It was amazing! I did 90 minutes and it was worth every penny. But the way, save a little money and pay cash. My neck and shoulder that brought me in are feeling so much better! My lower back that's always angry has calmed down too. The combo of stretching and massage is perfection. I'd like to try a traditional Thai massage next time, but this was a great entry point. I kind of never want to have a different style massage ever again. Using your body weight and elbows/knees/feet instead of just hands is genius. The place is a tiny bit hard to find, so look for the big American flag and go in the door under it. It's an upscale building and spa. They don't have the spa amenities you might think of when I say upscale, but they are so good at what they do they don't need frills. Trust me, they will take care of you!

Hands down the best massage I've ever had. "Why?" you ask…read more Buckle up. I ran in FLUSTERED. I was running late from work. Lukkana greeted me and told me to catch my breath. She set me up with some calming tea and brought me to a private changing area with a locker for my belongings. Everyone in the vicinity checked in to make sure I was doing ok. I was worried that because I had arrived late, I would eat up some of my massage time. No siree! They moved my massage to start when I was ready to begin. I booked the 90 minute Nuansa classic massage. You know how some places start the clock before you've sat down and finish the massage early (aka you pay for an hour and it's only about 45 minutes)? Well! That's not the case here! I got all 90 minutes of my massage. The massage itself: not to be believed. Lukkana started by saying "time to relax". And boy did I. Let me tell you one thing about me - I have the most ticklish legs of anyone I've ever met. Usually, when I have my legs massaged, I kick a hole in the wall and the masseuse files for a lawsuit (this is an exaggeration). Well! Somehow, Lukkana was able to work the muscles in my leg without triggering my dainty ticklish reflexes. I was astonished! Then, you know how sometimes you ask for a firm touch and you get jelly hands? Or the other way around and you're walking out with bruises? WELL - Lukkana made me feel immensely relaxed WHILE ALSO really working the tissue. What a novelty. She finished up with a scalp massage, which is truly the way to my heart. 11 out of 10. Would recommend. Thank you so much for making my day.

We went here a few months ago. The place is very dark and feels like you're in an underground cave (which I guess you kind of are...) that's cordoned off from the rest of the world. Bathhouse felt much more like an open public space, less well-kept, and the intake at the front desk was very poor. Aire had a wonderful onboarding with a detailed explanation of everything available and where to go for it. The massages were mostly rub-downs and were very relaxing (I fell asleep during mine) but not therapeutic, per se. Aire also has salt scrubs you can do, which is a nice touch, and overall the pools are immaculately maintained during the day. So if you're deciding between the two and have enough money to go to either, I recommend spending a touch more on Aire. It's worth the difference.

My sister gifted me a massage and day at the baths so I went with her and our other sister for a special sisters outing. We each booked the orange massage which was 45 minutes or an hour including a face mask and facial massage. This is how the day went. Walked in at 2:30 and the lobby area was absolutely stunning, mood lighting, water with fruit on the side, comfy lounge seating, it was a total vibe. The women at the front desk were looking us up and down, judging hardcore I felt like an absolute outsider. We were in sweats, dressed comfy, it's a spa for goodness sake we were going to strip down anyways. I guess we didn't have the high class Tribeca vibe they were expecting. That was an immediate turn off for me and when they had asked if we had been there before, they weren't welcoming I'll say that. They gave us bracelets that they told us would light up when it was time for our massage and shortly after they escorted us to the women's locker room. We each got a locker for our things along with a bath robe and these water shoe slippers that I understand for hygiene purposes but they were gross and uncomfortable. The lockers were also difficult to figure out how to use and not functional whatsoever. After we changed we walked towards the door and entered the baths. There was a woman there, very very kind unlike the people at the front desk and she gave us a quick tour of the baths and told us again that our bracelets would light up when it was time for our massage. The baths are beautiful, the lighting is dark, there are fake candles everywhere, it was moody and romantic and very very cool. They had a salt water pool, a jacuzzi, bath temperature pool, hot pool and a steam room, allegedly. I'll get to that. No sauna, which was honestly insane to me at a high end place like this. And quite frankly a huge disappointment. There was an area to sit outside the steam room and they served delicious mint tea and water. We started in the bath water pool which was recommended. It was long and they had little alcoves. I think they had an appropriate amount of people down there, no pool was overcrowded, we had room to roam without feeling cramped. Next we went into the hot pool and that was the spot for me. It was very relaxing and the place smelled amazing. About 15 minutes into our relaxation they buzzed us for our massages. We couldn't all go in the same room so I went into my own room and my sisters went into a room together. The massage was bizarre and uncomfortable and not relaxing. The room was freezing. I was so cold throughout the entire massage. I took my wet bathing suit and slippers off and they gave you disposable underwear. I couldn't fit this underwear over my thigh. And I'm a size 6. Not only was it humiliating it made me feel like absolute shit about my body. It's absolutely insane to give a size small underwear to people getting a massage and thinking one size fits all. If this place is aiming to serve a specific clientele they made it abundantly clear with the underwear they gave me. Needless to say I went completely naked. The massage was nothing special, I couldn't breathe at all while on my stomach, was completely stuffed up when I turned onto my back, the face mask was freezing, the scalp massage lasted 30 seconds I had goosebumps from being so cold. After the massage they gave my bathing suit back to me and it was clear they had put it in a heater to get warm while I was in the massage and I appreciated that. Afterwards we got a juice that was included and it was delicious. Afterwards we went back to the baths and we had plenty of time to enjoy. I guess they come get you when your time is up and we ended up leaving before being asked to leave, so we definitely had plenty of time. The salt water pool, I didn't float, so that was a miss for me. We spent the rest of the afternoon doing the hot pool, jacuzzi and cold water plunge pool, which was so cold but so cool. I went into the steam room and was asked to leave because there was no steam, so it must have been broken. It was the closest thing I could get to a sauna so it was a bummer that the steam room was broken and that they didn't have a sauna to begin with. Afterwards we went into the womens locker room, took showers and sat at their bathroom vanity to blow dry our hair. The brushes they gave you were laughable, could hardly call it a comb. They had hair products that we appreciated. Face products would have been really cool but they didn't have. They had dyson blow dryers and the women attendant in the locker room was a sweet angel. She kept making sure we had everything we needed, just a doll. When we went to check out they asked us if we wanted to tip our masseuse, which of course we did and then we left. I had an amazing day with my sisters, but I could get a better massage for $100 on LI and not drop $400.
