Visually fascinating concept, this place sets out trays of tapas that differ each day, with sticks denoting the cost of each: small sticks run about £2.25 each and large sticks run about £3.25. Sounds like a good deal, but the bill can add up if you're there to eat heartily. Though the concept is novel, and it's neat to see everything displayed, the menu offerings aren't too special (sliced baguette with a thin piece of prosciutto, cup of olives, patatas bravas, meatballs, things like that) and everything's cold, including the meats on sticks, which tend to be overcooked. Cute venue though, and innovative seating against the wall. Great for a quick meeting or happy hour appetizer selection.

Deserves a great review. Fast, delicious, creative tapas. Friendly service. I'll be back.

Second time I've been...both very good experiences...great staff, welcoming, friendly, fun. Food is good, small portions, yes, but I guess that's the idea! But tasty. Yesterday I had the patatas bravas, hot spicy meatballs and the feta cheese, pomegranate and lettuce salad to finish...the latter was amazingly good, should have taken a photo but I managed to eat it before I thought of it. Washed down with a simple red. Nice place to sit and chat with friends and while away an hour or so...especially as it was freezing outside yesterday. Oh and the music in the background is also good. You need to be slim (not me then!) though to perch on the stools in the first section (there's a little snug and a back room with stools but a bit more space) and the tables are handkerchief size too...but who cares. Try it, laid back, unpretentious, easy

Gross - avoid at all costs. We walked in because tapas are always fun, right? NO! Please avoid. The concept is kinda cool, plates of self serve tapas with large picks indicating one price (~3 GBP), and smaller picks indication another price (~2 GBP) - sounds great, but there was nothing that looked appetizing! Where was the jamon and tomato bread? The croquettes? Way too much cod, not enough pork for my taste. I ate an entire bowl of olives and not much else. The desserts, only two out, both looked unappetizing. They had an all-you-can-eat deal, but I'm not sure how you could make that economical. Avoid.

The staff works beautifully together even with the limited space in their cooking area. It was like watching surgeons work together.....bravo to them all for providing such wonderful service and making each dish a standout. Open air kitchen where the grilling is done counter side. Fresh fish galore (it's on ice within eye view) the fish is selected and grilled based on order. This tapas hot spot should be top on your list of places to eat. Sharing plates is all the lure of these dishes. I have never been a fan of peppers but these grilled padron peppers with oil and sea salt were superb. The ribeye cap was bought to use with a large serving spoon it was beyond tender (yes the spoon was adequate to cut this succulent meat). It took barely any effort to chew since it was so perfectly prepared. The grilled octopus with paprika was the phenomenal. We should have ordered a second serving, it was a real palette teaser. The prawns were a lot of work and extremely hot, they were bought straight out the skillet to table so pack on the patience removing the shell. The mini meatballs along with the grilled squid with ink sauce is a must try when selecting items from the menu. Don't leave without ordering the flan, it was probably the best I ever tasted. Thank you for a memorable birthday dinner, Barrafina gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

The restaurant was a little small but it was cozy and the atmosphere was perfect for a girls or date night. My favorite was the tuna tartar tostada and hummus and pumpkin tostada. This was probably my favorite restaurant while visiting. My absolute favorite tapa was the tuna tartar tostadas. We also got the lamb, albondigas, and sliders. We didn't leave a crumb! My sister and her husband also ordered the hummus tostadas, roasted cauliflower, and grilled carrots. She's not the biggest tapas fan so I was so glad she enjoyed the food as well. We got a pitcher of red sangria to add to the experience and ended dinner with the Pan de Elote, which was quite the crowd pleaser. The restaurant is definitely in the "it" part of the city, lots of foot traffic and so many things going on around the place. The setup is real cool too. We sat at the bar, which is right in front of the kitchen so you get to watch as the cooks prepare the dishes. The service was real fast too. It is a bit on the pricey side, but if you don't mind splurging a bit, it's definitely worth trying!

Date-night-worthy Italian…read more My wife and I came here for an early dinner date while we were in London without kids and were impressed. We got the meatballs arancini balls on pea pesto, papardelle with wild mushrooms, rigatoni with basil pesto burrata and pistachios, and potted tiramisu. The standouts were the aracini, burrata, and tiramisu, but everything was quite good. The arancini were good for what they were but helped a lot by the being paired with pea pesto. I now wish arancini was plated on top of a counter-balancing sauce or food more often. The burrata was just fantastic and combining with pistachios and basil pesto brought the whole dish together in a way that really pushed things beyond the norm. The tiramisu came in a pot with a mint leaf sticking out the top. As with the other standouts, the tiramisu itself was good, but the whole presentation just really nailed things. The mint leaf went beyond decorative to actually boosting the whole dish. They also had a solid wine list and were willing to let us re-cork and take the rest of the bottle back to the hotel.

The pasta is made fresh everyday. So you have to try the pasta. The waitress brought out some focaccia bread for us to try. It was delicious! We ordered some wine and calamari for starters. The calamari comes with 4 large rings. It was very good! The breading is light and it is cooked to perfection. For dinner I ordered the sea bass. It is a small fillet and comes with the skin still on, with a small side of grilled romaine lettuce and sits on a green sauce that looks like chimichurri, but doesn't taste exactly like it. My husband ordered the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. It was very good. The portions are small compared to most places. But, then you may have room for dessert! For dessert my husband ordered the lemon sorbet and I ordered the deconstructed lemon posset. It was delicious! I probably could have gone without it, as I was a little too full afterwards, but it was totally worth it! I highly recommend trying Morso. Get there early, or make reservations.
