Dumplings with pig ear and pickles
Vijay S.

Great presentation, great food and excellent service I was a skeptic walking in ... an Asian Tapas theme?!? (Isn't that just dum sum?)... all dope boys were laid to rest - the creative twists in each dish bring the unique Spanish flavor to Asian food and have made this distinct. We had a multi course meal but what I remember are the following: - oysters with a coriander and lime sauce - delicious - their take on fish and chips (a ceviche white fish with some flickers breadcrumbs and a chip - spread out on butcher paper) - amazing - ramen with a variety of flavors - almost the best broth I can remember - dumplings with pig ears and pickles - good - grilled octopus in a tikka sauce - OK The dessert was a yogurt based custard - hard to describe but tasty. Great wine selection too. The only thing missing that would make it a 5 Star is the ambiance ... but that is more by design...overall great value for money here.

Their gorgeous fun drinks -- forget what it's called--this one was very floral and light. (Not the martini)

Went here for lunch -- an amazing experience!! Everything from the restrooms, staff's uniforms to of course the food and drink was an experience! Each dish was uniquely designed to give you that theme park feel of excitement. Mind you I did go in the afternoon -- so the music was at a good level. I have however heard that at night it can get quite loud for dinner. Price wise -- it's fairly up there. Highly recommend going for lunch. They have a fantastic tasting menu, which pretty much has a bunch of their signature dishes for £35 I do recommend ordering the brioche that's not on the tasting menu-- very yum and perfect for dipping with curry. This is a very fun and unforgettable place -- going with friend and people you'd like to share the experience is the best way to do it.

Mostly excellent veg tasting menu, check! The only downer of the multiple courses was the final dish with peas and avocado. Very bland. Amazing presentation though. The cocktails are excellent including the spicy mescal drink I had. So why only three stars? Because whilst the service was top-notch at the start, it got terrible right before dessert. We had to wait a long time for it to arrive and trying to get the bill was an ordeal. We had to ask multiple servers who ALL seemed to forget and trying to even catch attention for any was hard. I swear I say servers in London have tunnel vision. We finally snagged a floor manager it seemed who was very apologetic but if this was in NY for such a posh establishment, the response would have been to reduce the bill. This was not even offered. Then at the bar we also had to wait for some time, ignored by the bar staff despite having a "reserved" seat. Despite the cool ambience and overall very good food, I won't be returning and advise others to hold off.

So we had a reservation at StreetXO for 9:30 pm, which is a newly opened restaurant in Mayfair- so of course, as per usual, it was difficult to get a table. But we made it! Entering the restaurant, I was amazed at just how warm and welcoming the staff were. We were assigned a host and was taken to our table. Looking at the menu, there was so much choice and has I have not been here before I was spoilt for choice. Whilst deciding our food choices, we decided to go for a white wine, I normally go for Pinot Grigio, but their house white wine seemed to still hit the spot. We also ordered one cocktail to share, which looked and tasted absolutely amazing! The idea to share a cocktail is a great idea as the cocktails are so huge! So the first we ordered was the Pekingese dumplings to share, which were crunchy pig's ear with strawberry hoisin. These dumplings were the bomb! I was a little hesitant at first, as I would be eating pig's ear but the taste was just exquisite. Tip: Smother the dumplings in the Strawberry hoisin to experience the full taste of these sweet dumplings! I then went ahead and ordered the Iberian grilled pork belly with mussels and shiitake mushrooms. I have to say that the combination of the pork belly and mussels are insane! What a great combo! Lastly, my friend ordered Korean lasagne XO style with Galician beef, shiitake mushrooms, and sour tomato sauce. I was thinking why come to a restaurant and order lasagne! However, this was no ordinary lasagne- This is StreetXO! This was probably the best lasagne that I have ever had by far! It was actually my friend's dish, so I only tasted a few spoonful's, but what I did taste left me wanting her leftovers. I definitely underestimated the lasagne, as it was crunchy, sour but left me with a sweet after taste. StreetXO does have a bar area, so if you cannot dine here, this would be a great place for drinks and cocktails, although if you do not dine here then you are definitely missing out! Overall, the vibe is great, whilst the food is unreal! It is that good! The service is slightly overbearing but you usually get that with most high-end restaurants, and it actually is a great value for money. Price: £££ What to wear: Smart casual Ambience and hospitality: Super friendly and attentive staff. The only downside is the restaurant is very loud and gets very busy quickly.

