I love working with Greg and April at Streamlline. They've done multiple jobs for me and I recommend them highly. They're professional and reliable. Their crews arrive on time and finish leaving my house as clean as when they arrived. If I have an issue or problem, Greg is quick to respond. I wouldn't go with any other company. read more

I wanted to follow up on the review I left years ago because exceptional companies deserve to be recognized not just for the work they do on day one, but for how they stand behind it over time. In 2019, when we purchased our home, we interviewed several companies for our sewer lateral replacement. From our very first interaction, Greg and the team at Streamline Plumbing stood out well above the rest. They were communicative, responsive, knowledgeable, punctual, efficient, and incredibly hardworking. The entire project was handled professionally and seamlessly, giving us confidence that we had made the right choice. Now, several years later, I noticed that the cement patch in our front sidewalk where the sewer line meets the street had settled and sunk. I reached out to Streamline Plumbing, sent a photo, and received an almost immediate response. Although I later learned that this type of repair is only covered for a limited period and was well beyond the warranty timeframe, Greg graciously came out and repaired it anyway. That kind of service is rare. It speaks volumes about the standards this family-owned business holds itself to and the pride they take in their work. They don't just complete a job and move on--they genuinely care about their customers and their reputation for quality. I recommend them without hesitation and would gladly trust them with any future plumbing work. Thank you for setting such a high bar for customer service and craftsmanship. read more

Outstanding Service, Integrity, and Efficiency! Streamline Plumbing was absolutely outstanding. I had several companies give estimates for replacing my lateral sewer line, but Cody stood out right away. He was the only one who took the time to check the city plans and accurately determine where our sewer line connected to the city's main -- others just guessed and warned they might charge more later. Cody clearly explained the process and possible complications, and when I later learned new information that could affect the project, he even came back -- completely free of charge -- to reassess. His quote was extremely fair, especially compared to others that were up to five times higher. Once I accepted the quote, Streamline coordinated everything with the city, and even though the inspector had a backlog, they still completed the work within three weeks. The entire job was done in one day (others had estimated up to three). The crew was professional, efficient, and courteous, answering all my questions along the way. Streamline also arranged the city inspection, which passed easily -- the inspector even commented on the quality of the work. I'm beyond impressed and will be a loyal customer for life. Streamline Plumbing sets the standard for honesty, expertise, and professionalism. read more

I am a Realtor and I will recommend them again! I am a Bay Area realtor and I've worked with several plumbing companies and by far, this was the BEST experience ever. Streamline performed the inspection for the sewer lateral for one of my listings. This sewer lateral was a complicated one since the sewer was 18 feet down from the street. They made everything look easy and completed the work very fast. They also coordinated with Ebmud to get the inspector out to the property to certify it. Thanks again!!! read more

We contacted Streamline plumbing to inspect a sewer lateral for damage. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule an hour before the appointment due to an emergency. Spoke with April who was very courteous and understanding. She was able to work with us and rescheduled us for the next available appointment. Cody came out to do the inspection and it was obvious we were in good hands. He arrived about 10 minutes early, was very knowledgeable, and most importantly professional. They went above and beyond with the flash drive. They're about 5 weeks out for new jobs, so call early and book quickly! read more

I hired Streamline after receiving multiple quotes from plumbing contractors to perform a sewer lateral certification for my home and comply with EBMUD requirements. Greg was extremely sensitive to my needs (primarily cost) and helpful in providing the most cost-efficient solution after the certification failed. They patiently answered my (sometimes incessant) questions with kindness and thoroughness. And, they reconfigured the system to reduce chance of future failure by removing some critical infrastructure out of the street where construction often takes place by our water utility. Not only that, Greg went above-and-beyond to support me in supporting me with a dispute with another plumbing contractor. Greg had no obligation to do so, and did it because he is a good person. He calmly explained his process and professional opinion, which resulted successfully resolving the dispute in my favor. I feel indebted to Streamline and Greg for their care throughout an otherwise stressful process. Thank you so much! read more

