Lovely location tucked away down a fairly quiet street in one of the busiest areas of the city. StreetXO offers Asian dining with a huge twist. Every dish is creative and beautifully plated. The ambiance is spacious yet intimate. And the staff are friendly and attentive but not TOO attentive. We ordered the lunch tasting menu so we could get a bit of everything. It's reasonably priced given the quality of food and where this restaurant is located. I'd say the foie gras ramen is the shining dish, followed closely by the cornish sole. The desserts and cocktails were gorgeous, with creative plating and outside-the-box presentation. We received drinks in a heart figurine and a take out box. I recommend this restaurant for those who are not picky eaters and like to explore interesting interpretations of cuisine. read more

Overall a positive experience and worth trying, but i am not sure if it would be worth a repeat visit for a full meal (maybe ok for drinks and small bites). Service was hit and miss - some waiters struggled a but with english and others did not respect privacy. Drinks at the bar are cool and I definitely recommend, they are decent but cool - they come in gimmicky/cool containers. Papas arrugadas: larger portion than expected. Portion consists of 4 medium sized potatoes boiled and halved (8 halves). Potatoes were topped with a heavy white fatty cream. Overall good for substance, but would not advise to order if you are in a group of less than 4. Fish and chips: excellent, sashimi was fresh, potatoes were thin yet crunchy and yuzu sauce was light and juicy (12 individual bite-sized portions). Pad thai: great spin on this traditional noodle based dish, the mushroom substitute does not disappoint. Presented as a wrap (made with an omelette), the dish is light yet nutty and easy to split between 2 people (on the smaller size). Cornish sole: a little fatty for my liking, so would probably pick an alternate main. Vegetarian dumplings: not as good as asian places specializing in dumplings but worth trying. Size is average (we shared 4 between 2) and dumplings were decent, just not anything mind blowing. Guava cheesecake: presented in a robust box with a lid, this was a great light option of dessert. Box was layered with vanilla bean ice cream on the bottom, then wipped cream, then caramelized pop corn and cookie chips w guava syrup - definitely recommend to finish your meal. read more

Great presentation, great food and excellent service I was a skeptic walking in ... an Asian Tapas theme?!? (Isn't that just dum sum?)... all dope boys were laid to rest - the creative twists in each dish bring the unique Spanish flavor to Asian food and have made this distinct. We had a multi course meal but what I remember are the following: - oysters with a coriander and lime sauce - delicious - their take on fish and chips (a ceviche white fish with some flickers breadcrumbs and a chip - spread out on butcher paper) - amazing - ramen with a variety of flavors - almost the best broth I can remember - dumplings with pig ears and pickles - good - grilled octopus in a tikka sauce - OK The dessert was a yogurt based custard - hard to describe but tasty. Great wine selection too. The only thing missing that would make it a 5 Star is the ambiance ... but that is more by design...overall great value for money here. read more

Went here for lunch -- an amazing experience!! Everything from the restrooms, staff's uniforms to of course the food and drink was an experience! Each dish was uniquely designed to give you that theme park feel of excitement. Mind you I did go in the afternoon -- so the music was at a good level. I have however heard that at night it can get quite loud for dinner. Price wise -- it's fairly up there. Highly recommend going for lunch. They have a fantastic tasting menu, which pretty much has a bunch of their signature dishes for £35 I do recommend ordering the brioche that's not on the tasting menu-- very yum and perfect for dipping with curry. This is a very fun and unforgettable place -- going with friend and people you'd like to share the experience is the best way to do it. read more

