I attended a free Pilates session this studio hosted at our local farmers market, and after the…read moreclass I was selected as the winner of a one-month unlimited class giveaway. I was genuinely excited and appreciative of the opportunity, but unfortunately my experience afterward left me disappointed. From the beginning, I found the explanation of the studio's services and policies to be unclear. Following my first in-studio class, the communication over the last few hours was not pleasant and made me feel more uncomfortable than welcomed as a guest. One of my biggest concerns was learning only after the giveaway had already been awarded that a payment method was expected to be kept on file "just in case." In my opinion, giveaways should be transparent from the start. seemed as if this is their was of making the money back from if the free guest misses a session and their not in a hole. which in my opinion defeats the purpose of the giveaway. When I expressed my concerns, I was advised to speak with the studio owner, Toby, for clarification. I made several separate attempts to reach out but never received a response or a phone call as told. Being referred to the owner and then receiving no communication made the experience even more bothersome and left me feeling as though my concerns were not valued. While the one class i did attend was enjoyable, the overall customer experience, communication, and lack of follow-through did not leave a positive impression. Because of that, I chose not to continue using the complimentary month. I sincerely wish the studio continued success and hope this feedback is taken as an opportunity to improve transparency, communication, and the onboarding experience for their next "giveaway"

Part 2 to reply to the owners comment to my first post:…read more I contacted the studio directly multiple times over several months before leaving this review, so their polished public response is disappointing to read. If the empathy expressed here were genuine, my cancellation would have been handled months ago, the repeated billing attempts would have stopped, and I would not still be receiving ongoing payment texts and emails for a membership I do not owe. What has not been addressed publicly is the actual issue: my cancellation request was repeatedly denied despite medical documentation, an unauthorized freeze was placed on my account, billing attempts continued afterward, and my direct communication was repeatedly ignored. This response feels focused on public image rather than accountability or resolution. A polished response means very little when the private handling of the situation tells a different story. For anyone considering a year-long membership, I strongly encourage you to fully understand the cancellation terms before signing and be aware of how difficult it may be to cancel if circumstances change.

I was Pilates curious about a year and three months ago (hint: this is how long I've been with Era…read morePilates now), and was trying to decide which of the listed choices to try out. I was lucky that there was a manageable amount of options to choose from, and the reason why Era initially stood out to me was the individual and small capped class sizes. I remember when I first called, I was so nervous as I said I wasn't a "pilates" body. Mary, the owner, was the one who answered my call, and firmly told me everyone was welcomed to do pilates. I was still a little skeptical, but signed up for my first initial session and was paired with Hali. I remember being intimidated initially by all the apparatus, but Hali walked me through them with ease, but I also remember getting my butt thoroughly kicked by that session. As I enjoyed it, and wanted something physical to my routine, I told myself to give it six months before finding something else to do. It's quite obvious that I love Pilates, seeing how I'm past a year doing this. I have had Hali as my private instructor this entire time, and have faithfully been seeing her on a weekly basis, unless vacations or holidays pop up. From the time I started to now, I know there's a huge difference, one of the biggest being that I no longer have lower back pain. I know my core is stronger since I constantly engage it, nearly automatically, when doing other physical tasks. When I first started, roll ups were something I struggled with, and now, I am able to articulate going back down and up. Every session is a challenge, but I always leave it feeling stronger and taller. I can even say from this latest lesson, I know I've grown. Hali constantly pushes and challenges me, whether I want to or not. She does a great job breaking down what we are doing, to make sure I understand the what and the why. I also appreciate her hands-on approach to corrections and feedbacks, as it's the fastest way for me to understand and ensure that I align myself correctly. I had the opportunity to also take one of Valerie's group classes. While a different style, she was a great instructor providing verbal feedback and ensuring the class was a challenging one. I haven't had the opportunity to follow up with more classes with Valerie due to my schedule, but I hope to visit her sessions when I am able to. I love the vibes and space that Era provides and hope that I continue to practice with Era for a long time!

At the time, my motivation and commitment to sticking to a gym routine was not where it needed to be. Self-Confidence was beyond low. I wasn't at my healthiest. I didn't like what I saw in the mirror. It was very frustrating, but I knew I had to do something. Thanks to James, that something led me to the doors of Mas Aesthetics. Since then, I've never looked back or had any regrets. This gym and the personal trainers apart of it are what I needed to get my butt back into a gym routine. As of right now, I only go 3 days out of the week. I have noticed positive changes in myself physically AND mentally. I pay a very affordable price each month. They are flexible with scheduled payment dates within reason. This is honestly the cheapest price for personal training in Central Indiana. The certified personal trainers are friendly, welcoming, fun, non-judgmental and are very knowledgeable when it comes to exercise and nutrition. The personal trainers are very flexible when it comes to my workout schedules each week. With my busy full-time job, sometimes I can't come in when I want to and they are understanding with that, which I love. They value me as a client and know that life happens. The gym is small and intimate where the personal trainers can focus on YOU as a client. Never crowded. A nice, fun, nonintimidating gym atmosphere. Just FYI, there is only one restroom. There are no lockers, but they do have cubby holes. I've never had any issues with those minor things, though. If you are in search of personal training, this is the spot to go. I HIGHLY recommend!!