I worked with this company for a new sewer lateral. Their estimate was in the middle compared to a few other estimates I got. They brought a large crew with ~7 workers and a very friendly foreman. They put out signs on the street the night before to save the parking spots. It was a well-oiled machine and they finished the job by mid-afternoon. Two wrinkles: first, I asked the foreman to tell me when we had to stop using toilets. But they never notified me. This seemed like a basic thing to nail the timing on. Also, they had to dig in all sorts of different places around the house, and some of the landscaping seems permanently worse as a result of their digging. I know that they had to dig and it wasn't exactly their fault. However, there was never any communication about where they were about to dig. A simple thing I would have liked to do is to take a picture of the area around the holes so that I could try and restore the areas to how it looked originally. I called the office about this and never received a call back about it. So overall professional and efficient, but if you care about how the holes might change things, ask a lot of questions first... read more

I highly recommend this company. Very professional and prompt response to any questions. They attacked my lateral sewer replacement with 10 workers and finished completely in one day, including inspection sign off! On top of that, they were the lowest of three bids I received. I'm so delighted I went with them for my project. read more

After consulting with several companies over replacing my sewer line I decided to go with Streamline and ended up thoroughly pleased with their work and professionalism. Reading reviews it's evident that there aren't many competent, or ethical, companies operating in the area. My circumstances were unique in that there were a couple of high retaining walls to circumvent and a main connector in the street that was around 25 feet below grade. No small task and one company honestly told me they weren't qualified to do the work. Greg, the owner, was honest, upfront, professional and clear with the work to be done and I hired him on the spot. Literally a few days later he had a full crew out doing the work efficiently and in a very well planned operation, all trenchless. He had told me specifically where cleanouts needed to be placed and all the work done in one day, and appropriately clean afterwards too. All the permits and inspections were handled well and in the end I was extremely pleased with the work and dealing with the company. I highly recommend Streamline. read more

I recently bought a home and needed my PSL and sidewalk certification. Streamline did both in 1 day and turned around my certificates within 48 hrs. This company is punctual, prompt, reliable and highly competent. I was very satisfied with their work. When the owner came out for an estimate, I asked a lot of questions, including how many people work for him and how are they trained. The answer was 40, and he trains them himself. On the appointed day, the owner showed up with several trucks and a dozen workers. They were very friendly, helpful in digging up and replanting my plants, and there was great teamwork. Well trained and competent people, who did not mind that I followed them around and constantly kept asking them what they were doing. I learned a lot in the process about the function of my sewer and watched how to put in a new lateral with wonderfully synchronistic team effort. The work was done within one day. The next day in the early morning a cleanup crew showed up and power washed the sidewalk and street, to eliminate all the marks. In the late morning another team came to put permanent asphalt on the street. I recommend this company highly and will use them in the future if the need arises. Thank you Greg Martin for running such a well-functioning company! read more

The team was on time, professional, and their work matched the estimate. They left our yard in good shape. We would hire Streamline again.

These guys are AMAZING. They replaced the sewer lateral for our ~100 year old house in Piedmont, CA. They were super responsive, on-time, and managed all the permits like PROS. They were out by the end of the day, and even took extra care and time to replace everything on my lawn, side walkway, and deck. The crew rinsed everything so it looked clean after a major construction job. April and Greg are so patient and helpful. They helped me navigate scheduling -- EXTREMELY quickly -- and communicated very clearly. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Our HOA was required to be compliant with EBMUD and I had quite a few plumbing companies come out to assess and provide estimates to me. over the course of several months, I have dealt with companies who came out and never heard from again, other companies who didn't even assess and just tell me I needed a trench less sewer line, and others who didn't run a camera and just provided an astronomical estimate. After careful consideration, we settled on Streamline. They certainly wasn't the cheapest estimate but at the same token, they were not the highest. However, I liked the fact that they were professional and on time for the estimate. Greg came out and assess the situation carefully with a camera and looked around the property thoroughly. He provided me with two options to either try and run issues as is or provide a brand new sewer lateral line. Considering that we have had the same sewer lateral since they built these units, we opted to be safe and go with a brand new line. They were quick and got the work done within 3 days, waited for the EBMUD person to come and test the lines and sent us a certificate. Then, one and a half months later, we had a backup. So, I called Streamline to see if it was a problem with the sewer lateral and Greg came out the same day to assess the issue. Turns out, it wasn't the sewer lateral but rather someone in the complex flushing things that shouldn't be flushed. I just appreciated Greg coming out to assess it so quickly. That is professionalism! I highly recommend Streamline Plumbing if you want thing done quickly and professionally! read more