Drinks are great but food needs intervention! Seems like they're trying too hard. Stop with the over seasoned meats and heavy sauce soup take over gloopy mess. I'm dehydrated now! Desserts need a better variety, all look the same. No theater and I think you're trying to do that but it's not working. Mostly excellent veg tasting menu, check! The only downer of the multiple courses was the final dish with peas and avocado. Very bland. Amazing presentation though. The cocktails are excellent including the spicy mescal drink I had. So why only three stars? Because whilst the service was top-notch at the start, it got terrible right before dessert. We had to wait a long time for it to arrive and trying to get the bill was an ordeal. We had to ask multiple servers who ALL seemed to forget and trying to even catch attention for any was hard. I swear I say servers in London have tunnel vision. We finally snagged a floor manager it seemed who was very apologetic but if this was in NY for such a posh establishment, the response would have been to reduce the bill. This was not even offered. Then at the bar we also had to wait for some time, ignored by the bar staff despite having a "reserved" seat. So we had a reservation at StreetXO for 9:30 pm, which is a newly opened restaurant in Mayfair- so of course, as per usual, it was difficult to get a table. But we made it! Entering the restaurant, I was amazed at just how warm and welcoming the staff were. We were assigned a host and was taken to our table. Looking at the menu, there was so much choice and has I have not been here before I was spoilt for choice. Whilst deciding our food choices, we decided to go for a white wine, I normally go for Pinot Grigio, but their house white wine seemed to still hit the spot. We also ordered one cocktail to share, which looked and tasted absolutely amazing! The idea to share a cocktail is a great idea as the cocktails are so huge! So the first we ordered was the Pekingese dumplings to share, which were crunchy pig's ear with strawberry hoisin. These dumplings were the bomb! I was a little hesitant at first, as I would be eating pig's ear but the taste was just exquisite. Tip: Smother the dumplings in the Strawberry hoisin to experience the full taste of these sweet dumplings! I then went ahead and ordered the Iberian grilled pork belly with mussels and shiitake mushrooms. I have to say that the combination of the pork belly and mussels are insane! What a great combo! Lastly, my friend ordered Korean lasagne XO style with Galician beef, shiitake mushrooms, and sour tomato sauce. I was thinking why come to a restaurant and order lasagne! However, this was no ordinary lasagne- This is StreetXO! This was probably the best lasagne that I have ever had by far! It was actually my friend's dish, so I only tasted a few spoonful's, but what I did taste left me wanting her leftovers. I definitely underestimated the lasagne, as it was crunchy, sour but left me with a sweet after taste. StreetXO does have a bar area, so if you cannot dine here, this would be a great place for drinks and cocktails, although if you do not dine here then you are definitely missing out! Overall, the vibe is great, whilst the food is unreal! It is that good! The service is slightly overbearing but you usually get that with most high-end restaurants, and it actually is a great value for money. This is an eating experience on a whole other level. To enter you walk down the stairs into what feels like a nightclub - there's neon everywhere, dim lighting, cool music. Don't be intimidated though. Even if this isn't your cup of tea, the food is unreal. My party got the small tasting menu (which was still an overwhelming amount of food!) and everything was so delicious and artistic. The head chef has a vision for each dish and each drink. My drink came in a Chinese food to go box and was stirred with chopsticks. And the staff was all so friendly. Great for the eyes, not good for the tongue. Or the lungs, due to the smoke. The gazpacho type dish was so vinegary. The tomatoes with it were great. The scallops would have been good if they were less vinegary. We ordered the two craziest drinks, which was a mistake, they were not good. We had one good order (the Peking dumplings) out of three dishes and two drinks. Plus it is expensive. The decor is great. I recommend coming for a drink -- a normal drink like a beer or a bourbon and coke, not one of their specialty drinks. read more

The food tasted very nice, the issue we had (party of 4) was the portions of these dishes, i.e a lamb shank for 4 people it was only enough for 1. We had 8 plates and all we only had 1 mouthful. These dishes were on average from £15-20, expensive for the quantity, I will stick to Hakkasan and Zuma. Very odd restaurant to have in Mayfair, would have been better suited in Soho. Really fun place - although it was abandoned at lunch. We had the fixed price menu and it was great - pricy drinks make it easy to turn into a costly lunch. Lots of different things in fun presentations. The pig ear dumpling is a big highlight. The suquet was fun with coconut milk although for some perverse reason it came with a dainty amount of overdone pasta and no potato. They asked if we wanted bread to soak up the delicious sauce and then charged us £9 for it!!!! The service was great when it was there but despite being an empty restaurant we found ourselves often looking around for a waitress to get more wine. Speaking of for a Spanish restaurant the selection of spanish wine sucked - what they had was common or way overpriced. There's a strange asylum theme that comes off particularly cheesy - with as bright as the decorations are I don't think they needed to add costumes. I'm glad I went once but I don't think I'd go back - but I'd tell a friend they should go once. read more

Honestly I was about to give to give this place five stars and recommend it to all of my friends but atheist second I was walking out an incident happened. StreetXO has massive drinks, and one of the drinks was on the edge of the table. I was carrying my coat and the coat knocked over the drink and spilled some wine on the people sitting there. The People were very kind and understood my mistake but one of the waiters followed me outside and insisted I wrote down my credit card number onto a piece of paper so they could charge me for customers laundry bill. I said no I can give my cell number but the man kept insisting saying it was rude and that the least I could do is pay for their laundry bill. It was weird because things like this happen at restaurants all of the time and no one comes chasing after you insisting you write down your credit card number. I understand if it were the customers who were spilt on but it wasn't and it was hurtful that the man called me rude! read more
