I was able to do most activities or at least adjust to one's I could do. The instructor was energetic and motivating. Music was pumping up the class. We even had a well behaved puppy participant. The room was bright and well heated. Really great experience.

Their indoor track is my favorite in the South Metro & St. Paul area: rubberized, 3 lanes of comfortable width, 11 laps/mile. It's suspended above the Community Center's basketball courts, which is great for two reasons. 1) It's out of the way so you don't have to worry about people meandering onto the track. 2) There's usually some practice or game going on, which means you'll have a bit of incidental entertainment as you exercise. Also, they have several bays of floor-to-ceiling windows along the one wall, so unlike some basement-like facilities, you'll get to enjoy some natural light as you put in the miles. This facility is clean with a capital C. Everything is spotless--the track, the equipment, even the locker rooms were in impeccable condition. The building's over a decade old (built in 2003, if I recall correctly), but it still looks shiny and new. Pricing is very reasonable; since I'm here fairly infrequently I utilize the walking-track-only day pass, which is less than $5. However, please be aware that this option is not available Monday-Friday between 4-7pm. For a few more bucks you can get full run (no pun intended) of the fitness center with no restrictions. There's all sorts of membership options, of course, that you can find on the website. They have fitness classes and personal training available at the ECC as well. I've never used these services, but it's worth mentioning they exist. Spacious, un-pretentious, affordable, easy to get to, easy to park, friendly staff, never crowded... ultimately, a good gym, and a great amenity for the people of Eagan (and surrounding areas).

The instructor Midge was very nice and inspirational and the entire class said hello and made me feel comfortable. Strength class kicked my butt. It was packed, fast paced, and I should have arrived earlier than ten minutes beforehand (ok, eight minutes beforehand). Flow class this morning was a great choice to stretch out my sore muscles from yesterday. Onward to my last trial class this week: cycling!

We usually default to Minnehaha Falls across the river, but I'd never actually explored this side--which looks to be really sprawling with new townhomes and modular single family homes. We parked near the dam and walked along the trail to reach the stairs leading down to Hidden Falls. Heads up: the walk down is a little precarious since there's no railing for most of the stairs, but it's not very steep and the trek itself is pretty short. The falls themselves were a bit disappointing at the moment--more of a trickle than a waterfall--but it is early in the season. That said, the forested park area it winds through was really nice, and made the visit worth it regardless. I can already tell this place is probably stunning in the summer when everything is green and flowing! Even with the lower water level, it was a great way to explore somewhere new and great to see there were so many people already exploring the park with it being chilly still!

The trail has inconsistent surfaces-- some of it is paved, other parts are dirt and gravel. Just something to be aware of (it wouldn't work well for skateboarding or rollerblading, for example). There are a couple docks you can fish off of or just sight-see from. A wooden bridge across the lake makes for excellent photographs. There is also a boat ramp (walk to, not drive to). The parking lot is pretty large with many spaces.

Learned that SUPs were first come first served, but mentioned we were headed to them in mound from Coon Rapids and it would kinda suck to drive that far. I asked what our chances were and they were sweet enough to make sure they didn't all disappear! The process is super easy, tou check in and then walk the few hundred feet to the beach. They bring the boards (or whatever you've rented) over to you and you're set! When you're done you just beach the items and they come grab them. Only down side is SUP is kinda hard for a newbie as the lake is clearly a play lake. Constantly rough from all the jet skiiers.

The chef Jeremy was charismatic and very knowledgeable. He taught us techniques on how to cut certain vegetables/fruits and tips on cooking as well. I loved his hands-on approach ! He was super nice as well. Of course, the menu couldn't be beat. Although we weren't able to take the food home (bummer) we served the food family-style and everyone got to serve themselves and get seconds. Had a great time overall!

I walked away happily massage drunk and like a proper noodle. My therapist made my low back feel so much better! And I felt nurtured and supported. I even got a recipe card so I can make it myself if I wish. Sooooo refreshing not to be asked over and over if I want to buy packages of massage (which they definitely have), when I want to rebook, or if you buy this powder today you get a discount. OH! And, sadly for the therapists but great for consumers who have issues with this, there is NO TiPPING in a health care facility. (Who knew?!) So, you simply pay for the massage or service and that is that. The other great thing is they are open 7 days a week so I can get a massage anytime that is convenient for me. Mornings, evenings and weekends. What a gem! My only question is why didn't I know about this sooner?! I love this place. I can't wait to go back for acupuncture!

You can also Try the class led by trainer Lonny for free. The place is staffed usually 3-6 pm most days. The place keeps costs low that way. The bathrooms are always clean. Noone steals your stuff. You get a lanyard with a card that scans to let you in. There are SNAP fitness locations throughout the state and you can Access all of them.

Then leaves the card for 6 months and tries to charge it again. Staff member then accuse me of making the mistake and says when I cancelled membership that we did this for you to be nice and this still could be your fault so we may still charge you. Just not a good experience and makes me sad about how I was treated.

I have tried all manner of personal training from discover strength to the trainers at different gyms and these folks are as good as I have had anywhere.

They got me back on the road to recovery and used every tool in their arsenal to help me get my knee and surrounding muscles stronger. I started having troubles with my quads and hamstrings being tight and in spasm. They had the problem under control in 3 sessions and I'm still using the exercises they provided as part of my long term recovery. I've never had trouble scheduling and they have always been willing to accommodate my work schedule as well. I hugely recommend the team at Viverant Edina!!
