cassidy, Rani, Leilani, Sarah and Lori - you are incredible, and I'm so glad that you are sharing your passion for health and fitness with us!

Paige & Estella infuse me with energy! I had never been to a real barre class before (just Youtube…read morepilates videos for me), and I had thought that my routine had been sufficient for about four years throughout university. However! In class, the instructor gently adjusts you to have lovely form and proper technique, which really makes a difference in how refreshing my workouts feel afterwards (apparently careless technique when I did pilates on my own sometimes just sort of left me feeling drained after my workouts). Having to pay attention elegant technique makes pilates from more than an isolated sweatfest during the day, and makes it seep into other parts of my life -- i.e. I've started getting compliments on my posture by my mother (the ultimate accomplishment). It's not too difficult for those just beginning -- the instructors seemlessly transition from warmup to sweatbreaking moves to cooldown. On the other hand it's quite quite sufficient for those wanting a good workout, and I've been satisfyingly sore from their classes many a time.

The Spa area which we pay extra for was not upgraded at all. The The reason why I'm posting today is because I went to the Pasadena Fairmont, PF, which was absolutely amazing. I finally know what it's like to sit on a massage chair, hydromassage, that actually massages you and relaxes you. The equipment is amazing. They have a circuit room with updated equipment. PF at El Dorado has taken their circuit out and they have a couple of pieces of equipment there. I'm saying this to say that we pay the same as the Pasadena PF. Please upgrade the Hydro massage the massage chair the red light and you might want to make our circuit room look better now that you've taken everything out. Please note that I've given a four because of your wonderful staff at El Dorado PF. The location would have a five if the equipment was updated in the spa that we're paying for. Thank you. The club manager is not responsible for the updating of the Black Spa area! I don't think Black Spa members should pay for an incomplete service.