Wow! My husband and I can't say enough good things about Streamline Plumbing. Throughout the Underground Trenchless replacement of our aged sewer system, The owners Greg and April and their expert crew were topnotch . They provided a timely complementary estimate, in which Greg took the time to fully evaluate the complexities of the sewer system in the 4 plex. They project was completed right on time and they took great care to be neat and clean with their work. Greg worked with the City of Pleasanton to get all necessary permits to move the project along smoothly. His wife April was a pleasure to work with and coordinated the scheduling flawlessly. We would highly recommend Streamline Plumbing to anyone who wants a large plumbing update done right! read more

Moving to Castro Valley has a "draw back", as the city has implemented ordinance that any housing transaction resulting in new ownership will require that house to have a new sewer lateral and sewer clean-outs (as of 2019). Overall, it does benefit and protect your investment (your new home), since sewer laterals last about 30 years or so and needs replacing if older than that as you run the risk of the lateral leaking or breaking and all that waste water will go into the ground. The clean-outs will protect your house from any clogs in the lateral or city sewer line backing up waste back into your house. Streamline Plumbing gave us a quick estimate of the costs, and came out to do a quick assessment of what we needed. Since the house we purchased didn't have any clean-outs, it was a given that the lateral was old and needed replacing. With the new sewer lateral and clean-outs, it came out to being $6,800, which was a few hundred less than other places I got quotes from. April whom I was in contact with throughout this whole process handled everything from booking the appointment/time to have the crew come out to do the work to all the required permits and paperwork. Very efficient and the actual work on the lateral and clean-outs took a day (was ~7.5 hours, as the crew was here from 7:30am-3pm including city inspector doing the inspection). The replacement of the cement where the clean-outs were placed was done pretty well, and everything was cleaned (area where they needed to dig up to access the sewer lateral) and replaced properly. I recommend Streamline to anyone in Castro Valley or around neighboring cities that need sewer lateral and clean-out work, as they know what they are doing in an area that many of us new homeowners do not have any experience in. Before this, I didn't even know what sewer laterals and clean-outs were. Not knowing what something is and depending on a company to help you through this process requires a lot of trust, and with what I experienced from Streamline I definitely have my 110% trust in them! read more

I called a few places to figure out the process for examining the sewer lateral and fixing it to pass an inspection. Streamline was the only one that said that they'd send a rep over right away to send a camera up the line to see what work needs top be done (all others charged for this and said it might take a while). After the camera work, they gave me a reasonable estimate and completed the job on budget and quickly. They answered all my questions and cleaned up well. What more could you ask for? read more

Highly recommended. Streamline did a big sewer lateral replacement job for me in Berkeley (150 feet, including a five foot deep trench across the street to the main). It was done in two days, including pavement replacement. Craig Martin, the owner, and April in his office patiently answered all my questions in the bid phase. Two weeks after I accepted the bid five trucks and twelve men appeared at my door. It looked like the Normandy landing as some worked in the street and others fanned out around the house. The five trucks were carrying a whole array of specialized tools to detect buried pipe, fuse 12 foot lengths of pipe together, open the trench in the street and pressure test the final result. Later in the process dump trucks promptly appeared to remove dirt and fill the street trench with gravel. Everything was marked Streamline - no subcontracting, no scheduling problems. The workmen were clever and adept. The city inspector assured me they had done a good job. When they swept up and left at the end of the second day there was not a single loose end. With a smaller crew I'm sure this job could have taken a week. read more

