With the high foot traffic, things seem to get dirty pretty quickly. The restrooms need more frequent upkeep, and the showers are starting to feel gross as well. One downside (which I know isn't fully controllable) is how extremely packed the gym gets in the late evenings--borderline overwhelming. I also wasn't a fan of the forced sales pitch during the membership sign-up. That said, the staff is generally cool. The young lady who helped me set up my membership was awesome--super helpful and welcoming. I wish I caught her name because she really stood out. On the other hand, the manager gave off an erratic and jittery vibe, which wasn't the best impression. The gym is phenomenal during slower hours and much more enjoyable then. I'd honestly avoid peak evening hours if you can. The layout is a bit confusing at first, but manageable once you get used to it. Bottom line: great gym for the price, solid equipment, but cleanliness needs improvement and the evening crowds are the biggest downside.

I've never actually done any training at Kinex other than the Tues/Thurs Evening and Saturday morning bootcamp classes, so this review won't cover any of that. However, the facility is new and clean, and has plenty of equipment. The trainers that I've met all seem friendly and competent, and it looks like they're doing a thorough job with clients during the times that I've been at Kinex for boot camp. I started going to their boot camp classes soon after Kinex opened. Sam and Jordan have done a pretty great job with the classes the entire time, and it doesn't matter if only two people show up or 15 show up - all the classes have been great. They have a good mix of workouts, and it doesn't feel like there are a lot of repeats, even week to week. They focus heavily on core workouts, and my abs/obliques always feel great after a class. Sam and Jordan do a good keep the classes fun and talk and joke with the participants. They usually have some kind of music playing to help distract you from the hard work you're doing. If you're looking for a boot camp class, I can definitely recommend the ones at Kinex.

The minute I stepped in, the trainers knew my name and helped me. If there was something I wasn't able to do, one of the trainers made sure I got modifications. I love how each time I attend class, it's different. I always feel challenged, but not frustrated because everyone is always encouraging. At $45 a week, F45 seems pretty pricey. However, I believe that it is worth investing in myself. Besides, I spend more than $45 a week on Starbucks -- why can't I put that money in something more enjoyable and beneficial to my health? Instead of asking if F45 is worth the price, ask yourself if you're worth it. I would gladly give up all my vices to be able to keep attending sessions at F45. Great place, great people!

We lift heavy weights, slowly, for just 20 minutes. I don't event sweat, but I haven't changed my diet at all and I have built so much muscle! I personally know people who have solved bone disorders and ruptured spinal disc issues with just this workout, at this location. I was recommended by a friend and I have recommended several more friends. You will be skeptical until you try it!! They recently took down all their anatomy posters, which made it harder for me to visualize my muscle groups. The price is tough, but the old saying goes: you can have something good, fast, or cheap. Everyone is very encouraging here, if you have a question or need help, there are several people who are willing to help. All the equipment is there for deadlifts, squats, bench press, and the Olympic clean, snatch and jerk. Zach does crossfit classes on one side of the warehouse! There is a spot where he has a treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, and rowing machine. Those are the only "machines" at this gym. There are plenty of free weights on both sides of the gym. There are a lot of regulars that I've seen probably every time I've come in. I'm not gonna lie it was way intimidating at first but that went away pretty quick once I saw that we were all there for one thing, to lift heavy stuff! It's not like most gyms where you aren't allowed to drop weights, you can use chalk here and drop as needed. The chalk really helps, I was using gloves at the other place but they just don't work as well as chalk. There is no "kids spot" here but they do not have an issue if you bring your kids. There is plenty of areas for them to come along with you. Of course you have to be aware of them being there, though! I've flipped the tire a bunch here too and that alone is a great work out. That sucker is heavy!
