It's a super welcoming environment & the workout classes are very motivating and they constantly push you to be better. I love the fact that they are instructor lead and that there's always variety to the workouts. It's a mix of being on the treadmill, a rowing machine, and floor work with free weights that's set up like a circuit style. The best part is the heart rate monitor and getting to actively see how many calories you're burning, what heart rate zone you're in, and how many splat points that you have. All the instructors that I've had so far have been very high energy and have always done a good job at being clear and explaining the workouts well and giving assistance were needed. I look forward to many more classes here and starting my journey of being consistent and getting in better shape!

After obtaining a special wristband to coordinate the machines for your personal goals, staff takes you through the 11 machines, which offer a total body workout. For me this is about building bone density and strength. They also offer both indoor and outdoor pools, along with MANY classes, and children care. Tons of free parking. Great staff!

If you want to attend the class you need to sit by your phone or the app, at a certain time, and vie with others to get one of the spots. If you don't get one of the spots, they will put you on a waiting list. But, if people are not going to show up for the class, they probably won't call the desk to cancel. I suggested that they add another class/instructor but they seem to be saying that that was also not possible. I probably won't be staying around long since this is the way they run things. No ill toward anybody, it's just not a good way to do business.

Although I consider myself to be in relatively good shape, my muscles were very sore the day after my first workout, which tells me that the 45 minutes were well spent! The instructor is very helpful, and is quick to correct my form when I am not doing something correctly. Unfortunately this is not true of all boot camps, as a more expensive boot camp I did recently never corrected my form in the month I was there (and I know I couldn't have been doing everything right!). I like that they also give you a comprehensive nutrition plan, and many helpful suggestions, recognizing that diet is important if you truly want a healthy body. This is a great place for the novice or the experienced!

Everyone here seemed courteous but they where here to lift, fully equipped with Hammer Strength equipment, and plenty of power racks and deadlifting stations. Small gym but well equipped and Not crowded. The free benches need some love but the are serviceable. Pure Barre in Oakley is a beautiful studio with fantastic classes…read more I am about 16 classes in and that is about how long it has taken for me to figure out what is going on (in a good way). The instructors are really great about helping with adjustments so you get the most out of movements- so if they are giving you lots of adjustments in the beginning that is totally normal. I am down 1/2 inch in my waist and feel strong. I also have more energy. I am also waking up muscles and learning to recruit them. The studio is beautiful. Immediately when you enter, shoes go to the left. There is a variety of clothing, including "sticky socks" or "grip socks" which are needed for class (you can buy these ahead of time or in store- they run about $18). There are also skincare and other fantastic smelling items from a woman owned brand (this Pure Barre is woman owned too). Towards the back is the check in desk. The barretender and instructor will greet you there. Be sure to tell the instructor you are new (if you are) so they can pay special attention on your form. There is a bathroom all the way to the back. To the front right is the studio, and behind it are lockers and equipment. A whiteboard will show equipment needed (and this is wiped down at the end of class). The class itself is fantastic; there are 4 total formats; they move quickly and have great music- it's completely normal to shake- in fact it is a good sign. Classes somehow fly by for me- and I usually do get an endorphin rush. Instructors are high energy and super nice. They give clear instruction and do an excellent job of making sure your form is at its best. Other clients are super nice and if you let them know you are new, they are very motivating; some of them are thousands of classes in! If you are on the fence about whether to give Pure Barre in Oakley a try I would definitely recommend it- and if you stick with it you will love it!

They push us to keep working and call out our successes in class. Once you start going regularly they call you by name during class, and they're always there to help you modify exercises if you need to. If you want a great workout from teachers who care professionally and personally, then this is the studio for you! They have done an incredible job adjusting to the reality of COVID-19, too. We have classes online that we can watch anytime, and they interact on the Facebook page with workout tips, life updates, and funny content.