We were required to get sewer lateral done due to purchase of a new property in Oakland and streamline gave us the lowest quote and were able to get us scheduled within couple weeks. Got the job done in a timely fashion and communicated really well throughout the process. The one feedback I'd recommend is that a day before the scheduled job just let the homeowners know to not use the water so they're prepared ahead of time. They did mention at the time of scheduling but it was my bad that I had forgotten about it by the time the work got started. Very happy with their work and highly recommend for any PSL needs read more

I recently had Streamline replace my sewer lateral at a home in Montclair. This is the second project they have completed for me over the past 7 years, at two different properies. Here are the things I really like: The owner came out personally and bids the project. They specialize in sewer laterals, and do them every day. Price was very fair and affordable. They had all underground utilities surveyed in advance. They pulled a permit for the work (City of Oakland) and also had EMBUD inspect and certify their work (20 year cert.). They showed up on time, exactly as scheduled, with 2 crews and 3 trucks. They completed the work neatly in one day, including concrete and asphalt patching. the final bill was exactly as quoted, with no add on costs. April (in the office) is very helpful, professional and sweet as sugar! read more

I live on a tree lined street in a neighborhood in which the houses were built 56 years ago and for the past 22 years I've dealt with invasive roots in the sewer line. In July I final decided that the sewer lateral needed to be replaced before it collapsed. On the recommendation of my plumber, Dan at Ready Rooter, I contacted April at Streamline Trenchless Sewer Replacement and she scheduled an appointment with Greg the owner for the following Friday. After a lengthy and detailed explanation of the trenchless process I signed on to have Streamline do the job. I am so glad I chose Streamline Plumbing for the seamless process and completion of this very complicated project. Every aspect of this job was expertly and perfectly completed in 7 hours. WOW, what a terrific crew and company. The best in the bay area, for sure. read more

Streamline replaced part of my sewer line so it would pass the required EBMUD inspection. And it did. But in doing so left me with a exterior waste pipe that now sits off by 15 degrees and looks like crap. I contacted them several times to come fix it and after 3 weeks the owner Greg calls me and leaves a voice mail of pathetic excuses of how and why it's supposed to be like that. It's not, it's just poor workmanship, to lazy to fix their mistake. Yeah my sewer passed inspection but I have to look at their crappy work every time I walk into my house. read more

Our septic system finally failed and we needed both a sewer lateral installed and an abandonment of the septic tank. Greg, the owner, came out and did a comprehensive evaluation of the site. He took precise measurements, evaluated the potential sewer connection with a pipe inspection camera, and noted potential issues with underground gas and water lines. Two other companies that gave quotes only did a casual walk around. We ultimately chose Streamline Plumbing. Not disappointed. The streamline crew showed up on time and completed the project in two days including inspections. They worked carefully to avoid damage and did a fantastic job restoring the site to its original condition. I would highly recommend them. And their quote was substantially lower than the competition and seemed perfectly matched to the amount of work involved. read more

Reached out to these very helpful folks for questions regarding a very serious issue I discovered in my plumbing. Although they stated they were going to be unable to perform the work (because they only do entire sewer line replacement jobs), they graciously called EBMUD on my behalf and tried to get some valuable information for me and they truly helped me the best they could. They were able to help me figure out my best course of action and were very responsive to me via messaging. Let's be honest, paying a bunch of money when you just purchased a house to have your sewer lateral fixed is not the most awesome thing ever. But, it has to be done. And Streamline Plumbing took a situation that I was hemming & hawing about and made it as painless as possible (at a very reasonable price, given the 5+ quotes I received from different companies). April was an absolute joy to communicate with. Friendly, flexible, and accommodating. I couldn't have asked for more. Greg (and team) did an amazing job on their work. They left a clean jobsite and were respectful of our tenants. We had a minor issue with some new concrete that they poured, but they addressed the problem very quickly and to our satisfaction. Another great experience here with Streamline repairing a sewer lateral in Berkeley. Very fair price, fast work.

