I did not take classes here so my review is not based on them…read more This gym's one positive is that it's pretty inexpensive. I did not care for this gym at all. There is zero energy in the place. If there is music playing its quiet. The batteries for the remotes controls for TVs are frequently dead. It is difficult to even watch TVwhile on cardio equipment because they are small, not all HD and there is no headphone option. Often times TVs next to each other are on different channels making impossible to hear either. There is not a good star climber. There is only one decent bike. The pin loaded equipment is old, possibly old enough to drive! On an early visit, one of the staff asked me how I got in!! I was furious. I get it if he doesn't recognize me but how about welcoming me instead of making me feel like a criminal. Frequently out of towels. Locker room is straight out of the '80s. That thing needs some updating. It could also use a good cleaning . Lots of green algae growing on the grout.

I have been working with Les for almost a year now and the results have been amazing…read more I had been working out on and off for most of my life. I have never made progress like I have with Les. He is exceptional at providing critical feedback, keeping me safe, and pushing me beyond what I knew I was capable of doing. He has an uncanny ability to design a routine customized to the needs and limitations of my body. Before working with him I would often tweak muscles or injure myself working out. Working with him I have never had any issues. I had back pain for almost 13 years prior to working with les. I thought that it was just something I had to deal with. I had tried yoga, massage, and a variety of other things to alleviate my pain, but it wasn't until 4 weeks into my program with him that I noticed I no longer had any pain. It wasn't even a goal that he and I had discussed. I imagine it was a result of learning to move properly and developing strength in the proper areas of the body. The progress is slow and steady. There is no promise of a quick aesthetic fix, but the results come at a healthy pace. If you're looking to feel better, move better, look better, I highly recommend checking out the facility and speaking with Les Raymond. He will change your life.

My main complaint/regret is that they close at 6pm on Sundays. Secondary gripe is that it's in the middle of a business complex not very walkable to anything- normally that's not an issue but I took a Lyft here and then needed to find somewhere else to wait a couple hours without a ride. I arrived at 4:30pm and already had the waiver filled out so check in was a breeze. I only bouldered today but I took a peek at the fitness area and ropes sections. There are tons of cardio equipment, weights, and heavy lifting/squat stations. Also appreciate the availability of dumbbells in 7.5, 12.5 lb options- you don't find those everywhere. The boulders were challenging and fun, I maxed out at v5 today; I'm always more cautious at new gyms, but I enjoyed my short session. Some v4 climbs stumped me! The locker/restrooms are amazing too. Spacious, tons of lockers/storage, showers, and even a foot wash station. Looks like they have a robust yoga/fitness class schedule as well. I'm not sure when I'll be back in the Baltimore area again, but I will definitely revisit this gym next time! @azfitfoodfun

Our instructor, Thomas, was fantastic. He's super knowledgeable and passionate and very focused on safety. I felt comfortable the whole time and like I had plenty of time to learn at my own pace and ask questions. He was encouraging and kind. I didn't expect to learn so much in this class. By the end we were able to belay and climb. The course focused on tying onto a rope, belaying someone safely, and catching falls. Again, Thomas was focused on safety and explained common mistakes people make, why they're unsafe, and how to avoid them. After the class, we were able to explore the gym and do some climbing and bouldering on our own. That essentially means that the class came with a free day pass and set of rentals- a great value! If you're looking to get into the hobby, the classes at Movement seem really worth it.

He introduced himself and pointed to his co-owner wife, Florence, who was working out. I waved to her as I toured the gym. I felt at home immediately!! They were so welcoming, friendly and super helpful! This "true gym" has everything you need from cardio equipment to the real deal tools to build your body for personal satisfaction or if you're competing. There is wide variety of weights to build muscle whether you occasionally workout or are a serious body builder. They even have a POSE room! Repke Fitness has changed my life in a deeply positive way. Louben, Sara, Darius and Noah care…read moreimmensely and are extremely skilled, experienced, and knowledgeable professionals, who understand both personal training and physichal therapy at the same time. They know how to do it right, and the team at Repke build personal relationships and foster a positive, connected, and effective personal training family that I look forward to participating in each training day. Before Repke, I was unable to find a fit after trying many trainers and was convinced I just needed to be a "do it myself" guy. Every trainer was too pushy, too cocky, or too unsafe. Repke is different and better. In addition to fostering a connected and energetic community, Louben requires that his team of trainers develop deep physichal therapy medical knowledge, and know how to do advanced muscle balance and be deeply attuned to form and all muscle groups. They build individualized relationships and customized plans for each person, and adjust those plans to your growth and changes over time and day-to-day needs. If you are actively doing something wrong, they step in with care and coach, correting, teaching, and guiding. They meet you where you are at, targeting exercises that hit your needs at your level of fitness, but not pushing you into what you can't yet handle, unlike others. Before Repke when I lacked guidance, I overtrained my upper-body "push" muscles as so many guys do, and between that and bad desk work posture, I developed very tight upper chest and upper cross syndrome. I couldn't reach and touch much of my back, and needed physichal therapy for immobility. With the Repke team, I've developed a personalized plan to undo that tightness and balance push and pull. I can discuss with them feedback from my physical therapist (who they knew because two of them had worked with her in physichal therapy before!!), and they immediately know what small muscle groups to train in addition to large ones and the best and medically most effective *and* safe exercises to use, and how to truly *teach* and *coach* the form to make those exercises work. This has magnified the effectiveness of my ongoing physichal therapy and I feel like I have a comprehensive, personalized, fully invested team. As a former teacher and coach, game recognizes game. I know of nowhere else I could work with a trained Muay Thai coach and fighter who is also a skilled, physichal therapy medical professional (Darius, you are the best!). I intend to be a member of the Repke community for my lifetime, and I highly recommend you join, too. Repke Fitness is for anyone looking for caring trainers who know what they're doing, and who want to make sure they are doing it *right* and are looking to join a community working to live healthy together.

My parents have been training with Louben and his team for over two months now and I'm seeing very promising results in balance, strength and functionality. I am very pleased with their progress, (given their advanced age), and the fact that Repke Fitness has helped them accomplish that safely. The biggest success in my mind occurred just yesterday, when my mother (85), caught her foot and tripped in an unavoidable fall, and then immediately said "No worries--I've been practicing getting up from the ground", then she proceeded to do just that! I know for a fact that she did not have that skill in August when she started working out there.

I was terrified to pick up a barbell, and in the intro class, you become familiar with the moves with a PVC pipe first. All of the coaches are amazing. The classes are fun! They're hard, but you don't even mind when you are working out with people who are cheering you on and jamming out to the music with you. I've never met a better community of people to workout with. I genuinely look forward to going to the gym. There are plenty of times that work for any schedule and you have the option to go to open gym. It took me MONTHS to walk through their door, and I wish I did it sooner. Let me tell you, the coaches and members do not make this gym intimidating or closed off. I was so welcomed on my first day. Everyone cheers everyone on, no matter how small the win. This is definitely a plus as it allowed me To be able to workout without feeling crowded or having anyone in my space. As I scanned in there were two staff members at the desk, both said hello and provided a pleasant greeting. Another plus as such a warm interaction helps to break the out of place feeling that comes with visiting a gym while on vacation. Special that's to the staffers who were on shift 03/16/24 at 9am. All in all this was a pleasant experience and I will visit again when in the area.
