Having discovered Street Cat Rescue, while shopping at PETsMART for canine toys and other necessities, and meeting its founder Donna, I was introduced to a non-profit organization whose mission statement is..Helping the Forgotten..Street Cat supplies traps, cages and assistance in capture, neuter and return of the cat(s) to the area of capture, or in my case to me . After six months of care and feeding of Jack and Jill (the cat) at my place of business, Street Cat helped in capture, arranged appointments with the Austin Humane Society for spay and neuter services, picked up the cats and delivered them to the Humane Society for exam along with flea and heartworm treatment, all done at no cost. Having adopted Jack and Jill, and happy to do a small part in animal rescue, I now urge other to become involved through help in building shelters, feeding cats or caring for the cat habitat, adoption or by simply becoming more aware of the forgotten cats and Street Cat Rescue. read more