Streamline is the Best Company to replace or repair your sewer lateral! From April in the office to Greg in the field and Benny running one of the crews, they all are honest, hard working, knowledgeable and happy to educate the customer about PSLs. I contacted 5 companies for bids. The job was about 70 feet of clay pipe, a Y connector at the house's cast iron main line and another Y connection at the back of the property where the main city sewer line ran. There was no sidewalk or street connection to deal with. Pretty straight forward job. Here are the bids: Pelican $6280 Advanced $5950 Pipe Spy $5150 EZ Plumbing Didn't show up for appt. Streamline $4480 Benny and the crew of 3 guys, got the job done in about 6-7 hrs. The EBMUD inspector cane on time and approved the work and test. The crew backfilled the holes, set the cleanout manhole and left the yard in very good condition. I am very happy with the price, the work, the great attitude of everyone at Streamline and even the EBMUD and Oakland inspectors! I wish I didn't have to spend the money, but it's the law. I highly recommend Streamline Plumbing for replacing or repairing your Sewer Lateral. read more

I give Greg and April my highest endorsement of all things I have ever reviewed on Yelp. We knew for some time we would need to replace our sewer later from our cleanout to the middle of the street about 70 feet away. After putting it off for a while, we were finally given no choice when the line started backing up resulting in sewage coming out of the cleanout. I had called a couple of companies long before this, and got a few quotes, but decided to call Streamline after they were recommended by someone I know. Though I did not get a call back on Sunday, April was the first of the companies to call me back on Monday morning. I was anticipating needing to run home from work to meet Greg, but April told me that as long as the work area was accessible, he could go there and generate a quote asap. Within 2 hours I had the quote in my email. I will not announce the exact price as I respect their need to be able to adjust prices for people as circumstances require, but I will say that I paid between $6-$7k. We did have to wait a week for them to commence work as they were pretty tied up at that time, but we were able to utilize our system sparingly while waiting for the work to start. When work did commence, I did not need to be home at all. The crew arrived just after 7am, and wrapped up by 5pm. The only work that had to wait a couple of days was concrete repair as it started to rain late in the day and continued a few days after. The scope of work was pretty straightforward; concrete demo, replacement of two cleanouts, new 4" hdpe pipe between the street main and the cleanout installed via the pipe burst method, and repair of concrete. They also took care of all permits which were included in the original quote. They really made it as stress free on my wife and I who both have regular jobs, and are not able to be home easily whenever things like this happen. What really drives my recommendation up is the fact that they came back recently when we called on them after discovering a leaking drain pipe running from our kitchen to the cleanout that they replaced. I was expecting them to come out to tell me how much it would cost to fix this as it entailed about 30 feet of new pipe with some concrete demo and replacement, and excavation. Greg came out to take a look the next day, and said he would have a crew fix it the next day. It was repaired within 48 hours of us discovering it, and we were not charged for it. Streamline is quick to respond, efficient in their work, help make the situation as stress free as possible, and go the extra mile when it comes to customer relations. If I ever need some plumbing work done in the future (and I probably will), they will be the first company I call. read more

Streamline did a great job for us last week. We learned that our 80+ year old sewer line needed to be replaced - all 120 feet of it. After receiving several estimates, we decided to go with Streamline after checking our their Yelp reviews and also contacting some of their reviewers, who confirmed that Streamline is indeed the way to go! They showed up on time, did their work quickly and efficiently, handled the entire permit process with the city of Oakland (yep, you need a permit to do this kind of work) and generally did a terrific job for us. The only part I didn't like - which certainly wasn't Streamline's fault, was having to hand over $843 to the city of Oakland to pay for permits, application fee, inspection fees, etc. WTH is a "technology enhancement fee" and why did it cost me $19?