Quite extraordinary asian/fusion Tapas. Portions are relatively small, but presented in a very original way. I shared 7 or 8 of their creations with a friend for a pretty broad tour of their a la carte menu. All delicious!

It was like watching surgeons work together.....bravo to them all for providing such wonderful service and making each dish a standout. Open air kitchen where the grilling is done counter side. Fresh fish galore (it's on ice within eye view) the fish is selected and grilled based on order. This tapas hot spot should be top on your list of places to eat. Sharing plates is all the lure of these dishes. I have never been a fan of peppers but these grilled padron peppers with oil and sea salt were superb. The ribeye cap was bought to use with a large serving spoon it was beyond tender (yes the spoon was adequate to cut this succulent meat). It took barely any effort to chew since it was so perfectly prepared. The grilled octopus with paprika was the phenomenal. We should have ordered a second serving, it was a real palette teaser. The prawns were a lot of work and extremely hot, they were bought straight out the skillet to table so pack on the patience removing the shell. The mini meatballs along with the grilled squid with ink sauce is a must try when selecting items from the menu. Don't leave without ordering the flan, it was probably the best I ever tasted. Thank you for a memorable birthday dinner, Barrafina gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

The restaurant was a little small but it was cozy and the atmosphere was perfect for a girls or date night. My favorite was the tuna tartar tostada and hummus and pumpkin tostada. This was probably my favorite restaurant while visiting. My absolute favorite tapa was the tuna tartar tostadas. We also got the lamb, albondigas, and sliders. We didn't leave a crumb! My sister and her husband also ordered the hummus tostadas, roasted cauliflower, and grilled carrots. She's not the biggest tapas fan so I was so glad she enjoyed the food as well. We got a pitcher of red sangria to add to the experience and ended dinner with the Pan de Elote, which was quite the crowd pleaser. The restaurant is definitely in the "it" part of the city, lots of foot traffic and so many things going on around the place. The setup is real cool too. We sat at the bar, which is right in front of the kitchen so you get to watch as the cooks prepare the dishes. The service was real fast too. It is a bit on the pricey side, but if you don't mind splurging a bit, it's definitely worth trying!

Date-night-worthy Italian…read more My wife and I came here for an early dinner date while we were in London without kids and were impressed. We got the meatballs arancini balls on pea pesto, papardelle with wild mushrooms, rigatoni with basil pesto burrata and pistachios, and potted tiramisu. The standouts were the aracini, burrata, and tiramisu, but everything was quite good. The arancini were good for what they were but helped a lot by the being paired with pea pesto. I now wish arancini was plated on top of a counter-balancing sauce or food more often. The burrata was just fantastic and combining with pistachios and basil pesto brought the whole dish together in a way that really pushed things beyond the norm. The tiramisu came in a pot with a mint leaf sticking out the top. As with the other standouts, the tiramisu itself was good, but the whole presentation just really nailed things. The mint leaf went beyond decorative to actually boosting the whole dish. They also had a solid wine list and were willing to let us re-cork and take the rest of the bottle back to the hotel.

So you have to try the pasta. The waitress brought out some focaccia bread for us to try. It was delicious! We ordered some wine and calamari for starters. The calamari comes with 4 large rings. It was very good! The breading is light and it is cooked to perfection. For dinner I ordered the sea bass. It is a small fillet and comes with the skin still on, with a small side of grilled romaine lettuce and sits on a green sauce that looks like chimichurri, but doesn't taste exactly like it. My husband ordered the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. It was very good. The portions are small compared to most places. But, then you may have room for dessert! For dessert my husband ordered the lemon sorbet and I ordered the deconstructed lemon posset. It was delicious! I probably could have gone without it, as I was a little too full afterwards, but it was totally worth it! I highly recommend trying Morso. Get there early, or make reservations.
